About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“Just resorted, it was purchased in California and I put many hours and money restoring it.
As you can see from the photos it is in excellent condition. Runs great and the decals can be removed.”
Glenn spotted this rare and restored Mahl Loader and CJ-2A. There are a ton of detail photos at BaT’s auction page. Note that the serial number used for the title is an engine number and not the original serial number. So, a buyer might want to consider that it your state is extra picky.
“This 1948 Willys CJ-2A is powered by a 134ci Go-Devil inline-four paired with a three-speed manual transmission and is fitted with a MAHL Jeep Loader attachment produced by Standard Iron & Wire Works Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The pair was acquired by the seller around 2010 and subsequently refurbished before installation of the loader in 2016. The truck is finished in black over green vinyl and features white-painted 16″ steel wheels, a fold-flat windshield, a dual-range transfer case, a power take-off unit, a Gre-Sen hydraulic pump, and cab-mounted hydraulic controls. This CJ-2A and Jeep Loader are now offered with an award, articles about the project, and a clean Minnesota title in the name of the seller’s company…..
The factory chassis tag has been replaced with a reproduction unit that shows a blank serial number, and the seller is unable to locate the chassis number on the vehicle itself. The last six digits of the VIN on the title—J172095—are consistent with that of a 1948 Willys CJ-2A.”

“For sale is a complete and running Government Issue Survivor 1943 Ford GPW flat fender Jeep (same as Willys MB but manufactured by Ford to keep up with demand during the war… if you are reading this you probably already know that). Still has the original flathead four-cylinder engine and original running gear. Has new Coker / Firestone military NDT tires. Has military canvas and soft top bows. Only thing missing is the emergency brake assembly. Lots of newer odds and ends like steering box rebuild, fuel pump, drivelines rebuilt and fresh seat cushions and military OD green canvas upholstery. This particular unit was a Navy Jeep during its service lift as evidenced by the two holes above the glove box for the USN id tags. Cash or cashiers check only. Do not even think about low balling I do not need to sell it that bad.

“1952 Restored M38A1. Antique License Plate, drive on road. Over $21,000 paid in parts/service(receipts). Engine, Carburetor, Trans, Transfer case, Front/Rear Axles rebuilt by “Army Jeep Parts”. Have military top also. Exhaust manifold & Exhaust, New Brakes, New Windshield, New Tires, 4 WWII Helmets and liners, Seat Belts, New Electrical wiring, New Fuel Tank & lines, New Seat canvas.”
This jeep has a few interesting mods. For example, a small modded-item holds the radiator in place using the holes from the grille’s footman loop. Or, I can’t remember seeing a power brake setup with a clutch master cylinder mounted to the unit like this one (is that custom, aftermarket, or out of something?). Some videos on this page: https://www.clasiq.com/auction/1942-jeep-willys/
“Obtained from a substantial collector out of the Fresno, CA area back in 2017. Odometer is a custom VDO and reads 05588, representing the miles placed on her since the complete reconstruction. Our current Owner has enjoyed the streets of Plumas Lake, CA and while not a big ‘wheeler’, has enjoyed the top-down scene offered by California’s fine weather. She has a clear and clean CA title in our Owner’s name.
New steel tub creates a CJ2 style Jeep atop a 1942 frame. Complete frame off was performed during it’s restoration and modification. Chrome accessories detail the body with plated hinges, latches, light rings and custom fit bumpers. Frame is reported as fully powder-coated. Soft-top canvas covers the interior and is reported to be in good shape, just not a perfectly tight fit. We finish with bead-lock styled one-piece aluminum rims and Wild Country off-road radials. And don’t forget that clean fit Warn winch riding up front. Continue reading →
“Restored 1967 Jeep CJ5. Great condition. Clean title. Garage stored.
The CJ5 restoration was completed in early 2017 and brought to Nantucket 2021. It has about 600 miles since restoration. The CJ is all original except the tub. Even the color is a factory color. It has a rare 6 cylinder. Most were delivered with the standard 4 cylinder. There is a new top with side windows, but need poles. The following was added: electronic ignition. electric fuel pump and a ahooga horn. Its in mint condition.”
