“1948 willys jeep. It has been converted to 12 volt. The motor is original inline 4 f head. It runs great and its not a rust bucket. The only things that needs to be done is bleed the brakes. I also have a tandom axle trailer that I use to haul the jeep on . The trailer is 10 ft long. I would sell the two together for 5900 dollars .”

“Original with Hardtop. Milage 83,800. Engine: Hurricane F-134 Rebuilt 20,000 miles ago with a new short block, milled head with reground valves and updated rocker arm. At the same time a Rebuilt generator along with a new water pump, brakes and wheel cylinders with new synchronizeres in the transmission were replaced. Extra leaf springs on suspension. 16 inch Willys wheels along with Warn hubs. Vaccum wipers were replaced with electric ones. New seat covers. Clear Title”

“Collectors will chomp at the bits for this truck. 1951 Willys Overland CJ3A Amazing original survivor. Excellent condition in all original state. This is a running driver with all available options. Well patina in all aspects- needs nothing but wash and shine. Engine is all original 75 HP OHV 4 cylinder in excellent running condition. Only 78,400 original miles. “Took this on a trade out of curiosity mostly, but I simply do not have the time to restore it right now. I was told it was a ’46, but I do NOT have a title or any papers on it. We had it running and driving on a boat fuel pump/tank (not included) a few months ago–it definitely needs a carb rebuild, but it ran surprisingly well. It is currently not running. The body/original fuel tank/seats are shot, but the frame and drivetrain appear to be solid. Again I do NOT have a title, but i’ll write you a bill of sale. You will need a trailer and a way to load it–it is currently sitting in my barn. I also have a new alternator and oil lines for it that I will include. I am NOT interested in trades”

(07/31/2012) “Asking $5000 OBO. I’ll entertain trade offers on anything of equal value. Needing a 60 gal air compressor and media blast and welding equipment (no arc stick welders).
I have a 1951 Willys M38 that is 90% road ready.
The Willys needs an oil line to the oil filter bath unit replaced (I’m planning on replacing it next weekend) and a battery to run – that’s it.
The front passenger side tire has a slow leak – I haven’t bothered to find the source yet as I’m working on it in my garage and hasn’t bothered me.
There is some painted-over rust / rot in the passenger side floorboard and the tool storage box under the passenger side seat.
The windshield is cracked but you can get a new one for less than $150.
The trailer is road ready and the tires are in great shape. I just pulled it 30+ miles with a Nissan Pathfinder and it pulled perfectly.
Some of the wood rail sections could be replaced but they are solid. I don’t have the canvas.
There is some rust but most is just scale. There are a few rust / rot spots that could use repair but nothing major and you can easily use it as it sits.
The lights look to be aftermarket replacements. They don’t work but I think it’s just the ground wire. I’ll look into it this weekend too.
This was designed for a deuce and a half truck but if you flip the pintle on the trailer you can lower the tongue height by as much as twelve inches and pull it all day with the M38.”

“Has 43000 miles most of these mile were from being towed with a to bar to eastern Oregon. this one was not over seas so very little rust. It is all stock still set up for snorkel system so you can drive under water and its still 24 volt. it been sitting for awhile may need some batteries and a little carb work but it ran great when it was parked. “1948 Willys Model CJ-2A Jeep — older (1991) restoration by Willy’s of Minneapolis, MN costing $10,000 (have receipts showing complete mechanical rebuild and repaint). I am told the Jeep originally came from a North Dakota farm. It has the original tub which is very solid with no evidence of rust or major bodywork. Cosmetically, the Jeep is ‘parade’ ready; it’s not a show vehicle. The paint shows very well and has a few chips and scratches here and there. It is very clean from top to bottom. Mechanically, this jeep is very tight and everything works as it should. It starts, runs, and drives great — like it did in 1948.
Recently, the tires, brakes, shocks and springs have been renewed all around. It was converted to 12 volt with an alternator for ease of charging. When this conversion was made, they removed the oil filter assembly. I have a new replacement assembly from Walck’s that goes with the purchase as well as owners and parts manuals. There are no leaks, but a drip or two will show up on the floor after sitting for a time. The Jeep does not come with top bows or canvas top.”

This looks in good shape. The pics show a battery missing.
“Comes with a bunch of accessories bought over the years at the Hershey swap meet and various other place. The engine has been completely rebuilt by the owner (among other things), who happens to rebuild engines for a living so you know it’s been done right. It’s been garaged for many years and has had a recent paint job, though there are some spots places where retouching might be required. It runs and can be demonstrated that it drives fine.”
