This CJ-2A just sold. The asking price was $19,999.
A variety of extras are included on this M-38. The windshield seems like it leans back a little farther than it should. I’ve never heard the term “Restored to Combat Class”.

“Has original parts, 24 volt system. Many original add-on’s that make this a unique find. Please see photos and review the video for running Jeep featuring a narrative from the owner and a full scope of all that is included with this sale.
Several of your inquiries have been to include further photos of what items are extra in my Dads large bin that comes with the Jeep. I’ve put many more photos in the ad now, several items most likely will have no interest to you, nevertheless they come with the Jeep.
I’ve personally never looked at the underside of the Jeep until I took these photos, it is not that easy to snap these upside down, but I did my best. I should tell you that it will have a few areas I know that need to be sanded, I believe on the right front passenger side on the undercarriage. The Jeep has been sitting several years without care, covered, but still without my dads care due to his illnesses, and I know he has not been able to maintain or do further work that he had planned on completing with the Jeep. But, all things considered, it’s not a shiny showpiece, however, it is one heck of a Jeep!
We’d Love to hear from you, make your best offer!”
UPDATE: Note the comments below. The engine wasn’t original to this model and the grille has the vent hole, which didn’t come out until later.
Nice looking truck that has both a winch and a rear PTO gearbox.

Here a nice looking vintage truck. This map is supposed to show where the Bonanza Lead Mill was located. The Bonanza Lead Company operated the Old Dominion lead-zine mine near Colville; I can only guess that the Bonanza Lead Mill was also operated by Bonanza.

Bill’s got this nice looking truck for sale and he provides a detailed review of what’s been done to it.
“For sale is a restored 1951 Willys Overland pickup truck which I’ve owned for the past 18 years. The truck is a four wheel drive, 1 ton model with a 3 speed transmission and 2 speed transfer case. It’s powered by the Willys ‘Hurricane’ engine and still retains its 6 volt electrical system. Everything works on the truck as it should and it drives and stops fine. It’s been garaged for the past 22 years with the last 10 years in a climate controlled garage.
It’s an older “body off frame” restoration that was started in 1998 and was approximately 90% completed in 2005 after which it was stored for 15 years. I finally completed it this past summer. Unfortunately, some of the work that I had originally completed years ago had to be redone due to the length of time that it sat. It’s only been driven approximately 19 miles since I’ve owned it. Before contacting me, please read below for ALL the details on what work was done and when it was done. And, yes, you CAN drive it home if you want.
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $20,000.
The jeep doesn’t start at the moment.
“1943 Ford GPW. This jeep was completely restored (by my Grandfather), frame off, down to every nut and bolt in the 1990s and has been in the garage ever since. converter to 12v. Has a canvas top. Has some minor blemishes and a few minor spots of rust that has occurred post resort. The jeep was last driven about 2 years ago, without any driving issues or mechanical issues. The jeep has about 25 miles in the last 7 years, zero in the last 2 years. The jeep currently doesn’t want to start (engine cranks), not sure if its just gas or other. feel free to email or text any questions and i will do my best to answer.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $11,000.

https://gulfport.craigslist.org/cto/d/diamondhead-1953-m38a1-military-jeep/7039113160.html
“This is one of last 2 of 9 military vehicles sold from my collection, It is is a M38A1 and is in fair to good condition. I describe this jeep as being partially restored. While it does have some minor rust, it would not take much effort to restore it. The body is complete and seems to be in decent shape. Add a new paint job and you will have a nice looking jeep. The jeep runs and drives very well. It starts right up and the brakes seem to also work well. The tires are dry rot and need to be replaced. It comes with a nicely done Plastic Replica 30 caliber machine gun with 4+ ‘ stand and 30 caliber cartridge box (needs to be installed on Jeep) plus what appears to be a Vietnam era flak jacket. Interested parties are encouraged to personally inspect and drive the vehicle. It does not have a title and I doubt it has ever been titled.”
Looks in good shape.
