https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/d/freeport-willys-m38-military-jeep/7507371591.html
“Up for sale is a M38 Willys military Jeep. It is a good restoration prospect! It has not run in 10+ years and will need engine, transmission, and other drive train work to get it back on the road.
A lot of the critical parts you will need are still on the Jeep. The body and fenders are very straight. Hood includes the snorkel hole plate. Only known filler is the passenger side rear corner. It will need a new floor to restore. It has all of the major electrical parts (starter, regulator, and generator). Other parts present include floor plates, correct seat frames, new glass and gasket 5 years ago, proper original and correct M38 oil bath air cleaner, crossover pipe, front shackle brackets, etc. It has 4 of the original and correct wheels. Very old tires (including Mohawk Chief and U.S. Royal) need to be replaced, although current tires do hold air.
The vehicle has no title. Dash board data plate is missing. Original MC-????? Original data plate on the passenger side wheel well shows MC-xxxx7. Can make out the MC, but not all of the numbers. These were built from 1949-1952. Guessing it is a 1952.
Included in the sale is another M38 engine and transmission (last 3 pictures). Treat as a core.
Let me know should you need to see any additional photos.
The $2500 price is FIRM…..do not ask!
Local pickup in Freeport, TX. It will need to be trailered.
Payment is cash upon pick up.
No title..”

“Willys Jeep CJ2A 1946 4×4 RUST FREE. This is the cleanest most RUST FREE Jeep I have ever seen. All original, has factory running board/ heater/ grill screen. Please look at ALL pictures to see exactly how rust free this is frame and body. Only rust spot found is under passenger floor brace – see photos. Story is truck was bought in 1946 used until 1957 then put away. Someone put a 12volt alternator on it and new tires years ago. I have brand new master cyl and 4 wheel cyl. Correct generator. New carb, new fuel pump and misc other items. Cranks over and has compression, should be easy to get running. Do not have title – I will provide bill of sale. Located in Zimmerman MN 55398”

“For sale is a complete and running Government Issue Survivor 1943 Ford GPW flat fender Jeep (same as Willys MB but manufactured by Ford to keep up with demand during the war… if you are reading this you probably already know that). Still has the original flathead four-cylinder engine and original running gear. Has new Coker / Firestone military NDT tires. Has military canvas and soft top bows. Only thing missing is the emergency brake assembly. Lots of newer odds and ends like steering box rebuild, fuel pump, drivelines rebuilt and fresh seat cushions and military OD green canvas upholstery. This particular unit was a Navy Jeep during its service lift as evidenced by the two holes above the glove box for the USN id tags. Cash or cashiers check only. Do not even think about low balling I do not need to sell it that bad.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $49,600.

Craig shared this early DJ-3A #1134. There’s a lot of stock jeep there.
“1956 Willys DJ3A “The Dispatcher” Slated as a light delivery vehicle this is the first year for this model of Willys. The production number stamped in the frame is 1134 I believe. I will confirm that. This was my dads first vehicle and has been in the family since 1961. As far as I know we were the second owner. I have the original title. It’s a project. I have almost all of the original parts. What is missing is the motor, radiator, and seats. I have three of the original hubcaps. I have two tires on it that do hold air. The floor pans are rusted out. Last time it was on the road was 1973. It does have a factory heater. If you know the DJ’s then you know it is factory 2wd. I also have the doors. This is very difficult to post as I have a long history with this vehicle. Circumstances in life change and sometimes you have to let go of dreams. Ask any questions you want. I have more pics somewhere I will add later.”

The CJ5 restoration was completed in early 2017 and brought to Nantucket 2021. It has about 600 miles since restoration. The CJ is all original except the tub. Even the color is a factory color. It has a rare 6 cylinder. Most were delivered with the standard 4 cylinder. There is a new top with side windows, but need poles. The following was added: electronic ignition. electric fuel pump and a ahooga horn. Its in mint condition.”

“For sale is my 1952 Willys M38 (military jeep). The top is a factory “Arctic Top” that was installed when new. The Jeep was originally in the military then was purchased by the forest service and they painted it forest service green. This jeep has almost no rust on it whatsoever! Floors, body, hat channels are all completely solid and rust free. Some stuff was modernized: 12v converted/solid state distributor/standard fuel pump but I have all of the original 24v waterproof distributor/plugs/wires/pump. Lots of new parts, radiator was rebuilt, new fuel tank, seats. All gauges work like they’re supposed to. The Jeep runs and drives great and I drive it regularly. It has a clean Ga title in my name”

Bill shared this Hemming’s ad for 2 CJ-2As, one with the Kubota swap. This combo is listed on Hemmings. Given the red jeep isn’t quite stock (front bumper has extra metal, it’s missing the front bow holder, there appear to be no tail lights, and the front parking lights are incorrect) and the black jeep is even less so (has even more mods), though has a new Diesel engine, the price seems a little aggressive.

“These 2 1946 Willy’s Jeep CJ-2’s are being offered as a package deal. The Red Jeep is a 2 owner vehicle, being in the seller’s family since 1953! It has been meticulously restored using all period correct parts, and only comes out for shows or parades. The Black Jeep is built for fun! Utilizing a Kubota Diesel out of a refer trailer (only 500 hours), along with a full swap kit and advice from our friends at Overland Diesel. Both are in amazing condition, and are available now! The owner would love to see them both stay together, but will entertain offers on either of them separately.More details below.”
