Mostly a garage queen its entire life, this Jeep has it’s original coat of paint, which shows extremely well. Has had all new gas shocks installed as well as new battery, rebuilt carb, (comes with a brand new carb as well), and many more maintenance items completed recently. Runs and drives great, does not leak oil and has little to no rust on the body. 4WD functions perfectly. Very well preserved example. Has original miles as well. Inspections welcome. “This is the ultimate Jeep survivor!! It has everything you may want for an outstanding Jeep CJ for any collection. The Jeep was owned by a Willis Jeep Dealer in Indianapolis. It still has the statement of origin or manufactured. It still has the dealer cost sheet. It has 12623 original miles.

It still has the original tube tires. Original paint, top (in bad condition), seats, accessories, hoses, belts, floor mats. Tho only thing that has changed is the shocks, gas cap and clutch. I have owned the Jeep for 20 years. I was going to use it, but realized how special it was and didn’t touch it except for special occasions. I have only put 20 miles on it in the last 3 years. I got it out last night to take pictures and it started right up. I Also have the Willys parts pages for the model. There is a few surface rust spots, one on the tail (pictured) and driver/passenger floor pan. This jeep really deserves a museum or display collection. I have plenty of other photos if needed.”

Chris is selling his CJ-5. Looks in good shape. It has the 0-8 speedometer, but the pointer is shaped like a wedge rather than thin and even.

“My 1956 Willys CJ5 has a great history. It was a one owner, garaged Jeep for 57 years; meticulously maintained by professionals, and was basically a “City Jeep”. The Jeep has 102k miles. It is an older restoration in time but not miles: including all running gear, body, paint, suspension, seats, and is in great condition. It runs, starts, drives, stops, looks and handles great. The Jeep has new tires and rims ($750) with only 100 miles on them .

I have receipts for the extensive work done, going back to 1963. It has the rare Kayline softtop with doors and frame, in good condition. The dash is also uncut. The miles will increase slightly, as I drive the Jeep. Records, paperwork and spare parts come with the Jeep.

“This Jeep has sat in a climate controlled warehouse, fully mothballed and covered, since about 1981. It’s an original California car, originally owned by Jess Rodman, owner of Rodman Chevrolet in Fresno, way back in the 1950’s and 60’s. The Rodman family also developed their ranch into what we now know as Sunnyside. This was his “ranch toy”, and it rarely went anywhere. When he was too sick to work, he sold the dealership to Gene Ford, who re-named it Frontier Chevrolet. This Willys Jeep came in the package. It pretty much got put away and never taken out again. It has 8,500 (eighty five HUNDRED) miles and is in unbelievably complete original condition.

Mr Ford’s estate finally decided to sell the entire Gene Ford classic car collection, including this pristine Willys. My job was to get it out of storage and totally drivable, and to keep it as completely original as possible. Three plus decades of sitting had taken their toll on the accessories. Had to replace the water pump, fuel pump, all the brake hydraulics, battery, starter (repair), Pack wheel bearings, change oil, replace plugs, flush and refill the engine oil (straight 30 weight is called for…that’s what we put in), filters, flushed the cooling system and flush and repair the fuel tank. We aired up those perfect “time capsule” bias ply tube type off road tires, fired it off, made some adjustments, and this Jeep drives absolutely as new. A video of the running Jeep is on YouTube. This may be worth a look. Appears to have a little rust on the passenger side front fender (front lip).

“Have you ever wanted dad or grandfathers old Jeep. Well folks here is one great example of one.
The jeep has less than 55,000 lightly used miles. The body is in near perfect shape, floor pans, body support brackets and the rest is rust free. The engine is a 225 Buick V6, 3 speed transmission and has the Warn overdrive. There also is a PTO winch that works nice. Paint is not to bad, a little dulled by the sun. Jeep runs and drives, every thing functions as it should less the horn. The jeep did not come with a full top. We only have a bikini top. I have several options of full tops and soft top if you wish to has one on it. I love the openness of no top. Look at the pictures close, only call if your a buyer. Tire kicker and scammer need not waist our time. Post will be deleted when jeep has sold.”
