About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Tires are almost new but I have been driving it quite a bit lately… Original windshield wipers that are exhaust fed, original front and rear seats, original plates on the dashboard As well as all the brackets on the bumpers for lifting and towing… original even down to the front tow rope. Too many extra list!
Mechanically this jeep is amazing! The brakes have been re-done recently you can see it in the photos… This jeep goes maximum speed of 50 miles an hour most of these jeeps only go 30 to 35… It’s reliable starts every time even when it hasn’t been driven for weeks! “M38 military Jeep, same owner 19 years, it had a full mechanical restoration 12 years ago, I have the old parts that were swapped out. It has been sitting 7 years. It will be pretty easy to get it going again. It has a very sold body and frame, pretty amazing actually. It was converted to a 12v system”
“1951 willys m38 24v Korean War era Jeep. Jeep is complete and needs a full tune up-batteries to get going again. It has sat in my garage the past 1.5 years in hopes of working on it. I have not touched it due to work. It has the original drivetrain and body hardware you would hope to find. It has the original Jerry can, spare tire, Canvas top with removable side panels and doors, canvas is in nice original condition on both front and rear seats as well as top.
Newer harness-comes with brand new one and parts. Motor turns freely by hand almost zero if any leaks. The Jeep Ran in 2018 as the previous owner got a tail light ticket. It was his fathers civil defense Jeep and it was painted as such. It has vinyl decals that can be removed. The only body work I’ve found has been a small metal plate in the tool box, passenger floor and axe indent have had some work. Great start for some one to drive or restore. If I get it running 11,000 make offer as if your interested”
“Fully restored MC M38 Korean War era military Jeep and 1952 D-K M100 US Army trailer. 12 volt 4 wd. Has been garaged and not been started or driven since my late husband passed. Serious buyers only, not desperate to sell. Looking for someone who loves and appreciates these older treasures as much as we do and can provide the care needed to own this type of vehicle. Two tops included along with side curtains not shown, and extras.”
A variety of extras are included on this M-38. The windshield seems like it leans back a little farther than it should. I’ve never heard the term “Restored to Combat Class”.
“Has original parts, 24 volt system. Many original add-on’s that make this a unique find. Please see photos and review the video for running Jeep featuring a narrative from the owner and a full scope of all that is included with this sale.
Several of your inquiries have been to include further photos of what items are extra in my Dads large bin that comes with the Jeep. I’ve put many more photos in the ad now, several items most likely will have no interest to you, nevertheless they come with the Jeep.
I’ve personally never looked at the underside of the Jeep until I took these photos, it is not that easy to snap these upside down, but I did my best. I should tell you that it will have a few areas I know that need to be sanded, I believe on the right front passenger side on the undercarriage. The Jeep has been sitting several years without care, covered, but still without my dads care due to his illnesses, and I know he has not been able to maintain or do further work that he had planned on completing with the Jeep. But, all things considered, it’s not a shiny showpiece, however, it is one heck of a Jeep!
We’d Love to hear from you, make your best offer!”
Looks like a great price, maybe too good of a price. Something doesn’t seem right about this ad. Who advertises a mint M-38 by describing it with a “front tow package”? And, I’m not seeing an obvious tow package. This might be a scam ….
“1952 willys M38 jeep. Was a civil defense vehicle. Rust free. 12 volt conversion nicely done little damage to original wiring. 26000 miles. Mc 134 motor, completely rebuilt tranny, transfer case , steering box and brakes. Plus more. Every thing works. Call for more information
Also have the original 16 inch military rims painted white like pintle. This is a solid jeep great daily driver, or easy candidate for restoring to original”
“1951 Willys M-38, everything gone thru, no rust anywhere, new paint, decals, 2 new front tires, gauges, brakes, exhaust, everything works. only reason i’m selling is I found slightly newer Jeep similar to one i drove in Army, don’t have room for two.”
“1950 Willys M38 military jeep. These jeeps were used during the Korean war era. Near perfect condition. Original 134L engine. No bondo. All metal. Four wheel drive works”
