UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Here’s some good details about the rare DJ-6. Seller appears to be parting out similar specs that probably came from the same booklet.

Was the half top DJ top unique to it, or was it a standard half top.
“Original non color sales sheet , 8.5 x 11 , printed both sides”
I thought I’d posted this years ago, but discovered I hadn’t. This brochure highlights the 12.5 KVA and the 3.75 KVA mobile generator units available around 1948.
This ad appeared on page 3 of the Daily News out of Middlesboro, Kentucky, on April 20, 1942 and the Wilmington Morning Star on April 21, 1942.
It might be an older clock with Willys Jeep printed on it, but does anyone know if there is real history related to this?

Au plaisir en Francais!”
Another ‘the jeep can do it all’ ad. This one was published on June 1, 1949, in Utah’s Deseret News.
UPDATE: This was likely published in 1959, 1960, or 1961. I can’t make out the form number to verify. This was sold on eBay in 2015.
Plus the brochure the seller will include a Scheneker Plow Ad.

This Milwaukee Sentinel ad from May 25, 1947, filled an entire page. Part of the ‘Jeep is a Working Girl’ ad campaign Willys Overland published different versions of the ad in magazines as well. This ad also promoted a 1947 Jeep Caravan tour that included demonstrations of eleven pieces of equipment.
This has some good Mitsubishi info on it.

Well here’s an unusual Willys Overland item.
“Original souvenir from Willys Cleveland’s First Annual Family Night Toledo Mud Hens Baseball game on August 3, 1951 at Swayne Field in Toledo, Ohio

An ad printed in the December 29, 1957, issue of the Toledo Blade highlighted the number of factories and sub-assembly plants Kaiser Willys had all over the world. They also had dealerships serving 134 countries.
I spotted this great old Jeep Club plaque from the Chuckwalla Jeep Club on Craigslist. The club still exists and has a Facebook page.

A poster of a penguin driving a Bantam BRC-60 sponsored by Kool Cigarettes. It is 20″ wide by 30″ tall.
“Up for sale is this Super Rare estate fresh WWII era Kool Cigarettes advertising sign / poster featuring Kool’s Willie the Penguin in WWII attire driving a military jeep with a Kool Cigarette Machine Gun on the hood and shells exploding in the background. The poster reads ‘KOOLS The Pack To Take Wherever You Go!’ The bottom of the poster reads ‘Save B&W Coupons for US War Stamps’. The poster measures 30 inches tall by 20 inches wide. The poster is in good condition for its age and has great color although there is a good deal of wear and creases around the edges and holes where the poster had been hung (Please See Photos). These issues don’t take away from this great WWII advertising image and this would make a great addition to any WWII, Advertising, or Tobacco collection.”
With Mrs. Maude Smith around, there was no call for Mr. Smith to learn to drive. Funny article published in the May 1956 issue of Willys News.
This article from the June 1955 issue of Willys News shares the brief story of Frank Tolbert’s 5,000 mile trip around the state of Texas. Accompanying Frank were Frank, Jr., and a CJ-5 then named Lola.
I have found a series of articles published over successive weeks in the Dallas Morning News about their trip. However, I have to sign up and pay a fee to use it. Anyone have free access? I would like to see what the article say before having to buy anything.

This article from the May 1955 issue of Willys News discusses the ‘new’ Jeep Vehicles and Equipment Cut Costs and Get More Work Done brochure. I’ve included some screen shots from the actual brochure.
This is a circa 1949 delivery panel wagon brochure marked PDCM1-3CM-949 that highlights the advantages of a Willys Panel Delivery Jeep. It’s a brochure that could act as a mailing brochure as well. What makes the brochure’s design a little unusual is that the first ‘fold’ is vertical, rather than horizontal, making it 17″ by 5.5″ when first unfolded.
If folded, this was the 8.5″ by 5.5″ front page:
When unfolded, this makes a 17″ x 5.5″ graphic:
If unfolded all the way, this 17″ x 11″ complete foldout:
A service station merchandising contest in 1955 was sponsored by the B.F. Goodrich company. Six cream, blue and red CJ-5s were given away as prizes. The article was published in the May 1955 issue of Willys News.
This February 1961 mailing brochure marked Form No. DM61-02 highlights the advantages of a jeep. This particular brochure has some wear and a stain, so isn’t an ideal example.
If folded, this was the 8.5″ by 5.5″ front page:
The 8.5″ x 11″ interior: If unfolded all the way, this 17″ x 11″ complete foldout:
There were several articles that made the June 1955 issue of Willys News worth purchasing, even if the price was higher than I wanted. Case in point is the gravity dump box idea below. Perhaps someone can recreate this rare mod?
