“Mostly restored but some work still needed on steering (I have parts) and the brakes need some attention. I bought this a couple of years ago with the intent of completing restoration. I immediately developed some serious health issues, which is the reason for the sale. Would like to get somewhere around the $8500 I paid for it. I’m open to reasonable offers. This jeep runs like a new one and is drivable as it is. Included is a half top with doors from Beachwood Canvas. Everything works (yes, even the lights and gauges!) (04/17/2010) It’s a nicely maintained old Jeep.  The underneath of the body looks great!

“This Vehicle was owned by an older Gentleman for the last 24 years, It looks to be meticulously well maintained and cosmetically redone on the body . The paint appears to be new at some time before i got it , I waxed it and it was the first time anyone had ever waxed it, not that it was neglected I think he just did not get too it before he passed away. This jeep was always stored in a garage and covered before I bought it. Also the interior seats were recovered in a tan vynle , note I did see one small 1/4 inch tear repair on drivers seat looks like a good repair, also the rollbar is upgraded to around 3″ version with a new black bikini  half top, The electrical system was also converted 12 volt with a one wire alternator , with new taillights and marker reflectors . Front bumper looks new with a new brush guard with accessories running lights and brackets for the tow bar that bolts to it, also new headlights with chrome rings and screen guards also stainless grill screen guard. All the gauges fuel  temp amps and oil are new ,original speedo The original wipers are not hooked up or on . I was told they weren’t working but go with vehicle. New Goodyear Wrangler tires and white spoke rims .The body by my inspection does not appear to have any rust or ever had any rust repairs that I can see from inspecting from looking underneath the body. This Willys starts and runs excellant runs real quiet cruises nice at 55 -60 mph  also has a tachometer. Has all dash 4×4 stickers and plates . The motor runs strong and does not emit any smoke upon starting or driving. The trans  is very tight and does not grind or howl when shifting or driving.  overall This jeep to Me seem real nice driver.       The brake system has also been upgrade with a power booster assist witch is mounted on the drivers inner fender in engine bay. and seatbelts were installed front and rear.”

The seller explains why this was painted pink.  Looking past the pink color and it appears this CJ-2A is in excellent condition.

“1947 Willys CJ 2A – two tone hot pink. This flat fender Army Jeep runs great and is lots of fun. It has been kept in a garage or under shelter for the last 8 years. It has been converted from the original 6 volt system to 12 volts and has new breaks on it. It is an eye catching head turning vehicle they people go crazy over taking pictures of it with their cell phones and cirling back to get another look at it. It was painted hot pink by the previous owner in KC who modeled it after Elvis’ jeep he saw at Graceland. The exact milage is unknown.”

“1946 Jeep Willys CJ-2A, all original and completely mechanically restored! This car is very collectible, but still a very capable Jeep to drive.  I have owned this Jeep for 25 years, and spent over $5k restoring original engine and mechanical system less than 50 miles ago. Jeep features all original major components, and starts and runs with ease. Jeep has been garaged at least since I’ve owned it, and has virtually no rust. Jeep is in excellent mechanical condition, and good/fair cosmetic condition.

Here’s a nice looking, stock CJ-2A up the road from me.

“this is a red jeep willys. has all stock except the front fold down windshield. The wheels are not stock either. has a new heavy duty exaughst system on it. Its the 4 cyl motor. 3 speed manual tranny. all it needs is a starter replaced I think. I put a new selonoid on it but still clicks. The 6 volt system was converted to 12 volt. It is nice jeep I just dont ever use it anymore and it is sitting in my yard. (Im to tall for it also) so anyways Im asking 3300 OBO. It also has a Vinal top with the doors. oh its a 1947 too… the 2nd year it was out to the public. sorry I dont have any of the farm attachments for it or the PTO. also have a tow bar that comes with it if you want it”

It’s not a perfect restoration, but looks nice.

New body, frame, suspension, all lines and gaskets, rebuilt engine and tranny, new carb, battery, seat frames and upholstery, all electriclas are new and updated, most nuts and bolts are stainless steel, new gas tank and sender, all brackets and straps are new, new windshield and glass, new horn and button, new brakes, brackets and switches. The engine has been fired, but not broken in yet. This is a brand new restoration never taken out of the garage! Please, very serious inquiries only.
