This runs. It looks like a good wind would blow the paint right off of this.
“This is a nice little Flat Fender CJ. Someone went through the running gear a few years ago and it was on the road. It runs good, just put a new battery and fuel pump in it. Brakes are good and I think it will pass inspection as is. The body need some patches. The Plow Hoist in the photo does not come with it.”
In 1965, this jeep was donated by the Hubbards Fire Department to a sub-department volunteer fire unit call the Blandford & Area Fire Rescue Unit, located on the southwest side of the Aspotogan Peninsula, Luenburg Co, Nova Scotia, Canada, at 30 Fire Hall Rd. I wish there were more pics!
From the website, “The first fire truck was a 1956 Willys Jeep, donated by the Hubbards Fire Department. Due to its limited water tank capacity of 200 gallons, a water tanker was also needed. A 1947 Ford with an oil tank was added to the fleet before year end, this also being donated from the Hubbards department. Records show that a new portable pump was purchased for $600.95 with monies raised by door to door canvassing, raffles, and bake sales. Additional equipment was purchased to outfit the new department and to make modifications to the old school house building to house the “new” trucks. With the support of a community, the men of the department answered a total of eight alarms their first year, all of which were fires.”

“PRICE REDUCED $2500 1953 Willy’s CJ3B “High Hood” Consider trade for a enclosed trailer w/ clean appearance, tandem axle w/ side door, 7×14 Fun Jeep to drive and regret that I have to sell it. First year of the 3B! This Jeep is a small project that needs a engine and seats. The 283 is removed(it could be included but in need of repair or replacement to a similar chevrolet engine) It also needs the old seat frames recovered or replaced (through the Kaiser catalog) and a section of exhaust pipe between the rams head exhaust to muffler exchanged(from a muffler shop) The hood, grill and tailgate are repainted. I replaced the shocks and included is a new powdercoated gas tank(It is not installed) It has some original parts such as the stock vacum operated windsheild wiper motor, offset axles, transmission, transfer case and a extremely rare power take off for farming implements on the rear of the Jeep. Also the front tow bar is refabed for a 2″ ball. Handles flat tow very nicely. The soft top is in good shape with the rear section needing to be replaced(likely from a boat shop) Additional parts included are the front and rear entire axle assembly including tie rods, transmission, transfer case, and partially completed half doors. Jeep sits on 28″ wild country radials w/ aluminum rims. With a little bit of work, this could be a whole lotta fun. Great chance for someone to own a rare PTO Willys CJ3B that is a unique conversation peice. Oregon title”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5750

Only one pic, but this looks good.

(06/30/2010) There’s been some body work done to this jeep. For example, it appears there is diamond plating around the gas inlet.

“This is a 1959 Willys CJ3B. I don’t know the history it was a trade for some work. The jeep belongs to a friend of mine this is all he knows about this vehicle. The previous owner purchased the jeep in 1968 and had the body work done and the engine rebuilt at some time. The jeep runs fine and everything works! 4 wheel drive hi and low. I have not checked out the wench to see if it works but will check it out and update you as to my findings. The jeep is located in Hollister CA and needs to be picked up or driven home from here.”
This was stored in a garage for several decades.
“1963 CJ3B Willys Jeep. This is a 2 owner jeep. It was stored in a garage from 1983 until 6 months ago. It has had a face lift and full tune up and now runs and looks great. 35,000 original miles. The jeep was painted in gloss army desert tan and has carthart custom seats. The top and doors are like new and is ready for any parade, or just plain summer fun. This looks pretty nice.
“Engine is 1967 Buick 225 ci V6, Seats reupholstered, new fuel tank, rebuilt suspension, like-new bikini top”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3999.
The mileage seems a bit low. Also, this VIN doesn’t seem correct.
“Mileage: 8,600 – Body Style: SUV – Exterior Color: Green – Interior Color: Black – VIN: 4J34149 – Engine: 4 Cylinders – Transmission: Manual – Drivetrain: 4WD – Doors: 2
Selling Points: Great truck to drive to the local ice house!Driven very little last 8 years. In last 4-5 years major portions of the vehicle rebuilt or replaced:-Electrical system reworked-Brake system rebuilt/replaced-Fuel pump, fuel tank, fuel lines replaced. (Now has electric fuel pump). No A/C, but the windsheild can be lowered on those hot Texas days. This has been a great vehicle, but I drive it very little and it should be in a home where it is used.
Condition: It runs better now than it has in years due to the major fuel system and brake system work that has been done. However, the paint is faded and peeling. The tires will need to be replaced soon.”
This looks very good.
“231 Buick V6, rebuilt tranny, rearend, front axels, headers to much to list, runs strong and have all documents.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
HOG spotted this one. I looked back in my posts for this CJ-3B, but it doesn’t appear to be there. I’m sure it’s all good, but just in case … the seller buys the jeep for the dad from cali and now is selling for the mom, except the title was never transferred from cali, so wouldn’t the seller actually be selling it for himself as the signer on the old title? Finally, the serial number of #4J37357 is incorrect, so I’d investigate that as well.
“I bought this Jeep for my Dad back in March 2010…He has since past away and I have no need of another Jeep, So I am selling this for my Mom. It is a 1954 Willys CJ3B that has had some modifications done to it over the years…. There is nothing wrong with the jeep it runs and drives fine…..Someone has taken chrome diamond plate and made a dash for it with all the gagues and added a Tachometer……It has a Tow bar and high lift jack that come with it……..If you are going to drive it on the highway the tires will need to be balanced and at some point it will need tires…The motor is a 260 Ford V8 with dual exhaust and starts and runs great…..Brakes all work good…..Transmission and overdrive shift fine…..All gauges work…Has a complete soft top with doors and a roll bar…… Seats are not torn but do not match in color…..The front end and steering box are out of a later mdel Jeep and all the 4 wheel drive works fine….It has two gas tanks, but only one is hooked up….There is no rust on the Jeep the floors panels are solid and rust free has a few minor digs in the hood and body, but nothig major……Tail gate has been replaced with solid panel…..Someone has added leafs to the spring and a set of Air shocks in the rear……I have a low reserve on this Jeep in order to sell quickly,it’s worth much more than the reserve price….It has a clear transferable California title………Ask questions before bidding…Sold as is…I can store for 6 months with payment made in full…. If you are serious about it I can e-mail more pictures.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.

(11/09/09) This is Non Running at the moment. Otherwise, this jeep looks pretty solid. Note that it has the Hudson Steering Modification. The old top looks good.
“A very clean 1957 Jeep CJ-3B. It stopped running in 1976 and was garage kept from 1977 until about 2005. Currently it is stored under a quality, breathable car cover in a relatively dry climate. It is in the same condition as it was when it came out of storage in 2005. As it sits it has a non-running Buick 198 V6, T90 transmission and Dana 18 transfer case with a Warn overdrive. It also has a PTO winch, factory Jeep Whitco soft top, 11″ brakes and Hudson steering. My intent was to try to restore it to it’s condition as it was in the ’70s with a few upgrades. The new, uninstalled parts included with the Jeep are a Buick 225 V6 (it still needs balance and assembly), Performance Distributor HEI, Advance Adapters motor mounts. Superlift/Black Diamond suspension, 5 BF Goodrich mud terrain KOs on 16″ white spoke wheels. A new factory hood and windshield frame (the AMC dealer labels are still on them!) It also has 7 Norseman Armstrong tires, they are in very good condition and have collectible value. Serious inquiries only. Will not separate any parts. Please call Jason at 720.940.3620. Thanks!”
