Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This creative trailer looks to be the rears of two early CJ-5 tubs welder together, both with tailgates at both the front and back, capped with a Koenig hardtop, plus some additional customization. Looks like it does the job.

This includes a working set of Thor Electronic Hubs (and the first pic I’ve seen of the switch to engage the hubs). These are the “Lectro-Matic” version of the hubs (there was also an automatic version). Dan documented a set of the “Lectro-Matric” hubs here.

“Anyone looking for the coolest 62 Jeep CJ5 on the planet. I got this handsome little guy up for sale. It’s beyond amazing! Everything works, every light, all gauges, the chrome winch ect…oh and there’s chrome all over the place. Original paint, Original interior.. both are in incredible condition. It’s a very unique Jeep and it’s running a Corvette engine that was installed by the original owner in the mid sixties.He was a aircraft mechanic so everything is perfect .It also has very rare Thor electronic locking front hub set . No rust anywhere and super straight. I have the those crazy off road wide white wall tires in the pics and the hubcaps. I just threw on a new set of Power King black walls to drive it around. The Jeep runs amazing! It’s got really good power and not geared that low. I have not taken it on the freeway but got it up to 60mph with no issues. This is a very special Jeep with history. This jeep has a couple neat features. It’s got an interesting spare tire/back bumper set up and it’s still has the Cutlas operation sticker within the glove box (alas, the cutlas hubs aren’t on it anymore).

“This Jeep is the cleanest unrestored 1957 around. No cancer!!! !! Original paint. Has dealer option hard top and doors that have NEVER been removed. Jeep was ordered with a snow plow but plow has since been lost.
Original 1/3 2/3 front seat. Factory “ Willys all range “ overdrive. with original 3 speed trans. This Jeep never came with a roll bar or a rear seat. Rear cargo area is extremely clean. Original owner had a 351 Windsor installed in 1974.
When he passed away 5 years ago, the Jeep was left to his best friend who had the engine rebuilt, balanced and blue printed by a local hot rod shop. The jeep was driven approximately 500 miles since the rebuild. Just replaced the fuel line and filter as well as the the cap, rotor, points etc.. Tires are 32×11.50 BFG all terrains with at least 90% tread on 15×10 wheels.
Maybe some value here.

“Original condition Willys Jeep CJ-5 showing 71k miles on the odometer. F-head 134 Hurricane 4-cylinder engine runs smooth and sweet. Three speed manual transmission, two speed transfer case, coupled to a Warn overdrive gear unit and a newer clutch. (have video of engine idling)
The jeep drives, shifts, and brakes normal. The overdrive unit, when engaged, reduces engine RPM and allows for a more road friendly vehicle. Look up Warn overdrive to get an idea of its value. (have video of driving through gears)

“2 Willys Jeeps. One 1966 (Estimate no title) and One 1963 with Title. The red one is in poor condition but runs and drives. No brakes but parking brake does work. Plow does work but it’s manual angle. The front leaf springs are both broken. The white Jeep has an engine but is locked up. It has oil in the engine and I did put ATF in the cylinders but that’s as far as I got. It is also missing the radiator and heater core along with the starter and generator. I guess someone stole them for scrap before I bought it. I bought this one from an auction. I found the last PA registration in the glove box. Body is in great shape compared to the red one. I was going to build one good Jeep from the 2. Will not sell Jeeps separate. The title to the red one has to be changed before it leaves the property. $2500.00
I have had a lot of emails about selling the Jeep separate or selling Parts off of the Jeeps. The Jeeps will not be sold separately. There will be no parts sold off of either Jeep. They either go together or they will stay here and hang out.”
