Year? FC-150 Youngsville, NC … relisted

• CATEGORIES: FC150-FC170-M677 This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: Now listed here: http://www.ewillys.com/2021/05/31/year-fc-150-youngsville-nc-4000/

Chris stopped to see this FC (equipped with a rear PTO and gearbox) and provided the following review:

“I looked at this today (12/27/19):
– The floors are rotting through.
– The drawbar is welded on.
– Some exterior parts are missing from the cab.
– Strangely has FC170 nameplates on the cab corners but it is definitely a wide-track FC150 with the F-134.
– Lots of body repairs with riveted panels
– No title, no governor, no bed, no other parts except what you see.
– The PTO was obviously added later as the shifter is outside the cab.
– The transfer case shift levers are all missing (mount is still there).
-Gentleman selling says it has not ran in probably 10 years but that he used to use it to mow a field.”

“This is a Forward Control Jeep turned into a tractor. It has beefed up springs, a rear Power Take-Off with an agri splined shaft, and an electric fan to enhance cooling at slow speeds. Has not run in years, tires are shot. Would make a great enclosed cab mower, or could be fitted with a backhoe.”

Barrett-Jackson Jeeps at Scottsdale 2020

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A, FC150-FC170-M677, FJ, Jeepster, Wood bodies This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

Several Jeeps are being auctions at this year’s Barrett-Jackson event in Scottsdale. The first few have yet to be auctioned, but some of the latter listed have already been auctioned. The CJ-2A’s price was particularly obscene.

1.  1957 FC-170
1957 Jeep FC150 4X4 with a 134.2ci 4-cylinder Hurricane engine and a 3-speed manual transmission. It features a deluxe interior, USB port and a power plug. This Jeep received a frame-off restoration.
1957-fc150-bj-az

2. 1957 Custom FC-170
Lot #1559.1 – This is a 1957 Jeep Willys that has received many modifications. A modern Chevrolet V6 engine with a 3-speed automatic transmission and conventional differential converts this former off-road vehicle to a highway cruiser. The FC stands for Forward Control. It was produced by Willys Motors, later named Kaiser Jeep from 1956-65. A very neat custom interior finishes off a great truck. It includes a former M101 military-style trailer. It features chrome gas cans and its own parking brake. Both truck and trailer are painted in Mercedes-Benz Andorite Gray.

4. 1960 Truck:
This 1960 Willys Custom 4×4 pickup underwent a frame-off restoration documented with photos. It’s powered by a 350ci V8 engine backed by a Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. This custom pickup features front disc brakes, power steering, Scout front axle, 3/4 ton rear end and Rough Country suspension. This solid California Willys pickup was completely stripped down and disassembled for paint. Its exterior was professionally painted in Viper Red paint, while the pickup bed and underside of the body were given a red-tint LizardSkin coating. The exterior features Smittybilt front and rear bumpers, custom Fuel Wheels and brand-new Renegade all-terrain tires.

“1957 Willys Jeep FC-150. If you want to blend in and not have your picture taken as you drive by, move along, nothing to see here. Truck runs well although out of inspection but should pass. Coolest car on island? Perhaps. 4wd with Warn locking hubs. Original hurricane 4, Dana 25 and Dana 44 axles, this will do 43mph and will infuriate the swells in Range Rovers on Milestone, not to mention the insane Wave “drivers” doing 65 around curves. Note the engine access in the cabin…you can adjust your carburetor while driving (and I frequently do). Truck restored 9 years ago, good for a freshening up. A driver….ready for the weekly dump runs or to get huge attention for your business. Award winner at the Daffodil Parade. Rare vehicle in driving condition. $7500 takes it. Have clear MA title”

“I have a Jeep FC150 that’s mostly in pieces that I’m interested in selling. I bought it as a roller and started stripping it down last fall. I would say the truck is about 75% complete. I have a title and vin plate for the cab that’s pretty beat up but still readable. I have the original t90 and Dana 18, and planned to put a 4.3 in it. The bed that came with the truck was for a 170 I believe. Frame was chemically stripped. I have all the glass but the windshield has a crack in it. I’d like $1500 obo for the fc and would be willing to negotiate a deal to”

“You don’t see these vehicles come up for sale very often. I have had this for several years and planed on doing a full build on it for a show vehicle but time has not allowed. So now it time to let someone else have some fun with it. Its a 1961 Willis Jeep FC170. It has 40k original miles on it and from what I can gather by all the receipts and books that came with it, it was restored somewhere back in the 90’s and everything was replaced or repaired.

Since then I don’t think it has been driven much. It has a Dauntless V6 with a 4bbl and what looks like a TH400 auto transmission. We installed a new carb, upgraded the points to electronic, plugs – wires and fluids. She runs good and actually drive really good for a old vehicle. The interior looks to be mostly original and all the original parts are still there and working.

From what I can tell all of the lights, horn and gauges still work. We installed new LED lights in the bed. It has some sort of light flasher box under the dash that I never messed with. Windshield wipers still work. It has a really nice fabricated flat bed with side storage and a side mounted fuel tank. We did find some rust in the tank so we drained it and planned on having a liner put in it. Currently we have been running it on a external tank so we can be sure rust doesn’t get into the carb. Im pretty sure it has Dana 44 axles.

All the drive train looks to be in great shape. Im not sure what transfercase it has but it works as designed and the 4wd shifter looks original. The windows roll up and down with all the original handles. The 1/4 glass and back glass are in good shape. The windshield has a crack in it. You can find replacement windshields but the 1/4 and rear glass are hard to find. All of the original emblems are still there and in good shape.

Frame is in excellent shape with no rust. There are a few things that need repaired. As you can see in the pic the front lower rocker panels in front of the doors have some rust. I cut out the drivers side and it looks like the rust is only in that general area and there is good metal around it making a easy fix. There is surface rust along the bottom of the doors, this looks like it mainly just paint peeling and surface rust. the doors themselves seem really good.

At one point in time it looks like a tree limb came down n the roof, there are dents in the roof that will need repaired. The roof itself is very solid and was built out of some good thick steel back in the day. Honestly this will make someone an excellent project. Overall this thing is very solid and a very good starting point for a build. A restored FC is worth a lot of money and you just don’t see many of them left.”
