Mark just listed this over at war jeeps.com
“1942 WW2 Jeep. It is Model GPW built by Ford and identical in every way to the Willys Model MB. Both Ford and Willys shared the WW2 production of 500,000 Jeeps almost equally. Ford had a policy of identifying virtually all of their parts including Bolts with the Ford script \”F\”. Because of this, a complete and original GPW will usually sell for a higher price than the comparable Willys. My GPW is serial number 10,100. Simply stated this is a very early WW2 Jeep and the 10,100th Jeep produced of a total Ford production of approximately 250,000 Jeeps. It was completed on March 25, 1942. The date is engraved on the original Ford data plate on the Glove box door. The body, floors and all metal are in excellent condition. There is no rust. The Jeep has been garaged since I\’ve owned it. Have Top/bows. The engine is original and is engraved GPW 10,100 on the block. The Frame is also engraved GPW 10,100. The Jeep cranks and starts like it should. It is a good driver as well. The Jeep has a gun mount for a 30 cal Browning MG. I have the Browning MG which is made from a Browning parts kit. It is correct in appearance, size and weight. The guts of the MG have been modified so the MG will not fire. The MG is not a Live gun. It is for display and is being sold separately for $1500″

“This is 1944 Jeep from World War II made by Ford. It has the original T84 transmission, transfer case, steering, radiator and axles. Windshield inner and outer frame is present. it’s a project that needs restoration. Transmission case was taken down and inspected but is usable and needs a rebuild. Seats are not original to the jeep. Front frame horns will need repair. Have an extra tub for parts. This jeep looks good in pictures but lots of bondo was used by someone. Lots of small misc parts will go with this to include canvas for seats, repro bumper, repro hat channels, fuel tank sump, and many small misc parts. Frame serial number confirmed is 198348. Data plates are missing. This vehicle has a title. This was a parts jeep that is why so many items are missing. No original wheels, engine, gauges seats or underhood items are left. I’m open to reasonable offers. If this add is up then its available.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.

“WWII Jeep
Did run when we parked it.
Looks mostly original.
This is definitely for enthusiasts. If you don’t know anything about these you probably don’t want it.
The longer this ad is up the more information I keep receiving from people educating me on what I have. It’s worth much more than $1500. But since that’s the price I decided on I’m not going to change it. However I have decided that the $1500 is a firm price. I hope someone with the money and time to restore it buys it. Would love to see it go to a good home. Cheers.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000

(12/15/2014) Someone can use these parts.
“This is a 1942 Ford Jeep GPW general purpose Willys. The serial number on fire wall indicates that the year of manufacture was June 1942. This is the complete body except grill and handles. Obviously there is no drive train as shown in the pictures. The rims are aftermarket. These are parts left over from a restoration.
I wanted to get 250 for the hood, 40 each for each fender, for the tub I wanted 400, the windshield I want 100. For the four rims and tires I want 40 bucks. This of course is a project, and you should look at the pictures carefully. This is a cash deal no deliveries. If the ad is up then the item is still for sale. Put the numbers “123” in the reply subject line to let me know you are not a spammer. Thanks”
It’s got MB tool box covers, but looks like it has a GPW front cross member.
“Restored 1942 willys MB.”
UPDATE: **STATUS UNKNOWN** Was $18,999
“For sale is an all original, non-restored, 1942 Ford GPW in very good working condition. This vehicle has had minor updates and maintenance performed to ensure drivability and proper functionality. As an added bonus, this vehicle comes with the original radio which has had the crystal set replaced and is now in working order. Also includes the original weapon mounting post. “I have for sale an original American WW2 icon. Both Willys and Ford built the same vehicle with totally interchangeable parts from 1942 to 1945. I have been putting together this project for a number of years and have come to the conclusion that someone else needs to finish it.I have collected quite a few items (such as correct tools, military paraphernalia and extra parts) that would complement a project such as this.”
UPDATE:**SOLD** Was $24,000

Oscar is selling his good looking, restored early GPW.
“Up for sale is a unique WWII jeep. A numbers-matching-original 1942 Ford GPW Script. It has been painstakingly restored using an excellent, rust-free original body, the original Willys style (Midland) frame and completely rebuilt factory correct Ford engine and drive train. This jeep is tight and drives like new. Everything has been restored mostly with original or NOS (new old stock) F-marked parts.
No title. Motor runs. Tailgate cut.
“1942 GPW JEEP — Project Jeep, motor cranked and runs – trans and clutch need work – no title, can be gotten as rebuilt vehicle through SCHD. Serial Number indicated 1942 on frt frame rail. “This is 1942 GPW world war 2 jeep. It has been painted and worked on so it is not completely original.
It runs good and has great interior on the front and back seats.

“1943 Ford WWII GPW Jeep
Frame Number: GPW 125688
Engine Number: GPW 12309
This GPW runs, drives and stops. And has many “F” marked parts on it. It is using a Willys head on the GPW block. You do not find a matching number frame and block like this jeep. Has lock out hubs on the front axle for smother driving.”
Only one pics. Sounds like one is a slat MB.
“Barn finds! Rare U.S. army military jeeps

the other is missing the tub. ran very well 10 yrs ago. Nice project to start with.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
“his jeep was used in the film industry. It would be good for a restoration. I had put a new gas tank, rebuilt carb and rebuilt starter and new battery. The electrical has been converted to 12 volts. It also has a Stainless steel role bar with lights. It needs a ring gear for fly wheel. I have the part. I have all the parts that are NOT seen in picture. I am disabled and cannot finish. Done all I can. This jeep deserves a full restore. It has a PTO winch in the back. Needs paint and small amount of body work (hood and driver fender). All original parts also some extra parts that come with it.”
