“I have a project for sale. it is a korean war jeep M38A1.
It comes with a 4 cylinder engine non flat head. I swapped the axles from a ’77 cj5. Amc 20 and Dana 30, to make them work I adapted a T20 TC on the T90 Transmission which was rebuilt just like the front end. new brakes all around as well as new brake hoses and lines, new gas tank. Need work hence I called it a project. It drives but need tuning. it is registered but as non op since I don’t drive it.
EDIT: THIS JEEP IS A 59 YEARS OLD VEHICLE AND IT NEEDS WORK BEFORE DRIVING IT PROPERLY. THE ENGINE IS A F4 134 INLINE 4. THAT SAID THIS JEEP IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THE FREEWAY. IT WILL DRIVE SAFELY AT 45 MPH. YOU’D NEED TO BRING A TRAILER. THANKS FOR READING.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.
(01/24/2018) Could be worth a look.

(12/01/2017) “This is an original Air Force Jeep used to shuttle crew to and from flight lines. Also used for taxi-ing incoming and outgoing planes.
This vehicle still has the original 24 volt system, black out lights all work, Original canvas seats. Original engine, transmission and transfer case work just fine. New brakes all around, new tires, rebuilt carburetor. This is not a restored vehicle, this is “as found”. The side windows are roll up crank and work fine. The numbers painted on the door match the numbers on the dash data plate which also match the number on the chassis data plate. Only issue still remaining is it needs a good alignment. Have clean title but is not yet licensed.”
No pics provided.

“55′ Willys for sale. It’s the much rarer military version (M38A1) not the CJ-5!
Doesn’t run, but most of the original engine parts are with it, it’s definitely a project car.
Been sitting in the garage for 20 years, waiting for someone to take it on a new adventure!
Asking $3,000 or best offer”

UPDATE: Thanks to Bill for correcting me.
There is some value here given the Meyer hardtop, but not clear how much.
“Pre 59 willys m38a1. Im assuming this is military or dod use jeep as it has the place for a shovel under the hood a 4in fuel filler and the compartment on the cowl section does open. What i do know is it has the dana 18 twin stick tcase which is worth a good bit by itself. Also has a t90 3speed, dana 25 front axel with dana 44 rear. Also has a hurricane f head engine that turns over by hand. Lots of new parts inside the truck. Engine and tcase were built in 77. I dont see this taking alot to be running and going again. Located in eclectic price is negotiable in person.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $15,000.
This one was just posted at warjeeps.com. Not sure why it is listed a 1951, when it is either a 1952 or early 1953.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,000.
It’s not listed as a specific model in the ad, but perhaps it is an M-606A2? The rear passenger side filler is something that wasn’t originally listed on the documentation.
“you are about to view a fully restored 1975 Army Jeep 4WD that is sure to take a trophy in every show entered. It has the optional 6 cylinder and overdrive trans making it a joy to drive highway speeds 70 MPH with ease. It has free wheeling locking hubs for long distance travel. This Jeep is very reliable and runs like a dream. It has the heavy duty dana axles and an awesome parade siren. The 4WD works perfectly. This Army Jeep is the hit of every parade runs cool never overheats on parade duty and gets standing ovations when passing by. It has a clear Title and is ready to go to a new Home. This Jeep is a lot of fun sure to bring smiles to many who see it.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3900.
It runs, but has several rotted places.
“1952 Willys army military jeep m38a1 in pretty good shape!
Frame is good with no rot at all just rust.
Body is decent with some rot but not horrible.
Engine starts and runs and sounds healthy on a test fuel tank, haven’t tried gassing up the fuel tank in the jeep.
Brakes don’t work at all, clutch is good, emergency brake works.
Goes into gear and moves, transmission is good!
All tires are holding air and actually in pretty good shape!
Doesn’t appear to have ever been plowed with!!!
Let’s be real here, I just don’t have time for another project. This is a good jeep, buy it before someone else’s does!
No trades
Similar to cj5 m-151
Clean clear nys transferable reg
Last registered as a farm vehicle in 1991. This was a true barn find in upstate ny.”
