“Just in time for Spring is this one of a kind 1953 Willys Hot Rod Truck. It may still say 4 wheel drive on the Hood but this bad boy has been transformed from snow plow duty to a bitchin Street Rod. The project started with a super clean stock 53 Willys pickup. The front end received a Mustang II suspension while the rear end came from a Lincoln. Four wheel disc brakes stop this machine like a 747. A brand new Ford 302 crate motor handles the power. the engine was placed as low and as far back as possible which gives this ride great handling. Inside has a bench seat and Jimmy Shine “spiked ball” shifter knob. Easy to drive and very reliable. New Painless Street Rod wiring. all lights, horn, turn signals etc. work as they should.”

“This truck is clean inside and out it is a great father son project restoration”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $15,000
“Mechanically perfect, currently registered, clean title, invested way over selling price. This is a 5 speed – 6 cylinder rebuilt Buick motor, motor quiet as a mouse. This Willys is on a Toyota 4×4 frame so it rides much smoother than an old Willys. New full bench seat that reclines and moves forward/backward. Power steering, all gauges work, all electrical works: tail lights, head lights, brake lights, interior lights, blinkers. CHP approved. Everything has been done: front end, rear end, transfer case, transmission, brakes…..no leaks. It is all about gearing, this car will go 70 mph, great on gas. Tires good. Just painted. Well worth it!”
Paul spotted this unique Inspection Willys Jeep Truck at Just a Car Guy’s blog. I would guess this was sold as a truck with no bed. What’s odd is the extra cab thing on the top. Looks like it was part of another vehicle.

This auction is for two trucks. The ’57 is apart, but has a title, while the tow truck doesn’t have a title.
“Auction is for a 1957 Willys Pickup, with clear title, that is in pieces however you will receive at no additional cost a Really cool Willys Pickup/Tow Truck. This is a project that needs some finishing touches however most of the heavy lifting is already done. Pretty solid however the cab has had some repairs that are less than perfect. Serial number for the Tow Truck is 55268 70575. Most of what I did was major mechanical…new timing chain and gears, new electronic distributor, rebuilt carburetor, new clutch and pressure plate with turned flywheel, new speedometer cable.
* used some parts from a 1957 pickup that will also be included in the sale, specifically the T-90 trans and cross member as well as the wiper motor. Truck runs great, clutch is smooth as silk. Needs new front windshield, tail lights and other minor finishing touches. This is as close to original as it gets…she isn’t fast and drives like she’s 50 years old but it is really cool. You will receive clear title for the 1957 and all remaining parts from the 57..cab, frame, axles, etc. The Ramsey pto isn’t hooked up but is included as well as the drive shaft to the winch. Front pusher bumper and plow included. The plow pump needs an adjustment to the check valve as it doesn’t always stay up. You will also receive a brand new radiator and plastic gas tank however the ones in the truck are fine. Buyer could use the Tow Truck as parts Truck to refurbish the 1957…just a thought.”
