UPDATE: This Fire Jeep Blitz Wagon sold for $14,805 on eBay.
“These trucks were made in old forge ny by two gentleman there. Army Armstrong who is since deceased and Al Brussels who still resides in Old Forge, NY. They were made on multiple chassis but the earliest on the jeep chassis. The brand was “blitz buggy” fire apparatus . Not sure why or where that blitz wagon decal on the one listed came from. Many variants can be seen in the old forge fd 100th anniversary book as they were commonly demonstrated at old forge drill school which still exists. A similar picture and some history of the sister truck is on the cj3b page as bill Meyer tells the story of how he obtained his.” (read more about these trucks at the bottom of this post)
This same truck was auctioned back in Sept 2013 on eBay, but didn’t sell:
“3/4 ton class fire truck. Truck was used in the Alcoa Aluminum plant in Badin NC. Truck has siren, red lights and water pumper. No collision damage. No rust through. Body is in very good condition.
6,048 miles. The vehicle does run. It was last driven in Christmas parades several years back and has been in dry storage since. It will need some tune up attention to drive. Fluids are still in the engine. The carburetor may need to be cleaned and the fuel tank may need to be cleaned. We believe the tires are original.
It is original 6 volt.
Estimate 300 gallon water tank.
2 manual hose reels with hose hannay.
2½” fill line with hose
2½” discharge parts
Water pump is PTO (operated under water tank)?”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500.
(01/07/2014) This looks solid. I think the paint might be fading on the front. It needs a fuel pump.

(11/07/2013) “My 1948 Willy’s Jeep CJ2A Truck needs a good home. I originally got it to restore to it’s original natural beauty, but realized vehicle restorations just aren’t my thing. The body is original and sits on a C-10 frame. It has a 350 engine with a 4×4 that runs like a beast. Don’t’ know how many miles on the engine, but no problems with it. Everything else is solid also. It starts and runs good, plus it just looks really cool. Open to trade offers for other vehicles or bikes, just would like for them to run and safe to drive. ”
UPDATE: Was priced at $4500. **SOLD**
Dan’s selling this stock truck with a solid drive train and some rust.
“For sale: one great little classic black plate running 1952 Willys 4×4 truck with overdrive
General: This incredibly stock 1952 Willys truck stops, goes, steers, and cruises. The engine purrs like a kitten. Nearly all parts are there, but there is significant rust on the bed, doors, and rain gutters. This truck is a perfect candidate for an original restoration. Or, you can wait on the restoration and enjoy it as is.
Looks like there might be a couple dents along the driver’s side.
“49 willys truck with full custom bed. It’s sits on a 95 s10 blazer frame with a fuel injected vortec v6,10 bolt rear end ,disc brakes on front, new accuaters, new wiper arms and blades, fairly new Mickey Thompson street tires on rear 31/18/15…… Nice interior and decent paint …overall it’s a nice truck that really turns heads…it doesn’t need much at all…just needs seats bolted down, tune up like new plugs and wires …I’ll be knocking these out soon and the price will go up….asking 7500 Obo….I know what it’s worth so don’t try to low ball…I may trade ONLY FOR A CLEAN LIFTED Z71 preferably extended cab stepside….possibly a square body 80-87 swb 4×4 only if it’s super clean ….I don’t want no boats, atvs or anything except a Z71 or possibly a square body 4×4…. If you’re trades not worth the same or if you got to ask your dad or wife first don’t waste my time….best way of contact is text… 936.201 5797.”
Marc and his son were driving in Anderbolt (South Africa) when his son spotted this beautiful truck sitting in a showroom at Boston 4×4 Accessories. If you are in South Africa, check out their store.
He writes, “This truck is their company demo vehicle for the 4×4 accessories and parts they supply under the name of Boston 4×4 Accessories, +27 11 914 3004 or sales@boston4x4.co.za. and are located in Anderbolt, Boksurg, Gauteng, South Africa. I see their web page is down, under construction.
It has a small block V8 (ford) but I didn’t learn the transmission set up. I could not find the data plate for the serial number any where. As noted in the photos, this truck is right hand drive, not a factory mod. Done way after it left the US.”

Joe dropped by the Scottsdale show and spotted this nice looking truck. He writes, “Great show with hundreds of cars Jan and I attended (McDonalds Rock and Roll Car Show) at the Pavillion Shopping Center in Scottsdale today. Only a couple of WWII jeeps, but I thought you might like this Willys Pickup for sale. With Barrett Jackson nearby, ending tomorrow, a lot of folks have show car fever. Here’s a link to a nice store about Donald Fouste written by his kids. As a rancher out of Hells Canyon, Idaho, Don and his family needed the utility and comfort a 4WD truck could offer. This truck came with a stock bed, but Don modified it by installing a flatbed and stock racks. He also added a carrying rack on the top. The truck was equipped with a rear PTO, which allowed him to use a saw or water pump.
