Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Engine seized.
“This Jeep is completely original in all engine and body parts down to the original Willys floor mat (except for the front seats, which have been reupholstered). It includes a matching pair of 1960 year-of-manufacture Washington plates. It has been in storage and the low price is because the 6 cylinder L6-226 Super Hurricane engine has seized up.
The body is in good condition with only minor rust spots as seen in the photos. The tailgate opens to a food cabinet and ice box that I used for camping. The price includes new front and rear high quality Rancho leaf spring sets, two boxes of body, brake, engine, and electrical system parts, a custom car cover, and a Service Manual.”

“This is an original 1 owner TEXAS vehicle with a lot of history. Original Texas title, lien note, pictures included. Basically this was a barn find and the vehicle made its way to Pennsylvania and has a clear PA title as the second owner. Previous owner never titled but completed the following: complete disassembly of vehicle, body removal from frame, body work, paint, wood trim floor and is sitting back on the original 2wd frame. You will NOT find a better body to start a project or restoration with this many original parts included. All parts were saved and boxed the following are included, INTERIOR seats, trim, dash, controls, glass, EXTERIOR, engine (needs rebuilt or replaced) transmission, driveshaft, radiator, trim, emblems, lights, bumpers. Original 4-cyl Hurricane F-Head 134 Engine was completely rebuilt October 2016 by H. W. Welch (one of the best Willys/Jeep restorers in the east). Dana 4-Wheel Drive Differentials, Borg Warner T90 3-Speed Manual Transmission, New Overdrive Installed October 2016 makes it much more drivable on the highway.
This truck has recent paint, new interior, new water pump, new exhaust, nice chrome, new tires and American Racing Baja alloy wheels. It starts every time and runs and drives great. This is a unique car show/cruise night car that gets lots of attention and thumbs up on the highway. $19,000.”

“1966 Mitsubishi Jeep J30 4 Door 4X4
Built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries under license from Kaiser Jeep.
These were made from the late 1950s through the late 1990s. However, very rare here in the US.
It features a 4 Cylinder gas motor with a 3 speed manual column shift. (Three on the tree).
It has a THREE speed transfer case 2 Hi, 4 Hi, 4 Med, 4 Lo, and N.
The motor runs quite well. It shifts fine. We drove it to the lot.
However, the brakes need work before it can be driven. No brakes!
Overall the Jeep is pretty solid. There is some minimal rust in various rocker and door spots.
The frame, floors, and underside look remarkably well. The truck came from Texas.
The interior appears to be mostly original. The seat upholstery is good, but the cushioning material has deteriorated.
The door panels need recovering and the headline is missing (the insulation is still there).
After market gauges and radio have been added many, many years ago. The radio actually works.
The tire look fairly recent. It looks like it was probably repainted eons ago.

(06/19/2017) The Jeepney doesn’t run. The oil filter mount isn’t a triangle nor is it a circle. It’s an oval. What’s that from? It also has an interesting dash, too.
