“53 Willy clean title call”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1800
“1946 CJ2.. very rare, low vin. Ready for restoration or just drive as is. Call for information. Serious inquiries only, Partial trades considered.. Old guns…”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4950.
(04/24/2014) Looks like this is a VEC body. Has an f-head.
“For being 68 yrs old, this is a very nice vehicle. It has matching frame and body serial numbers and numerous newer parts including:
– “F” Head 90 hp motor
– rebuilt transmission
– 12 volt conversion with remanufactured generator
– carburetor
– solenoid, coil, starter & battery
It certainly isn’t perfect, but it’s hard to expect more for the age and the price.”
Doesn’t drive, but engine starts.
“1948-49 CJ 2A Jeep for parts or restore. Not running. Engine will start but runs rough. Rear end pinion gear locked up. Lots of good parts or restorable. Frame in good condition. Plenty of rust on floorboards. $1350 or best offer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
Seller listed this as a 1943, but looks like a 1946 to me. The front frame rails and bumper look good. A PTO winch is in the rear. It’s pretty complete, but still a project.
“Found in barn all original only thing missing is engine fan has been through a lot needs someone willing to do a little to make it like it used to be call or text if interested I will deliver for price asked”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1800.
Runs and drives.
“1978 DJ5 Mail Jeep
Right hand drive.
Has very rare AMC 4 cylinder motor
Automatic transmission
Runs and drives
Needs shocks”
UPDATE: Was $150. **SOLD**
Seller saved this and hopes a willys lover can use it.
“Up for sale is a willys jeep powered air compressor I saved it from the scrapyard with plans to restore but have no time for it anymore. Would like to see it go to a jeep collector it turns over that’s all I know about it. Looks pretty complete”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was Make Offer.
Needs some work. The vintage logo of Sylvan Lake is neat.
“Old Mail Jeep 6 Cyl for motor engine would be great for a collector needs some trans work.
MAKE OFFER”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $650.
“I got this overdrive in an m38 willys that I bought and don’t know the history of it. It does turn and spin and all parts move. It is a Warn, the data tag says it is a 33-29, but the gear has a 26 on it. It came off of a 18 transfer with a t-90 transmission in a willys m38.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $250.
I thought this might be a Porter & Reed, but as Bill points out it isn’t aluminum. Now I think it could be a Koenig Jiffy Cab (which came in aluminum or steel).
Looks like a good price. Is it a Porter & Reed?
“THIS IS A VERY NICE ALL STEEL CAB FOR A 1941 TO 1953 WILLYS JEEP CJ-2.”
Has rear PTO.
“1946 Willy’s jeep.
Mostly complete (bad/ugly motor)
No seats, No front window(or frame)
Some gauges Missing
Body has rust.
Chassis is good with warn twin stick overdrive and rear PTO winch.
This jeep has awesome potential for resto, hot rod, or to part out.

“Great condition ready for the road all original. Three speed on column. Only missing bed step panels. Serious buyers only reply.”

“1946 Jeep CJ2A rolling chassis. Everything but one rear spring. Includes motor, trans and transfer case, front fenders, steering wheel, and clutch, and brake pedals. Nice solid frame, no rust.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(03/20/2015) One jeep runs.
“I have two Willys Jeep CJ2A a 1947 and a 1948. The 48 is titled, but completely disassembled for restoration. I have a lot of spare parts, including a complete spare motor. I also have a 47 that runs drives and stops. It does not have a title. The tub on the 47 is rusty with patches. I bought a restored CJ2A and lost interest in this restoration. I am willing to discuss prices on parting out or making a package deal. Respond with name and phone number if interested.”
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $6000.
Worth a closer look at that price.
“Title on site , Original engine, 24 volt generator system is in tack, foot push button start, military non-directional tires are 2 years old w/spare, all seats present w/olive drab canvas covers, ready to drive away.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $3000
(05/07/2014) No pics provided. The title might say ’49, but always check the serial number and other details.
“Google it! Extremely Rare! It’s the Loch Ness of the Jeep Forums! Heard about, but rarely seen! This IS the real thing! 1949 Willys Overland CJ2A Jeep! Only 2182 of these were produced. Original motor and transmission! Will crank! Body in excellent shape! Great project for restoration/history buff!”

I felt better today, but still sneezing and coughing quite a bit, so I laid low. However, Ann spent some time wandering around Alamogordo taking photos (good for her!). She even managed to wiggle her way onto private grounds to photograph a building used in several movies (Fred and Cindy tells us that usually NO ONE is allowed to go inside the gates). I hope to publish some of her photos on Wednesday. We will most likely leave Tularosa on Wednesday.
I got a bit of good news. Ann and I will be the inaugural guests at Red River’s Bed and Breakfast in Fredericksburg, Texas (once the plague leaves me and we can make it there). Tomorrow I will nail down a date with James.
James runs the Red River Jeep Tours in Red River, NM, along with the Uncorked Wine Tour and now a bed and breakfast in Fredericksburg.

Her are a couple additional illustrations. Based on a quick look of Mr. Arifman’s projects, it appears they are well done.
Roberto writes, both have been commissioned by Mr. Firman A. Arifman, from Indonesia. He´s a Willys jeep restorer and his company is called “Reborn Workshop”, located at Yakarta. This is its Facebook website:
These are generally priced higher on eBay. This is similar to the Grrrumbler.
