“To many new parts to list. Runs great!”
Runs and drives.
“This Jeep is in great original condition, unmolested complete and ready for restoring to perfect condition. It has a rebuilt flathead motor that runs excellent, locking hubs and two new tires. It also has two spare motors for parts. It comes with a tow bar ready for transport.”
This looks to be a CJ-2A chassis with a M-38 body and a MB/GPW windshield. That’s my best guess.
“1948 Jeep willys clear title about 80% rust free from California..new gas tank, new lights and turn signals, some extra parts motor just rebuilt $2k have receipt please no trades need to sell”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $100
If this were closer, I’d snap it up in a heartbeat.
“Old Sku wench. 8000 pound wench. Its a Bellview or a early warn. This is a power in only. The mounting bracket not exact fit but with some new holes and your mad skills it would be mounted up before lunch! Your buddy gets stuck in the ditch, you have 8000 A pound wench on your macho boy truck. Just hook up and pull yourself in with him.”
Both are projects. Looks like the 3A includes a half top.
“CJ2 and Wagon, one price, or negotiate separately. Both complete, and both titled. Both at restoration project start stage.”
Seller has listed this at $100, but that might just be a random figure. It’s a mix of GPW and CJ-2A parts.
“’43(?) Ford GPW parting out. This project is just going to be to big for me. Bought it as a CJ2A but have just found out that it is a Ford GPW. Frame serial number was ground off for an engine support. Have tub (very ruff shape), frame and axels (JC2A not PGW axels). Looking at cutting it up and taking to the scrapers. So let me know if you need anything off of it.”
No drive train.

The April 1956 Willys News contains the story below about a Willys Truck that was transformed, using a purpose-built body, into a motor home.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Last year one of these was sold in segments. I bought one of those segments and I’ve seen some of the others. It’s a rare, pretty interesting book.
“This Product Merchandising Manual was made by Willys Motors Inc and Willys-Overland Export Corporation. This Has a Dated Price List 1955. The Original Binder is in OK Condition ,I Will Never Say Perfect.
I Noticed a Few Sections Missing ,,IE Wrecker , PTO Equipment , Sprayers ,Maybe Those Sections Went To Different Dealers.”
Here’s a neat vintage pin. No idea how old it is. Anyone know?
Naturally she’s driving a GPW. While Willys produced their jeeps in Toledo, Ford produced there jeeps at multiple locations, including Richmond, California.

“Rare and interesting Foward Control Willys 1 ton truck with a 9′ cargo box. Inline six “Hurricane” engine and T-98 four-speed trans. 5:38 gear ratio 4 x 4 + Hi-Low transfer case and PTO winch. Said to be an ex-government truck.
Truck has been restored by an unknown party but appears to be a frame-off. Everything is redone top to bottom. Frame and running gear are clean and freshly painted. Interior is amazing, with fresh vinyl everywhere and even a complete headliner. Needs new door seals. (Available). Has new floor mats. New tires on coated rims. New gas tank. Must have been a ton of money spent on this.
Over $2000. in recent work by me with complete new brakes and tune-up, carb rebuild, etc. Has new electric wiper system that works perfectly. The body is very sraight and I can’t find a hint of rust anywhere, but there was a problem with paint prep, and the new paint is coming off. Will need prep and paint to be perfect.”
