Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This looks to be a CJ-3A chassis with a CJ-2A body.

Listed as a 1946, it looks like it might be a CJ-3A with an M-38 body. It also has a rear bed extender. Only the one pic provided.

“I’m closing out my car collection and offering this ’63 Willys Jeep Tuxedo Park. It runs great and drives well (for an old Jeep). It is equipped with a Warn overdrive. I had a lot of upgrades done to this vehicle in the past two years. Some of the more important ones:
Completely new brake system, upgraded to 11 inch drums which greatly improve braking
New wiper motor
Some steering components replaced as needed
New tires (still look new)
New exhaust system
Seats reupholstered
Parking brake shoes on driveshaft relined
New pinion and axle seals
Wheels powder coated. They are the correct 16 inch size
Front floor pans replaced and coated with Rhino Liner
Hard top appears to be factory or dealer installed. Roll bar added
Odometer mileage shows 56,607 as of this date. Speedo/odometer works but I don’t know if this is the actual mileage or not.
This is a Tuxedo Park model. There were few produced and not many left that haven’t been repainted or modified. The T.P. was a trim option which included special body color (Indian Ceramic), chrome bumpers and hood hinges, special tail lamps, color-keyed steering wheel and a few other items. Needs some work, Engine runs, clutch works, transmission stays in gear from what we know, needs some body work, was a snow plow vehicle all its life, comes with extra axles, frame, both doors, 2 covers and plow. Thanks to Scott for this link. The sale is for a 22 x 28 inch painting made by an artist named Daves from the original version of this image by Sessions. According to the seller, this painting was used as the cover image for Ray Cowdery’s book All American Wonder II.

“60’s cj5 frame and dauntless motor. 70’s t15 transmission and Dana 20 tcase. 70’s axles 4:27 gears. Disc brakes and power steering. All new clutch stuff with hydraulic master. Still needs some tweaking, maybe a different size master. Fiberglass body. Good title. Runs moves stops, but still a project.”

“It’s a 43 Ford, 47 tub. Was planning on getting it ready for some trails with friends but I realized I like VWs more. I think it has the original engine. Pan is in decent shape. Engine runs and transmission works although I have only ran through the first two gears on our property. Brakes need to be redone. I have all the replacement brake parts and an aftermarket wiring harness along with a second carb that will come with it. Has a soft top that is not really functional. Tires are delaminating pretty well. Great project for someone … Battery does not come with the car.”

This was priced at $12,500 and seems to have sold pretty quickly. Of note is that it has the Hudson steering mod. If Wikimedia is correct, this may have been from a 1954 Hudson.

“Redone by previous owner, who upgraded from Go Devil to Hurricane engine. I bought in 2016. Converted to 12V in 2019. Just redid brakes and added dual-reservoir master cylinder this year. Carburetor rebuilt this year. Drives great. I have driven it from Fort Collins to Walden over the Poudre! Paint is good with a minor booboo on hood. Selling to do dental work.”
