Craig found this article in the August 1956 issue of Jeep News. A pair of signs only cost $7.00 at the time.
That’s a pretty nice testing cage.
“You are bidding on an original 7 x 9 Wire Photo of WWII Swedish Army Instructor Training With Jeeps . Photo is dated July 1954 WWII Swedish Army Instructor Training With Jeeps.”
This is an interesting photo.
“Original B/W Photograph These are all original and stamped US Army Signal Corps”
This is another good ad from Argentina.

(02/15/2013) This trailer setup looks good.
“Up for sale is my M416 military trailer that has been modified into a off-road camping/adventure trailer. This started off as a ¼ ton M416 surplus trailer. It was completely stripped down and sandblasted. The Axle was replaced with a 3500 lb unit with 6 lug bolt pattern for Toyota and Chevrolet. The frame was extended in the front for a cooler rack, and two military style gas can mounts ( gas cans will not be included). Trailer still maintains the military pintle hitch. Body had the floor cut out and replaced with heavier steel. A custom lid was made which opens using a modified tailgate latch and heavy duty lift struts. On top of the trailer sits a large Serengeti Rooftop tent.(http://campinglab.com/serengeti01.html)

(11/19/2012) This Jeepster has an unusual pattern or design on the door. Looks good otherwise.
“This is a great car, fun to drive and a real head turner. I purchased this last winter from a private seller in AZ who had been rebuilding it and he tried to keep it as original as possible. It was near finished and I added a few things to it. Here is a list.
New: top and side curtains, frame for top, gas tank and sending unit, exhaust pipe and muffler, fuel pump, turn signals, hub caps, seats covers, a new overdrive, chrome bumpers, headlight hoods, exhaust deflector, steering wheel with suicide knob, outside mirrors, dash nobs. The engine is a totally rebuilt 4 cyl. (lead-free gas) by a Jeep expert in Phoenix and it has a newer paint job with a few small road chips (see pictures) and almost all of the chrome is new and looks excellent. I had a slider built for the driver’s seat so it can be adjusted. It is a six volt system and has radial tires that are like new. It has always been garaged.”
UPDATE: Was listed at $600. **SOLD**
Looking for a vintage soft top for your CJ-3A? This might be what you need.
“This is an original Whitco Jeep part. We took it out of the box to install on our ’46 Willy and discovered the top is for a a CJ 3. This is brand new and had never been out of the box. There is some box damage to which there is a minor hole in a back corner of the material. All parts are there, instructions included. This is a 1203-A Convertable Full Top for a CJ-3A.
The following is a link to the original brochure:

At a start price of M-38A1, this looks like a solid jeep.
“his jeep has a ford 302 mated to the original drive train which is a 3spd transmission with a twin stick transfer case and 5.38 positive tract differentials. it has good 31×10.5×15 tires and ford turbine wheels. we welded new sides on the jeep (14 gauge steel). it has fiberglass front fenders and a roll cage (full). the top is not in the best condition. the seats came out of a 66 mustang, i believe…. my whole family used to go trail riding and this was my grandfathers jeep, however we all quit going and he would like to sell it. so i offered to put it ebay for him. it was great on the trail by the way! it has been just setting around for 5 yrs or so and probably needs the average maintenance, (filters and fluid changed). it does start and runs though all the gears just fine. oh it also has a new gas tank in it and probably other things that im forgetting. any questions shoot me and email, thanks
pick up only.”
This vehicle cracked me up. It was street legal in 1992. The title is even current.

This runs and drives.
“1947 Willys jeep. Curret registration and safety. Runs and drives great $2500 OBO.”
This has matching numbers.
” 1942 Ford GPW, 4X4, Clear title. Matching Numbers.
Jeep has been parked inside a attached garage for nearly 20 years. Runs and drives. Windshield in good condition with no chips or cracks. Transmission has recent rebuild.. 4×4 works great. There is a noise while in first gear still not sure whats causing it. Quite in second and third. Exterior body has been sanded down to bare metal to search for bondo and rust except for rear of the jeep, and then sprayed with primer to prevent surface rust. Two small rust areas on each side and in tool box area. Comes with brand new shocks, and a bumper bracket to replace one that is broke (Pictured). New fuel pump. Rear diff has been removed cleaned resealed and painted and reinstalled. New U Joints in front drive shaft. Tires hold air but will need to be replaced. Transfer case was separated and inspected while trans was out, and everything internal looked good. Leaking gear oil slowly I believe it is at a gasket on the transfer case.

(08/25/2011) This hit something hard in the bumper … or something hit it.
“For sale are a restorable 1948 Willys Jeep and a 1947 Willys parts jeep, both of which have their own matching tags and MN titles. Frames on both are solid but the 1948 has some plates welded to the front bumper mounts and there is dent in the front bumper. Engine on the 1948 needs new piston rings but ran very well a couple years ago. The windshields will need to be replaced on both jeeps due to rust. The 1948 has a plow lift bracket on the rear bumper and the tailgate has been cut out so that it could be let down around the bracket (cut stops just below the Willys logo). The 1948 was also converted to a 12 volt system and has working headlights and heater fan (passenger side).”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1850
(09/09/2012) The price might be good depending on the work that needs to be done.
“Runs great
