“ORIGINAL RARE 1957 JEEP WILLYS CANADA WHEEL DRIVE AD ( JEEP SNOW BLOWER ) CANADIAN”
This has been updated with a 59AB Flathead (Mercury?) motor.
“Up for sale is my 1943 Willys MB Jeep.
This California black plate Jeep was last in one family for over 30 years.
It has a clean California title and current registration. MB tag is still intact on the frame.
This Jeep was converted to use a 59AB flathead V8 engine. The flathead starts up, idles, and runs perfectly – no smoke or strange noises. Brand new water pumps, plugs and hoses were just fitted. I will include new original engine frame mounting brackets with the sale if the new owner wishes to convert the Jeep back to the 134 L-head engine.
The body is original, in very good shape, and has lots of character. Has some rust in the usual areas (hat channels, shovel/axe corners of tub). It’s an honest body with no bondo hiding hidden rust holes. The Jeep has some original gauges, lights and switches on the dash. Spare tire and jerry can holder on the rear. A CJ style gate has been added, but can easily be welded back to the original style with a replacement panel.
Comes with some loose original parts, like the brake inspection cover, windshield gun mount brackets, hood latches, etc.
Great fun to drive around town, and gets lots of attention. Just needs a new owner to take care of her. Would make a fun restoration project that you can also drive around right away.”
This has an updated motor.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
The sides have seen some body work.
“This 1947 Jeep Willys was purchased in 1986 and has no title. it does however have a colorado VIN inspection and was cleared. it can be titled in any state … just needs some paperwork done. the VIN inspection and a bill of sale which i will provide. it was used very little for hunting on private roads so it wasnt titled in colorado. it was a project my grandfather wanted to do 25 years ago. it runs great has a Buick V6 231. it has chevrolet steering. the brakes work … just need to be bled as it has been sitting in a shed for some years now but i have been running it and with some TLC it will be a very nice vehicle again. we have a spare tire for it but it was flat so it is at the repair shop now being fixed. buyer accepts responsibility for shipping or pick up. we deliver vehicles anywhere, $1.50 a loaded mile”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Make Offer.
DC correctly noted the headers are capped, meaning the exhaust is fed through alternative pipe to a muffler (probably). Dual outlet headers were available commercially for a while when you could still run an uncovered header.

“I have a nearly complete, mostly un-molested M38-A1 project jeep. This Jeep came out of Nevada about 15 years ago, and the paperwork has been lost. It is mostly complete and stock. Original F-head 4-cylinder, 3-speed transmission, ..stock suspension, tires, wheels. The tires are shot from sitting. The body is mostly straight, with a small amount of minor rust. It is not cut up or damaged other than the right front fender being bent, probably fix-able. Steering, brakes, etc. all original. The seat frames are there, with cushions, but no upholstery, and the cushions would only be useful for patterns. The windshield is intact with good glass. It has bumpers that are not stock, and also has a tow bar on the front. This is a “barn find” I have not tried to start it yet (engine is NOT seized). I may consider offers and trade. Pictures available on request.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
(08/02/2012) This doesn’t run.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $900.
(12/04/2012) This is a 1947 CJ-2A with the “Go-Devil” L4-134 engine. It was a project, but I ran out of time and money.
The engine is fully rebuilt and bored .080 over. The head was milled and the block was checked for cracks. Crankshaft was machined .030 under. It has new valves, guides, and hardened seats to run on unleaded gas. New rings, bearings, gaskets, seals, oil pump and more.
The Jeep has the tub, aluminum gas tank, radiator, intake and exhaust manifolds, and drivetrain. This would make a good project.”
I found this picture on Flickr. That’s a long line of jeeps.
How about this neat card.
“Very Nice condition Soldier’s greeting card with only some minor creases; no writing, stains, blemishes, etc. Measures 4-3/4″ by 5-3/4″.”
This brochure includes pictures of the bed extension and the optional vertical doors (I think Andy’s Airport Jeep had these).
Anyone know the history of the bumper? I haven’t seen one with so many numbers.
“2 original WW2 U.S. photos (2.5 by 3.5 inches), slightly curled from age.”
