Gerald spotted this jeep ring sold by Fast Eddie’s Jewelry. You can find them on Facebook. They will custom make all kinds of rings. Hmm .. not sure I have a category for this topic!

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7999
Nick spotted what appears to be a very original CJ-3A. This may be a very unique find.
“This jeep has been in our family since 1951! It is a Willys (civilian) and has NOT been modified. Color is dark green with a custom vinyl white top, doors, seats and back window coverings. The battery is new. Includes trickle charger. The tires are original. Second brake light added. All parts are available. Mileage: 27,117.9 – towed for hunting and fishing expeditions, some road miles.”
Nice looking restoration.
“1965 Jeep CJ-5A Tuxedo Park Mark IV
ID# 832215083 Dauntless V6 Engine, 4 speed Standard
Incredibly done, body off, absolutely perfect CJ 5A very rare Tuxedo Park
Mark IV.
A Buick (standard Jeep issue) 225 Dauntless V-6 engine that purrs like new,
and the rest you can certainly tell from the pictures.
There are only two notable issues; driver door window crack, and it is a
little tough braking.
Shifts perfectly, all correct Jeep except the tail lights. These are chrome
but not correct for this year.
Power lock differential front and rear. Interior is amazing. Hard to find
Jeep hub caps.
Note the truck is a color change; Paint Code 230 was Parkway Green; Trim
Code 225 was Green Vinyl Pleat. Who cares.
Beautifully done in every regard, a real must to the Jeep collector.
Remember it’s a Tuxedo Mark IV.”
UPDATE: This scam has been drifting west on Craigslists. Bryan, whose eBay ad is the one copied by the scammer, was contacted by a woman who found his phone number in the scam ad.
Bryan wrote and told me, “I talked to a lady today that almost got sucked in. Her husband is in the military and the scammer told her he was overseas fighting and could arrange shipping for the jeep. She said the scammer reeled her in with the his false military fighting for our country story….she said the only thing that stopped her was my eBay ad and my phone number I put on the ad. She called me to confirm it was false.” Bryan has reported the situation to the FBI. You can contact the FBI at this phone number (251) 438-3674.
There’s a M-38 craigslist scam that’s been listed on about ten craigslists along the east coast. The text came from a January 5 eBay listing.
This is the pic that’s been included in the ad:
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000.
Walter found this one. It looks solid from the front. It has some unusual windshield bumps.
“In great condition and all original parts, interior, etc. has been garage kept”
This looks like a good one. What’s the metal hook sticking out above the jockey box?

It’s listed as a ’46, but it probably isn’t. The body is very interesting. It has no drain holes, the hood doesn’t have ‘Willys’ on it, and this has tool indents with what appear to be tool attachments. It could be a replacement body.
“This Jeep was last started 8 years ago and may or may not run now. It has been garaged for at least the last 20 years and has little to no rust. The one picture shows it with the soft top which I still have, but is not on the Jeep now. The tires are like new and in remarkably good condition.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was No Price.
This is a good looking CJ-6.

(07/31/2012) Apparently, this looks good from 10 feet, but not so good closer.
“this jeep was set up for parade in 2000 looks good @ten feet ,runs good, all stock.”
Walter spotted these.
“I have 3 original OG OD green factory steel rims I’d like 2 sell. I scored ’em a while back off e-bay,…& lost the 4th one right @ the end of the auction,…hence I only have three. I was going 2 put ’em on my ’64 CJ 5,…but I have since sold that Jeep. These rims are solid,…a few licks w/a wire brush,…primer and paint & they will B good 2 go. They will fit any CJ or military Jeep of that era. No curbing that I have detected,…they look good and straight 2 me. I paid $75.00 each for them plus shipping. I’d like 2 get my money back out of ’em. I will consider reasonable offers. Plz contact me @ (910) 620-4494. Calls are better,…the display on my phone is jacked, so it’s hard 2 make out texts. Hope someone out there can use these,…I’m trying 2 clean out the garage. Thanks 4 looking. -K-”

I had updates scheduled to go out early on Monday morning, but they didn’t appear (related to changes I made to reduce resource use on my current server … grrrr). So, I’ve just pushed them out manually tonight.
Meanwhile, tonight my internet is down. So, I spent time researching and then playing around with the cover to my new book. Everything on the cover could change — title, subtitle, arrangement, my pseudonym, colors — I’m just working it through. Mom’s read the first draft and really enjoyed it. But, hey, it’s my mom. For fun here’s the book front cover draft, and I emphasize draft. Still lots of work left before its ready.
Craig spotted a postcard on eBay about a jeep train in Flamingo, FL. Some additional investigation revealed the train was located at the Flamingo Botanical Gardens. It looks like they still use a CJ-5 to pull the jeep train! A tour leaves every hour, on the hour, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
“Flamingo Gardens is a 60 acre not-for-profit attraction with a wildlife sanctuary, aviary, and botanical garden. The Gardens were originally the property of Floyd L. and Jane Wray, who in 1933 built a home and citrus grove on what was then the edge of the Everglades, where they started a botanical collection of tropical and subtropical fruit trees and shrubs.”

Gerald spotted this M-38A1-turned-flower-planter near the Crafted Warehouse at the Port of Los Angeles. There appear to be salvageable parts left.
This photo is for sale on eBay.
“You are bidding on an original 7 x 9 Press Photo of Jeep Plows Through Spring Thaw Amchitka Island Base Aleutian. Photo is dated.”
Here’s another brochure from the industrial equipment book.

Lycoming developed a generator/starter for planes that fit in the back of a jeep. I am guessing that this ad is probably from an aviation magazine, because I found an article about the Lycoming generator in the 1952 Aviation Weekly. Unfortunately, I could only view a snippet of it in Google. There is also a discussion of it at the CJ-3B Page.
