This is still a project, but now sports a fiberglass body and rebuilt engine.

“1951 Willys for Sale. This Willys restoration is nearly finished and includes a FIBERGLASS BODY,, rebuilt engine and complete restoration. Includes original Willys flat head 4 cylinder and original drive train. The Willys is 4 wheel drive. “Hello, Ive listed this jeep on here before it always came within $500.00 of the reserve but never sold. So I have lowered the reserve price hoping that it will go to a new home! Ok, Heres what i know about the Jeep It was bought by an retired Gen. back in 1962. He bought it new becauseHe thought it was the Idenacal Jeep that (Patton) was killed in duing the war! Now this has been disputed here in the last couple of days! When I pulled it up on a Google search it did say that he was killed in a cj-5 Jeep? But who really knows? Ive had several e-mails that totally agree with this and some dont.Im only 48 so I dont know? Anyway He later died and it went from collector to collector. When I purchased it here in Fl. My daughter was Just sixteen working on the beach. She could never get the hang of the shifting so I took it to a Jeep expert here in town and it started its three month change over to an automatic. I still have all of the original rear end, three speep trans. clutch and the presure plate. Also I have the gear box and the drive line for the front axle. I left this out on purpose so that my daughter would not be tempted by going down on the beach with it. Anyway, after several months she was leaving work in the jeep and four men in their early twenties started commenting on the jeep and how they wanted it for themselves. So as she was pulling away from them they grabbed her and tried to pull her out of it to steal it! Luckily she had her seat belt on and they couldnt! Needless to say she ran one of them over and took off! After all of that she was pretty shook up so I bought her a new car to drive and the jeep has been sitting in storage ever since. And that was last Aug.15th. I have gone over and started it about every six weeks. The last time was this last week end.  Ive been told by several people that this jeep is very rare and if put in the right place and person that it would bring up to $30,000. But im starting it at $12,000 and (No Reserve!) so what ever it bring is what it brings! I do know that it is alot of fun to drive and if taken care of it will last a long time! Please remember that it is 48 plus yrs. old! Good luck! and enjoy.”

Brett spotted this nice jeep. It sure looks nice for the price.  The front springs are reversed as expected. The updated rear springs seem to be pushing the rear axle forward a bit.

The updates haven’t been kind to the value of this flattie. I’d like to see some pics of the ‘original Ford flathead’. And yes, there really is a town named Howey in the Hills, which seems appropriately placed along Little Lake Harris!

“This is a 1946 Willys Jeep. The goods. It has the original Ford Flat Head four cylider engine and a three speed transmission with a high and low gear (granny gear). The engine runs good and starts right up. It comes with many extra parts including two spare transmissions, a service manual and a clean Florida title. The bad. Needs brakes. It has some rust but it is a solid vehicle. I’ve owned it for two years and it has been kept in my garage.”

This is your personal invitation:  You are invited to attend another “Most Excellent” Jeep Forward Control Roundup in Phoenix, AZ.

This is a limited invitation to only 1957-65 Jeep FC and 1961-65 FJ3-6 vehicles, USPS US Mail FleetVans or civilian Fleetvans. (not for DJ or any other AM USPS van) it is also not an invitation for any other model of Jeep or Willys Vehicles.
We invite all Jeep Forward Control Owners and Jeep FleetVan owners and friends to come and see several of these vehicles on display and meet with other FC / FJ owners.

Each year we have had several Jeep FC-150s narrow and wide tracks, FC -170 SRW / DRW, a few Military M-series FCs and a few FleetVans on display, this year, again we will have a variety of original unrestored, full restorations, and some repowered vehicles on display.

Please try to attend, with your vehicle running or not, in any stage of completion or condition, or bring pictures. Plan to meet with other owners that generously continue to come here and volunteer their time and information, learn new ideas and proceedures, this energy from my friends may give you that extra ambitious incentive for owning yours, or wanting to have one.

Bring your FC items, toys, memorabilia, photos, artwork, literature, and manuals to display. New FC related products and special tools will also be shown. There is no charge for the event. We do welcome and are always very grateful for any FC related items that are donated for the free raffle. FC Roundup event hats, T-shirts, Hot dogs and refreshments will also be available. Roundup information.

To the new FC or FleetVan people, It may be confusing, which Roundup to go to, they are all good, I wish we had more everywhere. I suggest go to all of them. One thing happens at all of them, they are events for FC Owners and friends to see and talk only about FC vehicles, where parking is for FC vehicles only. You do not need to have your FC to be here. If looking at pictures is good, seeing other vehicles and meeting the owners, to ask about details will help forever.

Each year after the AZ FC Roundup, someone says after the event, that they missed it. Mark your next year’s calendar, this event is always the last weekend of March, we have always been fortunate enough to have, Most Excellent weather at that time. And regardless of whatever else is going on, to me this event is more important, this event will always be here Friday thru Sunday.

This event is minutes from the Airport, no need for a rental car, we are fortunate to have a light rail that can bring you from the airport to here close to the event, where you can be picked up by one of our volunteers and brought to the Roundup.

Along the way are Motels at previous stops, you can also get back on the light rail and be picked up in an FC. We daily have places to drive FCs, so if you have never rode in an FC, do it here.
