“Hello, We are selling our 1946 Willys Jeep. It has the original 4 cylinder engine that was rebuilt entirely and runs like a top. We have the title. Lock-out hubs, After market high torque starter and original starter. All fiberglass body, hood, grill and window frame are steel. Hasnt been driven for a while but starts right up when you pour fuel in carb.

The carburetor was rebuilt but could use to be cleaned and replace fuel pump to run better. One brake line is broken to the master cylinder. Radiator was re-cored. Top is in good shape as it was never used. We are open to serious offers but please, no “low price” offers. A real fun fixer up project for someone. If this listing is here it is still available. Thank you,”

Tremaine told me he recently visited Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Waters and Kentuk Knob homes. At one of the gift shops there was book of Wright’s car collection, as he owned roughly 85 different cars over his life time. The book noted that at he owned three different jeeps over the years: a 1946 CJ-2A, a 1948 CJ-2A ‘Lefty’, and a wagon. While I was unable to locate a pic of the wagon, there is a photo on a Barrett Jackson page showing Wright’s two CJ-2As amongst some Crosleys.

Everything works well including service lights, blackout lights, horn, gauges, toolbox locks, etc. Accessories include 1942 M1 rifle scabbard. “948 Willy’s cj2a civilian model runs great, Drives down the road nice. 4×4 works. Have another cab kit with doors that I will throw in. Very little rust, floors have been repaired before I bought it. Has a 1966 Ford inline 200 6 cylinder in front of original running gear. New Rancho shocks, Fresh clutch. all seals and gaskets in transmission and transfer case have been replaced in the resent past. Like new tires, Spoke wheels been reconditioned, have extra wheels with old tires on them. only selling because I have too many projects and ready to move on to something else and thin out the herd. This rig is a ton of fun!”

“1946 Willys Cj2A. Very good condition, especially for being 74 years old she’s less wore out than me. I’ve had her a couple of years and have put on a new electronic distributor, full suspension, shocks and springs, Rugged Ridge front lockers, fuel pump, fuel gauge sender, spare tire, Hi Lift jack, bimini top, 130 c.i. “Go Devil” engine, tires in good condition. Starts and runs great! After WWII when the boys came home they wanted a Jeep like they had over seas. Here it is.

All new parts are from Kaiser Willys parts and accessories. Very few scratches and dents. The only rust is under the passenger seat in the built in tool box bottom that can catch and hold water.

If you are looking for a way restorable old Jeep this is a good way to go. If you call, please leave a message I don’t answer unknown numbers but will call you back. Please no lowballs or trades. And yes, the VIN is 27236!”
