“1948 jeep cj2a stock running gear upgrade steering/wheels”
Blaine shared this restored, beautiful 2WD column shift wagon. The BaT auction ended without the reserve being reached a couple days ago at only $12,750. It seems to me to be worth more than that. It may still be for sale.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1964-jeep-willys-station-wagon/
“The 1964 Willys Jeep Station Wagon is powered by a 134ci Hurricane inline-four mated to a three-speed manual transmission, and it underwent a partial refurbishment after being acquired by the seller in May 2021. Work included re-trimming the two-tone blue interior, re-plating the chrome bumpers, rebuilding the carburetor, and replacing the wiring harness, fuel pump, water pump, windshield wiper motor, shocks, and combination gauge. The truck is finished in blue with a white roof, and equipment includes 15″ steel wheels with full covers, a cowl fresh-air vent, wooden cargo floor slats, a heater, and an ashtray. This Willys station wagon is now offered with owner’s and service manuals as well as a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.”
Only the one pics provided.

(05/25/2023) This looks like a solid 2A. It’s #45590.

“This is a bed and frame including rear axle as shown. Great for parts for a FC150 or make a cool Jeep trailer. The floor has rust so will need to put something over it if you plan to use the bed. Fenders are decent and are worth $250 by themself. Price is $250. Can load. If the ad is posted it’s available. Phone calls only no text or emails. Would make a cool Jeep trailer.”
The 2A has a super hurricane engine.

One of these was an ambulance jeep.
https://slo.craigslist.org/pts/d/atascadero-wwii-1944-ford-jeeps/7653399503.html
“I have a pair of 1944 gpw Jeeps. One is numbers matching and one is a USMC WW2 ambulance jeep. The ambulance jeep is 1 of 20 known survivors as they made between 500-800 of them during the war. It needs a lot of work but is super rare. The floors are rotted and have new floors for it and a 27 gallon tub packed with new parts. Also it includes an original USMC marked mbt trailer. The numbers matching gpw has some rust out but better then 99% of Jeeps out there. It has a lot of original parts including the correct horn, front seats, correct carburetor and more.
Each jeep is 8k and have a nos gpw jeep engine block to offer extra with the ambulance jeep”
The two front seats and cage would be hard to duplicate at $600 if you have a 3B and want all of it.

“Full family style roll cage with 3 race buckets with covers. May trade for ammunition or firearms. No reloads! Don’t contact me on ad if you are not willing to drive to Wickenburg. Seat mounts are tied into cage. Please don’t ask stupid questions like is Jeep included.”
Doesn’t run. The tub appears to be a replacement tub.

“All original, complete 1946-1947 Army Jeep. Original engine, body in excellent conditions. Complete original example. Garage stored, tool box under seat working as it should. Motor turns over but has not ran in a few years. 3A windshield, Tags shown on frame and match numbers on motor. Lost title, serious buyers only.”
Unclear how much work it needs.

“This is original front-line ambulance used in the Korian War has never been on a county road surplus jeep sold to Osgood Farms only used as farm equipment. It is 20 inches longer than a wrangler jeep. Research on the internet to learn more about this very rare Willys only 4,000 built for military use serial number 020X3 to register DMV. It runs but not good enough to use yet all the drive train good needs to be restored these jeeps are mostly used in parades and displayed at military museums or post when finished. Has a 134ci Hurricane original engine. Discount for Veteran Post or veteran that wants to restore”
This has been sitting a long time.

“I ran this ad last June and received several offers. Unfortunately I was on an extended trip and was not available for showing. So I am now rerunning the ad for the next 2 weeks and will respond to all questions. I will then respond to offers in the order of amount offered.
1952 m38 —- This jeep was 90% refurbished in 1989 from the frame up new wiring harness (24 volt), brakes, etc. Motor and trans ran like a top. It has not been started since 1989. After 1989 it was stored in a rough outbuilding and obviously shows it. I have all the parts, snorkel, seat frames, etc. I’m 70 and don’t need this project. Would like to sell by the end of September and now taking offers. Please serious inquiries only.”
This looks to be a 2WD DJ-3A (body, grille, and front axle).

Engine needs rebuild. Looks like it has seen some trails.
https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/guinda-1948-cj2-willys/7658472482.html
“Complete CJ2 jeep Needs engine rebuild. Drive train is good. If I don’t sell it as is I will be asking $6500 with a rebuilt engine. Not sure on the miles. On non opp and title in hand. floor boards are not rotted out. The engine has been sitting for years with the cylinder head off. so the cylinder bores are rusty. The pistons are most likely stuck in the bore. my asking price is firm.”
Lacks an engine.

This June 20, 1960, Advertising and Merchandising Bulletin included a wall poster showing new styling changes in the ‘Jeep’ vehicle line. I wish I knew which poster that was.
There is also reference to an ad in the April 25th, 1960, issue of Life Magazine. But, it wasn’t a ‘Jeep’, but rather a Goodyear tire ad that includes a jeep.
Here is the Life Magazine:
I was going through eBay and found these jeeps on slides for sale.
This is an ad I’ve never seen. What’s more surprising is that the seller has four of them!

“Carborundum
Willys Jeep Ad
1942 Original ad.
It takes a lot of parts to make a Jeep”
David shared this unusual hub with me. It’s not one I recognize. I *think* it is some form of a summer hub, perhaps adapted from a locking hub. Note the welds on two sides of the six-sided metal plate atop the hub.
Barry let me know that Nate is selling this CJ-5 Farm Jeep. It includes a rare restored Stratton Lift that Barry highlighted here: https://www.farmjeep.com/lifts/stratton-lift/stratton-lift-restoration/
View all the information on eBay
Engine (F134), transmission (T90), transfer case (Dana 18) and axles (Dana 25 front, Dana 44 rear) were all rebuilt by the previous owner. The three point hitch is the hardest to find of all the ones used by Willys. It is a Stratton lift. All the lifting devices are under the bed which keeps the bed open. PTO is operational and comes with a 90 degree belt pulley.
There is a Novi governor on the engine and it is not hooked up. Brakes were upgraded to 10″ drums by the previous owner as well. Body has dents and dings. Only rot is in the hat channel behind the spare tire. Floors are really nice. See pictures for body damage. Has venting windshield and the glass is broken. Also has most of the original soft top bows.
Comes with original side steps and some other spare parts. Also has the regular seats if the buyer does not want the 60-40 bench seat. Lift arms are reproductions copied off originals. I have the templates and new decals along with other information that goes with the lift. Under the tub is good and the frame is not rotted or broken anywhere. There are helper coil springs in the rear. This is a very solid and original jeep. I rebuilt the lift cylinder three years ago. I have a clean title in my name. The jeep originally came from Washing state. Some of the lights do not work. Tires are old and have cracks, but they work just fine.”
Blaine shared this one. It includes a Converto Dump Trailer.
https://portland.craigslist.org/clk/atq/d/vancouver-1941-mb-willys-jeep-slat/7662296819.html
“For sale. 1941 MB Willys Slat Grill Jeep. The very first year of the Jeep.

This is a pre-war MB Jeep. This vehicle starts and runs great with a freshly rebuilt 1942 engine.
The original engine stamp date December 1939, (not installed) will go a long with the Jeep it is complete and is a good running engine.
New canvas top, seat covers, and back fold up seat.
.30 caliber belt feed machine gun (metal replica) with mount. Side mount ammunition cans included.
A very hard to find Solid steel dump trailer in great condition.”
This was last started 30 years ago, so keep that in mind.
https://twinfalls.craigslist.org/pts/d/burley-wwii-1944-willys-mb/7662567401.html
“This is an original WWII Jeep that spent its life on a farm in Idaho. It has about 25,000 original miles. Was last started and run about 30 years ago and has been stored inside in a shop since now collecting dust and bird poop. Although it was a military Jeep, it was never used by the military but instead in 1944 diverted for agricultural use, where a spray rig was added as well as large headlights and a heater, otherwise it is 100% original. The original small headlights are included as are 5 original combat rims and other military parts. This is a wonderful example of a first generation military jeep worthy of a ground up restoration. Well restored military Jeeps are worth $20,000 and great fun for parades etc. This one was owned by my father and another farmer before him and has a clear title. I will deliver for a fee or you may arrange to pick it up near Raft River, Idaho. The price is $7,900 with all extra parts wheels and tires.”
Scott’s selling his stock DJ-3A.
https://willysforsale.com/ads/1956-willy-dj3a-dispatcher/
“1956 Willys DJ3A Dispatcher. Rare 2WD with column shift. New brake system (master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, lines, hoses and emergency brake cable), new wiring harness and new tires. This is a true survivor with only 4 small areas that are rusted through (driver side foot board, panel above passenger foot board, cargo floor behind seats and panel next to tailgate on driver side). It runs great and could easily be restored if desired.”
This has tool indents and a column shift. If it is as restored as claimed, that’s a good price. It will need paint at the very least.
