(04/18/2018) Chad spotted another California modified Flattie. It’s nearly identify to three other jeeps (same body updates, same dash, same custom windshield, same Muller custom top, etc). The differences are slightly, such as this one has a black rear bumper rather than a chrome one like the others.
Here’s the ad …
“I’m selling my willys jeep. I hate to see it go but i don’t use it at all. Its in perfect shape. So many upgrades to the small block 305 v8. I don’t need to get rid of it so no low ballers. I am open to some trades and reasonable offers. I dont need help selling it and cash only. No scammers or tire kickers.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500.
I believe this is an early Koenig hardtop.
“Hard top and doors for a Willy’s/CJ5. I originally had got the top when it came with a ’73 CJ5 I had purchased, but since then it’s been replaced with a soft top and doors, so this has been sitting in my garage while I debated whether to sell it or not. I believe it was originally intended for older models (50s to 60s models), but it installed okay on the ’73
The doors come with the top. Windows are intact.”
Seller has other CJ-6 parts for sale, too.

“Early CJ6 Willys Jeep Koenig Ironworks Hardtop. The doors and outer roof skin have been media blasted. I have all of the hardware for the door sliding windows and sliding windows for the side panels. The rear hatch is missing, I never had it and dont know where it is. Seeing that it would basically be a flat piece of sheet metal with a top hinge it would probably be pretty easy to make one. The top is in reasonable condition, and I believe would only need some minor repair, new glass, and a rear hatch door to be 100%. I am asking $250 obo.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $650.
Appears to need some glass
“Cj2a Willys Jeep hardtop talk about rare to find 650 or best offer. Also willing to trade for M37. Dodge Power Wagon parts”
It looks like this might fit a CJ-3B.

UPDATE: SOLD. Was $3500.
(05/14/2019) Has no parking lights and lacks “Willys” on the hood, so this could be a mix of parts.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
Could be worth a look.
“1960 Willys Jeep Plow Truck. CJ5. 6 ft Meyer 3 way snow plow. In excellent condition for 59 years old. Has a new battery, two new snow tires, new clutch. Just need a bigger plow rig for our property. Plow and jeep work great. Has a V 6 engine. Miles unknown.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
This CJ-2A has a VEC windshield. It also has a rear PTO. The body looks to be a fiberglass Bobcat body.
“$5,000 OBO. Dont let this gem slip through your fingers! Not too many of theese around, and people have been stopping to look at it so much since i put it in the corner of the property for people to see. It really is an eye stopper as is. Has five patches on the outside of the body.

“1948 willys Jeep. This is a great fun little Jeep it was built back when everything was built to last and when Jeeps were tough as tanks. This Jeep has spent most of its life cruising around the back roads of Nelson county and only shows 90,000 miles on the speedometer, it was modified in the mid-50s and a homemade very well-engineered hard top was added along with removable doors and heat from a mid 50s Dodge and has remained virtually the same since.
It runs and drives great and is very dependable with loads of new parts, it has new brakes, new tires, new exhaust and the carburetor was rebuilt, all of the gauges work as well as all of the lights. It shifts through the gears perfect and the four wheel drive works great too. I can’t really think of anything that it needs. This little tank has some minor rust in the rear tailgate and a few spots around the rockers but it is far from being a rust bucket it actually has a really cool look to it just like it sets the scratches, rough paint, chipped paint and small amounts of rust give it character. If you’re looking for something fun to just play around with and cruise the back roads, take up into the mountains to go camping, hunting or something fun to have around your property this would be a great Jeep.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
This is a CJ-2A modified at the front cowl. Have we seen this one before?
“1948 Willys jeep has not run in several years.

“1962 Jeep CJ5 Universal, 4 cyl, 3 speed manual 4wd. Equipped with Rancho shocks and an old but excellent working Ramsey winch. 16 inch wheels & tires are in awesome condition. Clutch and fuel tank have also been replaced. There is some paint bubbling starting to show on the front fenders. Jeep runs and drives great, very fun and certainly a head turner. Seat belts and rear seat have been added. Original miles. Any questions or concerns message me and we can talk about it.”
I don’t recognize that hardtop.

“Selling this Willys Jeep for parts / restore. It was not registered and used on site only for occasional plow. Comes with plow. Engine is rebuilt, but since this was inherited, can not say it would run without tweaking. Offered at $1500.00.”

“1952 CJ3A, as you can in the pictures it is a ground up restoration. The hard top was made by Sears and Roebuck.”
Carl pointed out to me that the Cab Enclosure hardtop for the M-38A1 (by Metro Engineering) used plywood doors (all the time? sometimes?). Anyone have insights on this?
Here are two examples.
This video was taken in Salt Lake City (Avenues area) and shows and M-38A1 with plywood doors.
And, This thread on G503 includes the below pics of plywood doors.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $450.
Might be worth a look.
“decent condition. kept in barn storage for decades. 1 door missing outer handle and glass. 1 rear lift gate bracket needs replacement. $450 for everything.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $5700. The hardtop is unusual.

“This is a well maintained 1946 CJ2A that runs well and is kept in the garage when it is not being driven. Title is clear and Mileage is about 79,000 and climbing since it is usually driven for short trips every week or two during the summer. No front end shimmy. Frame is solid and bumpers are straight. Electrical system is the original 6 volt configuration. All gauges work along with headlights, taillights, blinkers, horn, and dash light. Heater and heater fan work well. The winch was manufactured by Sears and is operated by a hand crank. The body is in decent shape and would be a good candidate to restore. It has a hard top with doors that are easily removed by pushing out the hinge pins and the rear upper gate removes like a storm window. The entire cab can be removed by unscrewing four large wing nuts around the back, and two j-Bolts holding the roof to windshield frame. There is a modified bus seat that fits nicely in the back for more passengers.
Also included are lots of new and used parts such as clutch and pressure plates, clutch rebuild kits (still in WWII packaging), front axels, U-Joints, Carburetor, differential (New still in cosmoline), new in the box sealed beam headlight, starters, tie rods and ends, water pumps and much more….
If responding by email, please put “JEEP” in the subject line so my SPAM filter doesn’t catch it.”
That could be an early Worman hardtop.
