“1948 willys Jeep. This is a great fun little Jeep it was built back when everything was built to last and when Jeeps were tough as tanks. This Jeep has spent most of its life cruising around the back roads of Nelson county and only shows 90,000 miles on the speedometer, it was modified in the mid-50s and a homemade very well-engineered hard top was added along with removable doors and heat from a mid 50s Dodge and has remained virtually the same since.
It runs and drives great and is very dependable with loads of new parts, it has new brakes, new tires, new exhaust and the carburetor was rebuilt, all of the gauges work as well as all of the lights. It shifts through the gears perfect and the four wheel drive works great too. I can’t really think of anything that it needs. This little tank has some minor rust in the rear tailgate and a few spots around the rockers but it is far from being a rust bucket it actually has a really cool look to it just like it sets the scratches, rough paint, chipped paint and small amounts of rust give it character. If you’re looking for something fun to just play around with and cruise the back roads, take up into the mountains to go camping, hunting or something fun to have around your property this would be a great Jeep.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
This is a CJ-2A modified at the front cowl. Have we seen this one before?

“1952 CJ3A, as you can in the pictures it is a ground up restoration. The hard top was made by Sears and Roebuck.”
Carl pointed out to me that the Cab Enclosure hardtop for the M-38A1 (by Metro Engineering) used plywood doors (all the time? sometimes?). Anyone have insights on this?
Here are two examples.
This video was taken in Salt Lake City (Avenues area) and shows and M-38A1 with plywood doors.
And, This thread on G503 includes the below pics of plywood doors.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $450.

“This is a well maintained 1946 CJ2A that runs well and is kept in the garage when it is not being driven. Title is clear and Mileage is about 79,000 and climbing since it is usually driven for short trips every week or two during the summer. No front end shimmy. Frame is solid and bumpers are straight. Electrical system is the original 6 volt configuration. All gauges work along with headlights, taillights, blinkers, horn, and dash light. Heater and heater fan work well. The winch was manufactured by Sears and is operated by a hand crank. The body is in decent shape and would be a good candidate to restore. It has a hard top with doors that are easily removed by pushing out the hinge pins and the rear upper gate removes like a storm window. The entire cab can be removed by unscrewing four large wing nuts around the back, and two j-Bolts holding the roof to windshield frame. There is a modified bus seat that fits nicely in the back for more passengers.
Also included are lots of new and used parts such as clutch and pressure plates, clutch rebuild kits (still in WWII packaging), front axels, U-Joints, Carburetor, differential (New still in cosmoline), new in the box sealed beam headlight, starters, tie rods and ends, water pumps and much more….
If responding by email, please put “JEEP” in the subject line so my SPAM filter doesn’t catch it.”
That could be an early Worman hardtop.

“Koenig 550 Super Full Cab for vintage Willys / Jeep CJ
Made to fit CJ-2a CJ-23a CJ-3b
Full size lockable cab
Lift up back access
Roll-up windows in front, slide windows in the sides
This is a project piece – the perfect addition to your vintage flatfender
– currently sitting on a cj5 and will require 4 strong people to remove/carry
– Doors are not currently attached
– all glass needs replaced (I’m told it’s a simple glass pattern and not expensive)
– locks need re-keyed (keys were lost years ago)”
Roger Martin spotted both of these jeeps on Facebook.
The first one was describe by Jim Burrill as a British Jeep during Operation Veritable.
The second jeep was posted by Norberto Boddy and was extended in the middle (CJ-2L-like). I tried to hunt down “Crescent Poultry Products”, but didn’t have any luck. The phone number seems strange, as it include an “L” in it; anyone recognize that phone number construction?
This has been disassembled.

“Posting my 1972 Jeep CJ-6 project. New frame (New, never used, OEM frame from the factory) currently sitting on brand new Old Man Emu suspension. Frame has been rust proofed and POR 15 coated. Dana 44 axle in rear with new pinion seals and brake lines. Tub in rough shape, but very salvageable. Full Meyers hardtop in very good condition. Meyers Half cab in fair good condition. Dana 20 transfer case in good working order, T-15 3 speed transmission in good working order. Also includes 2 sets of wheels/tires: original steel rims with old school steel belted offroad tires and a set of American racing wagon wheels with BGF all terrains.
Also included at asking price are the power train that I planned to put in this jeep: 1998 4.0 liter inline six motor with 70k miles on it, AX-15 5 Speed transmission with 70k miles on it, new clutch, Dana 300 transfer case already bolted to AX15.
You will need a trailer. Tub is off of the frame, both transmissions and both transfer cases are off of the frame, the motor is currently on the frame (but could easily be taken off). Frame is a roller at present: suspension and axles are in place. I have a trailer and can transport within New England for extra fee.
Photos below show current state as well as the last time the Jeep was together. everything has been stored in doors on stands since being taken apart.
reason i’m selling: family and I are moving and don’t know where we will end up just yet.
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $8800.

This has a nice vintage feel, though the fenders look newer.
“Willys Jeep 1961 for sale. Starts, runs and drives. Needs some TLC (it’s a Jeep). Gauges and wiring need work. The 12V conversion is still using a 6V starter. It is titled as a 1964, but when I ran the VIN number it comes up as a 1961 on the search sites specific to Willys.
Numerous new parts have been added over the past couple of years, but I’m moving on to other projects.

UPDATE: Still Available.
This one has a rare Boston Top. The shape of the roof and the suicide doors are two big clues.
