Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The motors all there but the head is off. I took pictures of the three first rust areas. The rest of it is pretty solid. I do not have a title for it.”
Looks like it could be a VEC. Might be a good price. Has pre-black-plate plates.
“Here it is! An unmolested flat fender Jeep. Runs like a swiss watch- flat head four cylinder. Hood, fenders, windshield, tailgate and vertical body panels are GOOD. Floor pan could use some patching in places. No top- who needs it? I only drive it on the weekends in good weather. I have a ton of spare parts including an extra transmission. Front brakes were upgraded to 11″ drums a couple years ago and this dude will now actually STOP when you want. Military style tires. Have a tow bar for it, an old (very cool) service manual that actually tells you how to fix stuff. Oh and it has a PTO that kinda works but I have nothing to run off it. If you’ve been looking for an original reliable old flatty this is it. No lift kit, no V-8 stuffed in it. Pretty much the way it was built (except upgraded to 12V and the brakes). Won’t last long. I’m not really dying to sell it so no low ball offers. No 215 or other crap- you’ll need cash for this. I will be able to show this to people on the weekend, 4/26-27. (04/23/2012) George of George the Jeep had this for sale.
“We call her JJ (stands for Japanese Jeep) is a 1975 HJ-38. The ID tag that is on the firewall reads “Manufactured in JAPAN by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Under License From Jeep Corporation U.S.A. We found this treasure in Montana a few years ago and decided that we just had to have it. She has a 4cyl Mitsubishi gas engine, a 4 speed column shift transmission with a 2 speed transfercase. She has a 44 offset rearend (same as wagoneer quadra-trac), 30 series closed knuckle front end. She is a right hand drive and even has fractory AIR. She is a 4 door with Barn doors on the rear. The grille is the same as a CJ3B except with a Mitsubishi logo and instead of turn signals it has a place for the horns.. The hood is the same as a CJ3B except it says JEEP instead of WILLYS. She does need a new paint job but other then that she looks pretty good. Infact she even has the factory plastic still over the bench part of the back seat. As far as we know she is the only 4 door in the United States. Runs and Does need brakes but they will be fixed when you pick her up”

(02/13/2014) This has some minor body and paint issues, but otherwise appears solid.
“Extremely rare 1973 Jeep CJ-6 with half cab hard top and doors for sale. Less than 52,000 original miles. Body is in excellent condition for year of jeep. Paint is fading and will need to be redone if show quality is desired.
The history of the jeep as I know it, is it lived most of its life in California as a forest service vehicle. I purchased it from a guy in Wyoming. Since I purchased it in 2012, I installed a new intake/exhaust manifold gasket, new belt, hoses, spark plug/wires, distributor cap, rotor, e-brake cable, extended brake lines, 4 inch Skyjacker springs, Skyjacker shocks, steering stabilizer shock, 15X8 Wheels (2.5″ backspacing), 33X10.50 BFG KM2 tires, rock sliders (.25″ wall).
Wheelbase: 103 Inches
Rear Diff: Dana 44 — Factory Limited Slip, 3:73 Ratio
Front Diff: Dana 30, 3:73 Ratio
Engine: 232 ci I-6
Transmission: 3 speed manual
Transfer Case: Dana 20
Mileage at time of posting: 51,445”

“I have an unrestored 1942 Military Early Flat grill Willy’s (MB) for sale. The first 25,000 MB’s had these flat steel grills. It wears a cosmetic restoration with many decent parts on the jeep and is a nice 25 footer, but is not a restored vehicle. Good original 1942 MB restorable body. Will need correct floors and other items to make a fully functional original World War Two MB. It is complete, the engine is free and looks like making it run should be not a major effort, I bought it to swap out the GPW Ford parts on it, for my GPW. I did replace with 1942 Willy’s MB parts where needed. I will provide a notarized “bill of sale”, I bought last fall and do not intend on restoring this vehicle, I have my hands full with my other jeeps and my small ranch. It is as restorable jeep, but does need TLC. I am currently eliminating many of my project cars I will never finish. I have other vehicles for sale. These are current just taken pictures, please ignore that date on the pictures.”

“Selling my 1954 Jeep Willy’s Military issue vehicle. All original. This is a rare 24 volt communications jeep. The odometer shows about 30k miles. Color is the standard military green. Includes complete canvas soft top. Newer front tires. There are all the gadgets like a fuel can and ax and spare tire strapped near the back and a shovel under the hood. Front tires are new. “This is a real head-turner. 1950 Willy’s Jeep, restored “original correct” — all original stock, no major mods. True Colorado vehicle that spent most of its life in Glenwood Springs, CO, before relocating to Evergreen, CO. The engine has not been rebuilt (just body & upholstery resto – including back seat) but it starts easy, runs clean and does not burn oil. Perfect for cruising around town on date night, but don’t plan any long trips on I-70 unless you are towing it, or retired. Odometer reads 62,149. Clean title, and everything works except the gas gauge. Soft top & tow bar included. Always garaged since restoration.

“1945 Ford GPW Military Jeep similar to MB or Willys
This is a great old jeep and has lots of history. I purchased it 10 years ago from a man who got it from his uncle but had no interest. I drove this thing everywhere from the north coast, the central valley, foothills, to the Nevada desert… Just very slowly… And it turns heads everywhere I drive it!
I would love to see this GPW go to someone who is interested in restoring or at least leaving it in its semi-stock form. These rigs are becoming increasingly more difficult to find and this is a numbers matching GPW (frame, body, engine) that has a solid engine and decent body. It is certainly not perfect but also would not take much to turn it into a nice restoration or a fun weekend driver.
