Many thanks to Glenn Byron for sending me a box of documents to share with everyone. Some of the docs, like the one below, are copies made for Glenn by Dave Antram. So, thanks to Dave as well. This is Volume four, Issue number 1.
This was listed on eBay, but didn’t sell. The form number is DM59-9 and the calendar matches the year 1960 (including that year’s leap year). This can also be made into a mobile.

This brochure doubled as a dealer poster. When unfolded it measures 22″ x 17″. The brochure is dated 1961, which was several years before the company introduced it’s Orrville produced hardtops.

The Jeep Corporation General Products Division eventually became AM General. This 1970 brochure showcases a variety of vehicles offered, but also included a brief history, including a few diagrams of FJs. However, they mislabeled an FJ-3 as an FJ-3A. Also, it’s nice to see the difference between an FJ-6 and an FJ-6A.

UPDATE (Originally posted in Feb 2020): I’ve combined multiple Hotchkiss brochures into one post, along with some better pics.
1. This first brochure might be the earliest? I only have the front page. It was posted to eBay back in 2020:
“A rare original Hotchkiss Willys Jeep brochure undated c1950’s with French text. Brochure is very small format 4pp fold out illus in line drawings, no photos and is in very good condition.”
2. This Hotchkiss CJ-3B brochure appears to have been made in coordination with the Willys-Overland Export company, as some of the imagery and design is similar. Given the CJ-3B was considered the “New Jeep”, I’d say this brochure must have been published in 1953. Note the engine.
Below is the French version of the brochure, which is on eBay. The one below that is one from my collection.
3. Now, compare the one above to the one below. As you can see, there are similarities and differences:
Based on the grille, I’m guessing this one is from 1951. Is there any other advertising describing the truck as a “Jumbo pick-up”?

This rarely available postcard popped up on eBay the other day. Given the grilles on the wagon and truck, plus the FC-170 pictured, I’d say this is a late 1957 postcard.

“ITEM: c1950 Jeep “PARTS” – Original Car Dealer Sales Brochure / Card
DIMENSIONS: About 8 x 5 inches having 1 pages.”
I snagged this rare 40+ page brochure off of eBay. I am guessing that this was printed before the FC-170 was introduced in the summer of 1957, because the FC-170 page was a drop in page without a page number.
One aspect of this I found interesting was that the brochure leads off with the CJ-3B, which wasn’t something happening in the US domestic brochures, where the CJ-5 was more likely to be published first. Also, the last page shows an “Authorized Service & Genuine Parks logo I can’t remember seeing on brochures or signs.
Finally, these scans aren’t quite as nice as others I have done. The scanning app I was using was forcing me to begin paying a monthly fee of $10/mo and I wasn’t interested in doing that, so I’ve been experimenting with other scanning apps, but having found anything that thrills me yet.
I accomplished a good deal of wiring yesterday, with more to do. We got a 7-day heatwave (+100 temps) coming in a couple of days, so I’m going to try to get as much done as I can before the shop is too warm.
I won this service station brochure off of ebay. I’d never seen another one. The folded brochure measures 11″x4.5″, then folds out to 22″x17″. The Form Number is SF-11-57-X.

The seller wants $40 (plus shipping) for this beat up four-page brochure, but it does seem a rare one. Given the included picture of the pen, I’d say this is about 8.5 x 11 when unfolded fully.

This brochure has a form number of CJ3A-M1-250M-9-49, which seems to indicate it was published in September of 1949. Some of the art for this brochure was completed a year and a half earlier for a newspaper ad (see bottom of post).

This 22 page brochure is something I found on a non-ebay auction. I had to buy it with some other stuff I already had, but I couldn’t pass up this rare (perhaps 1-of-a-kind) brochure. I hope it helps someone down the line.

This really neat color slide documents a Setaro’s Willys Motors Billboard ad. The only issue I see is the price of $79.99! Setaros was in New Haven, CT. I’ve included an ad published in the Yale Daily News Newspaper from January 13, 1948.

This brochure from Canada is from CS 5-57X. There was a US domestic form CS 5-57, but it was very different.

This Canadian version of Form No. 59-03 highlights the “Maverick” model, while the US Domestic version did not (see example at bottom).

“This sign is an awesome addition for any man cave. This sign hung in the Scherba’s Auto Parts Store on 32nd and Taraval Streets in San Francisco’s Sunset District for years before the store closed (currently the store is an O’Reilly’s). The sign is made from wood and is roughly 8 feet long and 4 feet wide.
This features a WWII era Jeep and the words “Military Jeep 1944” below the graphic. The price above is my “I don’t want to sell it” price so low ball offers will just be ignored.
I’m also open to trades of 50’s & 60’s porcelain automotive signs, Jeep grills, or street legal dirt bikes.”
I won this rare brochure off of eBay last week. I’ve never seen another one. Wagons, DJ-3As and FCs dominate the photos.

I won a HiBid online auction yesterday that included this Mobile Drilling Inc., operation and parts booklet. I am hoping this proves an interesting document!
This was included in an odd assortment of jeep and non-jeep docs.
This truck brochure from Canada caught my eye on eBay, because it labeled the truck as a 2WD DJ-226. I suspect the brochure is from about 1960.

I purchased this Japanese Formula Desert Dog brochure. I thought it was interesting that both solid and outlined version of the tires were offered simultaneously. I’ll update the pics when I receive the brochure.
Here are three Willys Overland Export Corporation mailers in Spanish distributed in Ecuador. The look to be printed around 1960 given the blue ‘Jeep’ dot and the single-pane willys wagon. These are priced at $18.00 and are pretty rare.
Sadly, I lost this auction, mostly because I was busy with Ann’s newest raised bed garden (almost finished). Anyway, it appears a bidding war boosted this rare issue to $40 and change. Thankfully, the seller published photos of all the pages.
This issue contains a little mini brochure in the middle titled “Used Car Salesbuilder, a Common Sense Review”, which might have been related to the 1950 ongoing “Willys Makes Sense” ad campaign.
Note the ad for what looks-to-be an Al-toy wagon on the last page.
