This Ad was photographed at an angle. I did my best to correct it in Photoshop.
I knew nothing about QSL Cards. Turns out there are a variety of collectors and a variety of cards to collect, including some with jeeps. Here are a few.
I’m not sure how to classify this this unusual item. This bag shows appears to show Smokey driving a jeep.
“Vintage 1960’s Smokey The Bear Litter Bag. 1960’s, 9” x 12”, pictures full figure Smokey driving a Jeep, from Nevada’
Here are a couple items that mix jeeps and Coke. The ad is supposed to be original, while the sign is a reproduction.

2. Sign with a scene from Italy (reproduction)
UPDATE: I found some pictures of the Wild Country box.
I had seen the first avon decanter but hadn’t seen the others. There is also supposed to be a CJ-7 decanter, but I didn’t find any pics of it.

3. Avon Renegade Jeep Decanter
4. Beam Jeep Decanter
Here’s a Fleet Van ad from the April 12, 1963, issue of the Lakeland Ledger.

This is a press release from July 11, 1957, announcing the FC-170. It contains four pages and is printed on 8.5×11″ paper.
Here are two separate listings for jeeps in French.

The box is priced at $24.95, but priceless for the right collector.
“This auction is for VINTAGE ORIGINAL 1970 TONKA JEEP WRECKER & PLOW No.2435 EMPTY BOX. The box is in very good condition considering her age (see pic and judge yourself). All complete no missing flap. Perfect for display.”
Steve alerted me to this magazine. Has anyone else seen other copies of this magazine?
“original factory magazine , 8.5 x 11 , 16 pages , this is the July August 1955 issue of Willys Globe Trotter factory magazine . It was printed by the Willys Jeep Export Division , it shows dozens of Jeep vehicles around the world and has an interesting 2 page article on the atomic test in Nevada in 1955 and the many Jeeps that were used after the test .”
UPDATE: The CJ3B Page has a color picture showing the jeep vehicles painted Gold for this display along with more information about the Hong Kong show.

Originally published December 25, 2009: Bruce provided me with these fascinating documents regarding the October 15-23, 1960, auto show. There are two interesting aspects to this press release:
You can see a copy of the press release below:
Here’s another version of the event:
Article from late 1960 that includes a reference to black and gold vehicles from the November 22, 1960, issue of the Spokesman Review.
This is a deadstock hat that was never worn. It was a sales promotional cap for a Langley BC Jeep Dealer.
Here’s a vintage sign that is only at $9.99 with less than a day left.
“Great porcelain sign from Willys…measures 13 1/2″ across and in pretty nice condition, considering……take a look and see if you need this one for the garage wall! Sold with no reserve. $14.85 priority mail shipping on this heavy sign.”
I wish this were in better focus. Neat ad.
“Up for Auction we have this ORIGINAL 1948 UNIVERSAL ‘JEEP’ AD. Approx. 10 1/4X13 1/2″. A nice clean ad, in excellent condition, suitable for framing. Carefully shipped with backer board”
This ad is supposed to be from 1947, probably published in Quebec (as the seller is from Quebec).
The cover on this mailer (of a pig behind a tiny tree) is unusual. I am guessing this strategy didn’t work as I haven’t ran into pigs in other willys/jeep brochures.
“Here we have an auction for a nice original factory dealership sales brochure. This is an original print (not a reproduction or later made piece) This is an original piece as handed out at the dealerships when the models were new. It is in great condition with no rips, stains, tears or loose pages.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
I did some searches for Einar Lodahl, but only found an arena in Gilette named for him.
“Up for bids a 1 1/2″x 4” empty front striker matchbook from a 1950s Era Texaco Gas service station in Gillette, Wyoming and Jeep-Willys car dealer that used Havoline Motor Oil too-The RWB matchbook reads: “Hi-Way Service Willys-Jeeps Einar Lodahl Gillette, Wyoming” on front and pictures a can of Havoline motor oil with slogan: “Best Motor Oil your money can buy! Havoline Motor Oil Wear-Proofs Engines for longer life” on back-Inside is blank-Striker intact-Nice vintage item with only light wear.”
This is an interesting ad that uses the jeep in co-promotion with W/O’s automobiles. The Jeep in the ad appears to be a Slat Grille. I wish the seller had mentioned the date of the newspaper, too.
“This is a SMALL size 1941 (it is close to 4″ X 4″) newspaper ad with paper toning.”
This brochure is at a good price.
“Late 1950’s Watson Towboy sales brochure. Size is 8.5 x 11 opening to 17 x 11. Light wear.”
Based on this brochure, getting more profits doesn’t sound too difficult.
“Original dealer’s part color folder , 8.5 x 11 folded , 17 x 11 unfolded , no cars shown .”
Nothing sells a Dictograph like a Willys Jeep?
