“This Willys was owned by same family for most of its life. I am first owner that is a non-family member.
The jeep starts, runs, drives and stops.
It has the following features –
Ford small block V8 – 221 bored to 233 cu.in.
Original transmission and transfer case with PTO
Ramsey winch with PTO drive – Works!
Meyer metal half cab
Lock out hubs
New fuel tank
New speedometer
Includes extra set of 14″ Jeep wheels from DJ3A postal jeep.
I have a clear title in hand.
It would need tail light and wiper work to be street legal.”

Jay spotted this one. Listed as a 1943 Military Jeep, this looks to me more like an early CJ-2A.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
Seller is overseas and the title is in SC, while jeep is in VA.
“I bought this old jeep around a year ago to restore it but don’t have the time or money so it’s for sale.
It is a 1948 Willys CJ2A. This jeep is solid to be as old as it is. It is all original and needs to be brought back to life. I believe the engine can be rebuilt because it is not seized.
This jeep is defiantly a project vehicle and requires a lot of work, but it’s solid enough to be brought back to life, and again I don’t have the time but I am not giving it away so please make a reasonable offer. your starting point is $3000, but I will work with someone if you are interested.
I have the title but am currently over seas and will be returning in a couple of months. If you are interested in the jeep and would like to see it, It is located at my father’s house and he would be more than glad to get it out of his drive way so stopping by to see it won’t be an issue. Please email any questions.
Also please note what I mentioned above, that I am over seas. The title is in Myrtle beach, I am over seas, and the jeep is in VA, so I will address any inquires or questions through email and respond as soon as possible.”
UPDATE: Now on eBay
“You’re looking at a ground-up restoration of a classic Jeep Willys CJ-2 “Alpha”. Restoration was finished in mid-2013.
I spared nothing in this rebuild. I have been a Willys fan all my life, and I wanted this to be right down to every last detail. This project took months and became quite involved.
The rebuild includes:
* Fully rebuilt engine and transmission
* Completely new clutch assembly
* New brakes, drums and brake lines
* New springs (front and rear)
* New gas tank
* New gauges and wiring
* New front seats and steering wheel
* New rims and tires
* New paint
Mechanically, it’s flawless. Drives perfectly and true to its heritage. Power plant is the stock Willys 2.2L “134” 4-cylinder, and transmission is the famous Willys 3-speed, which is reliable and bulletproof in its simplicity. Only ~200 miles on rebuild.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
It’s a project.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500
“I do not have the time to finish rebuilding my 46 jeep so I am selling it. This jeep has been completely taken apart for a frame off restoration. The body was shot so I had a new heavy guage body custom bent and cut out. The floor pan is 11 gauge steel and the rest of the body panels are 16 gauge steel. I sandblasted the entire frame inside and out. It has 3 coats of rustoleum primer with 3 coats of rustoleum black paint. The new body panels are bare metal and not rusted. I have several original body parts such as windshield, hood, firewall, grille, tailgate and front fenders. I have 2 complete hurricane 4cyl. motors. One motor has a bad cylinder. Neither one has run for over 10 years as this jeep was stored in a garage since the 60’s. I have extra complete front and rear axles with leaf springs also. I will not part out any parts except the extra axles. This jeep is currently stripped down to the frame and ready to start reassembly. This is mainly a package deal. Please call with any questions. Cash only.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2600. It’s a column shift with tool indents.
“My husband kept this Willys Jeep around for many years in hopes of one day getting around to restoring it. Unfortunately, he recently passed away and never got the opportunity. We are clearing out some items of the estate and have decided to list this for sale.

(06/23/2015) ‘If you look at it, you have to buy it?’ That’s a good way to discourage potential buyers.
“1946 CJ-2A Willys Jeep with windshield. Ran great a couple of years ago. Now water is getting into the oil. Either bad head gasket or cracked block. Hopefully bad head gasket. Good ranch vehicle. Probably to much work to turn into a show piece. Buy as is. Located east of Fredericksburg. If you look at it you have to buy it. Will be around till Wednesday afternoon, after Wed will remove the add.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500
(06/28/2013) One rough jeep and other parts.
“1948 jeep willys cj2a. ran about 3 years ago but has been parked since. Chevy small block. tons of extras almost enough to make a second jeep including:
*some parts are military*
New windshield
New padding and upholstery for seats
tub (blue in picture) existing one has some rust
frame
2 grills”
This has the tool indents, column shift, and the squared bolts for the bow holders, but lacks the full floaters it should have if it is a ’45. Maybe the rear end was replaced?
“1945 willys CJ2A VEC “Very Early civilian” only 1400 of these one of a kind jeep where built. These came with military jeep bodies. But some early changes by willys. One change being they came with a column shift!! 3 on the tree. Jeep runs and drives great!! just jump in it and go! This is a great little jeep. I drive it all the time for fun. also comes with tow bar and spare parts Current reg. and pink in hand! drive it home. price is 7000 obo. dont ask to trade unless you have another military vehicle or are a tire kicker.”
This might be a good northwest road/trail jeep at a fine price.
“Willys CJ2A Jeep, 4X4, 302 V8, 4 speed top loader, power steering, disc brakes on front, top and doors included, runs great, collector license plate”
It is listed as a 1945, but doesn’t seem to be that.

The body has some unusual mods.
“Hello, you are looking at a nice little 1946 Jeep Willys CJ2A. It has had a body off restoration. The whole body has been treated with Rhino Lining,Top and Bottom – forever tough.I’m selling this for a good friend of mine.He has had it for about five years,and only uses it for a yearly parade in Rossville IL. It lives it the garage the rest of the time. lol. It has the original motor and transmission. I started it right up to pull it out of the garage for the pictures.The speedometer doesn’t work. Brakes and clutch felt a little soft,but worked good. It comes with a BRAND NEW soft top, Never installed (see pictures).It is for sale locally, so may end auction at any time.”
