Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1946 cj2a engine is rebuilt with new cam and lifters, bored with new pistons, crank was turned,valves regroups and everything else that goes with a rebuild. I got this out of a clean dry garage where it had been since 1981. I have all the parts to put it back together that are not in pics. Radiator, generator, starter, carb , full exhaust some of it is new. My next move was to do brakes and engine components. This Jeep has a rare Sears and Roebuck hardtop kit from the 60sinstalled on it. I have two extra engines and some other parts that I will sell after the Jeep goes. Price is $6500. Send me your number and I will call. I’m willing to get as many pictures as you want for serious buyers. “

This one might have a Beck or Kelly half cab with an extension added on to cover the remainder of the tub. Looks to be an ex-service station jeep.

“I picked this up from the family who had owned it since 1957. It appears to be very original, converted to 12 volt electrical, I welded in a lot of new metal on the exterior of the tub, I replaced the floor pans and the hat channels as well, new fuel line and tank, new brake lines and wheel cylinders too. New exhaust as well, I have had it running on carb cleaner…sounds good…no smoke either…it will need tires…bring a trailer”

The good it runs and drives fine, seats are good, tailgate is great which is a big deal, wheels and tires are good, clutch feels good, signals and lights all work, glass is not cracked, floor boards are solid. “Willys with a plow. I plowed with it sparingly for a few years. Has sat since 2020 but ran when parked. Has a 70s Chrysler v6 in it and original transfer case and transmission. All 4 wheels are locked when in 4 low. Will crawl over anything. Goes about 40 mph max downhill. Has roll cage and nice but dirty interior. I spent almost 3k getting the brakes switched over to pneumatic and wheel spacers on the front. Give me an offer! Comes with extra transfer case for parts.”

Jeep Collectors, there aren’t to many of these still around. This is the older version of the trencher. PTO driven mounted on the jeep. Trencher is in relatively good shape. Frame on the jeep seems good. Transmission and transfer case were removed to replace the clutch but not reinstalled. Selling for my neighbor “he will be present at sale”. His father removed the grill and Radiator at some time also. All removed parts are still on hand. Engine condition unknown, it still has the governor mounted on it. This Seffes Auctioneers estate auction is for the Ken Yuly Military Vehicle collection. There are quite a few different jeep vehicles. There are MBs, GPWs, M-151s, M-170s, M-38s, M-274s, CJ-2A, trailers, parts, military Dodges, and more.
Andy spotted this modified and stretched CJ-2A. It does not look to me to be a 2L.

“46 Willys project, complete new body with new Tub, fenders, hood, window frame, tailgate, seat frames (fronts and rear), orig front grille, new leaf springs with new U hangar bolts, front and rear axles, several new brake parts, 46 frame that was sandblasted and powder coated. This appears to be solid, but the hood is tweaked and some gas may have stained the paint. No description provided.

“Its not a $1 its make an offer. I started at 2K so be realistic. I was planning on making a gpw looking jeep tub on a modern frame. Orange tub is fiberglass and it’s gonna take some time to bond the sides back to the floor, but its fiberglass, hood and fenders are fiberglass too. The metal tub is a 46 has the side cut outs for shovel and ax its rusty and crusty. The clutch pedals and master cylinder and a few other thing are need to xfer over to the glass body. What you see is what you get, I can load it onto your trailer etc. This is all the jeep parts I am selling, if its listed then its still for sale. I am in Fredericksburg Va. 22405”
