This fun looking VW bus popped up on my searches because it is belng sold by Willy. So, I figured I’d share it. It reminded me of a tour-jeep.
“1973 VW Beach Bus! Fully restored, Lots of fun to drive, beefed up new engine. A true head turner. Clean Blue TX Title. Serious inquiries only.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000
(10/04/2014) Looks like a good price.
“Ultra Rare J20C / CJ3B Hardtop Jeep made by Mitsubishi in Japan.
This Jeep was imported about 6 years ago. California title currently non-op.
1974, no smog test required.
4 Cylinder engine is almost identical to the Willys F head engine, many parts
interchange. New paint, new headliner, seats recovered.
3 speed column shift, RIGHT HAND DRIVE.
4 wheel drive works perfect.
Very rare even in Japan.
Compare to all the other jeeps for sale on craigslist, this jeep is not a pile of junk.”
Still needs the steering and brakes finished.
“1942 Willys Jeep 4×4 3spd in decent condition lifted onto Rockwell 5 Ton Axles, 11.00×20 tires, small block Chevy engine
-the jeep does has a clean “rebuilt” New Mexico title
-will need tie rod and steering arm to complete the project along with differential brakes
****Any reasonable offer will be considered, I’m moving and cant take the project with me so I would be most interested in trades for firearms, ATV’s and of course cash”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
“Most parts interchange with Willys CJ-3B, the Mahindra CJ-540P 4WD is an updated, long wheel-base version of the 1950’s Willy’s CJ-3B design that was built under license by Mahindra in India from the 1950’s until 2011. Although it is a few inches longer than an original CJ-3B, it is still a 2-door, flat-fender model (only has a little more legroom than the original front and back seat layouts). This Jeep is a 1990 model, free title, licensed in Louisiana, unrestored, no rust, NEEDS A TUNE-UP but it runs-stops-drives, 4cl willys hurricane engine, 2 speed transfer case. Need to see – Mahindra did update some of the CJ-3B stuff such as it now has a hydraulic clutch, 3-point seat belts (front only), turn signals, and other MINOR updates/improvements over the 1950’s vintage Willys design. Otherwise, it’s like they were built back in the 50’s! See pics – this vehicle is in very good un-restored condition.”
Bob spotted this high-end ‘jeep’, that is so high end the name ‘jeep’ doesn’t appear anywhere in its description. I think it’s hilarious that the web page includes the ability to add the jeep to a shopping cart of items. Clearly, I am not among Filson’s demographics, because it is a Seattle company that I’ve never heard of.

(07/28/2014) This is back up for ‘possible’ sale. It’s an unusual build. It’s listed as a ‘1948 willys jeep m38’.
“I was posting some other items and thought I would post this vehicle and test the waters. I’m not really wanting to sell this just got it up and running. It is tagged road legal (barely) It always draws attention and looks. It is a reproduction m38 willys flat fender tub. sitting on a 1978 ford bronco frame that has been bobbed. There is a 6 inch rancho lift with 35″ tires. The engine is a 1976 ford 400 big block! the motor weighs almost as much as the tub! It is a beast sounds good and runs great. It has a hydro boost brake booster. The hood was raised two inches and the nose was stretched about 8 inches to accommodate the motor, nice 4 core radiator, doesn’t get hot. Full roll cage attached to the frame. 5 point harnesses. It does have a heater and a manual wiper on driver side. New windshield that can tilt out. Painless wiring box. All new wiring. lights work. There is a locker in the rear, not sure on the gear ratio. the 4×4 works. It has a c6 transmission with b&m shifter. I believe I know what this is worth and I know what I have put into it. I’m very curious what someone else would be willing to offer for it. Please no low ballers I know it is worth more than a “plane jane” wrangler so don’t make offers less than that! If you are looking for a one of kind rock crawler that is street legal this is it! It is not a show vehicle it has just enough patina & roughness that makes it look good and you don’t mind taking it off road. Yet, it still looks good at the local drive in too!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000
(03/06/2014) This CJ-10 has been kept in good shape.
“Selling a Willy’s Jeep C-10a Custom Spray Rig. You will not find one like this, one of a kind. This is a CJ10a tug with less than 3000 total produced. It came from factory with a ¾ ton front axle and a 1 ton rear axle. It has a great running six cylinder Nissan Diesel Engine (from factory) with a 727 Heavy Duty Automatic Transmission. This was originally an small and light airplane tow truck. We added a heavy duty bed, diamond plate, front weight, Schaben spray unit with a 5 HP Honda motor. Has all electric actuators to raise, lower, and adjust the spray booms. Currently has (2) broadcast nozzles in the rear, spray wand, and all electric controls and gauges inside. Sets on nice flotation tires that have a great amount of tread. Too much too list.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6200.
Here’s a rare Gaz.
“Antique Russian military Army Jeep 4×4 3 speed 4 cylinder. Unrestored and complete. Does not run but engine turns over. Parts readily available and have contacts. I currently own three and drive one that has been restored. These jeeps are very simple and unique. There are very few in the US. call with any questions. This vehicle needs a total restoration and will only come with a bill of sale”
This runs. I haven’t followed prices on these too closely, but it seems like a good price.
“Everything works. Carb. could use some work.”
Here’s a very rare photo of the 1/2 ton MLW-2, built by Willys-Overland to carry six men in the rear and two in the front. Only two prototypes were built and there whereabouts are unknown (to the Mark Askew’s knowledge).
Learn more about them here: http://www.milweb.net/features/willys_jeep.php
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was auctioned.
Buz spotted this unusual Ford Bronco that was used by the Glen Alpine police department.
“Vehicle Starts/Runs/Drives, Inline 6 Cylinder Engine, 3 Speed Column Shift, Four Wheel Drive (4×4), All Original, Doors and Top are not original to this vehicle but are period correct. The vehicle originally was used as a parade vehicle, then was converted to be used for the Dare Program. Quarter Panels are clean, seats are original with no tears, floor panels look great. Vehicle is currently sitting outside and is not driven much…very little would need to be done to make this a show vehicle or daily driver.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
An original running Austin Champ? That’s a miracle!
“A rare opportunity to own a piece of motoring history! This is a truly rare truck.
Very original and unrestored austin champ, nice and almost rustfree condition, runs and drive very good without problems.paint is decent but not perfect, complete with softtop, for more info please contact us.
This version of the Champ is built and used an Austin A90 Atlantic motor”
UPDATE: Was listed at $800. Status Unknown.
Eric spotted this rare Austin Gipsy for sale. This was built after the Champ.
“Great car. These were made to compete with the Land Rover and were used by the British military all over the world. This beauty has some rust issues in the rocker area. The rest of the car is pretty good. The only major dent is from an old elephant hit years ago. The motor is complete and turns by hand. The carb needs to be rebuilt – I have the kit. I also have some points, etc, and a service book. No gas tank or exhaust system. It has sat for many years. One of my plans was to place the body on a Jeep chassis. The tires hold air!!! Look at the pictures. I am serious about selling and am only looking to get $800.00”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1400.
Here’s an unusual ‘jeep’.
“Cool little jeep replica,needs a good home.I don’t have a need for it anymore.Runs and drives,but could use a little TLC.Call”
Glenn forwarded Eric Walton’s CJ-8 Postal Jeep stories and links website. According to Eric, there were only 230 of these specially made 1984 Scrambler CJ-8 Postal Jeeps produced. As of a few years ago, he estimated that at most 200 remained. You can view a detailed serial number list at jeepheads.com: http://www.jeephead.com/1984_cj8s.htm
Check out Eric’s site here: http://www.kateanderic.com/postal/postalmain.html
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $700.
Here’s another CJ-8 Alaskan Mail Jeep. This is obviously a project.
“clip from wikipedia:
“A full length steel hardtop CJ-8 was made for the Alaskan Postal Service, using right hand drive and automatic transmissions. Instead of the rear tailgate, the steel hardtop utilized a hinged barn door opening to the back. There were only 230 produced and sold in the U.S. It was also widely sold in Venezuela and Australia as the CJ8 Overlander, with small differences including full length rear windows on the Overlander.[38] Steel hardtops used on these postal Scramblers and Overlanders were known as “World Cab” tops.[39]”
If you’re interested, text or call me and we’ll go from there.
Yeah its rough and its got “a” motor inside the jeep, just not sure what it is and what all it has. You just need to come look at it. And I need it gone.
And I picked a random year because I’m not even sure what it is. No title, buy as is.”
Seller mentions he has a 1942 GPW for sale as well.
“Selling my 1941 dodge command car 1/2 ton. Runs, looks good, very rare radio model

“1981 Jeep Scrambler CJ8, 6 Cylinder, 4×4, 111K original miles, Runs great. Must see. Have Truck hard top and hard doors for it.. They need new seals and the soft top on it needs to be replaced. “
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
This popped up during my searches. Looks like an interesting project.
“I am selling the disassembled remains of a real WWII Autocar Halftrack. The rear half that would have once had tank tracks is missing. It comes with the patterns and some 1/4 plate to make replicas of the missing 1/4″ armor. It is missing the flathead 6 cyl engine and transmission. My suggestion is to use it for parts to restore another halftrack, or use the patterns I’ve taken from a WWII White Scout Car to convert it into an armored scout car. The last two photos are so you can see what a restored version of this thing would look like. Keep in mind that its made of simple flat plate and the only body work to be down would be on the front fenders! It comes with about 250 brand new of the very expensive armored bolts that hold the body together.”
