“For Sale 1956 Willys Jeep Flatbed Pickup , Runs good has overdrive and hubs, nice interior, comes with extra box, Nice Jeep.”
With some paint and polish this might be a good truck.
“Selling by auction. 1955 Willys pickup fitted onto a 1972 ford Bronco chassis and running gear. Clear title for 1955 Willys pickup. 302 ford engine with C-4 ford transmission, tramsfer case, and axles. Body is original 1955 Willys pickup. Straight with no rust. Runs great, drives great. Original mileage unknown.”
Craig found these two pics from a 1964 issue of Jeep News.
Guy provided additional information:
“The top picture with the caption underneath “MOUNTAINS IN COLORADO….” would have been taken on the east side of the Garden Of The Gods in Colorado Springs. The shot is looking west. Appears it could have been made from the present site of the Garden Of The Gods Visitor and Nature Center. See this Google Map link: http://goo.gl/maps/alpDj
The area to the west and north of the Garden Of The Gods is where the devastating Waldo Canyon wildfire swept into Colorado Springs last summer.
The Garden Of The Gods is a spectacular sight. Hiking is allowed, but no jeeping.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000
This truck looks solid. It might just need some paint to shine.
“1961 Willy’s Pickup Truck 4 Wheel Drive
Ready to go Inspected.
57,000 Original Miles
Good Condition
New Tires 6 Cylinder 3 Speed”
UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was listed at $2200.
This truck looks like a good foundation for a project. It does not run.
“I have a 1952 willies jeep i inherited from my grandpa. It is currently just sitting because I just graduated high school and don’t have the money to fix it up.
The body is in excellent condition. The interior is okay. It however, does not run.
Getting rid of this is something I am not looking forward to because it was from my grandpa and I would love to be able to keep it. I just do not want to see it sitting wasting away. This is a great project if you’re into old school vehicles.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5500
(01/21/2013) Max is selling his truck.

Looking for something else, I ran across this 1963 J-300 dually with an unusual tale.
“This is a special ordered truck, the only Jeep J300 truck ever configured this way. I purchased this truck with 43,000 miles on it from the original owner, a timber faller, who worked up until he died at 87 years old. The original owner approached his local Jeep dealership requesting a one ton dually Thriftside and was told Jeep didn’t build one. When he told them if Jeep didn’t build one for him he would buy a Ford instead the dealership obtained one for him that had the rear fenders widened to fit the dual tires and a wider rear bumper was fabricated. This truck has OEM power steering, a four speed tranny, 230 CI Tornado motor, 2 bbl carb and an alternator was added. An 8000 pound Ramsey PTO winch is included This truck is registered in the Texas Full size Jeep Association Dually registry check it out here http://www.txfsja.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=354 I reserve the right to end auction early as this vehicle is for sale locally.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
This looks good.
“1949 Willys Overland Pickup 4×4 custom paint and interior, wood bed, GM 231ci w/200R Transmission. This is a must see collector’s truck!”
UPDATE: Still Available
“I have decided to sell my 49 Willys pickup before winter arrives. This little two wheel drive is quite rare and came from Arkansas fairly rust free. We stripped everything down to the frame but did not take the cab off the frame (didn’t have to) and chassis saved the frame. All the mechanicals gone over, new brakes, recored rad, relined gas tank, rebuilt carb and lots of new chrome (front and rear bumper and hood spear ) All new glass from local glass shop and all new rubber for all windows and seals. We pulled the engine (painted head and block) and installed new rings and did lap job on valves. Purrs like a kitten now !!! New clutch and pressure plate with throw out bearing at same time. The king pins and front I beam are great and goes down the road straight as a pin. Brand new 16 inch tires also. Real sharp, professional paint job a couple months ago cost me almost $5000 alone. Professionally recovered original seat also. New aftermarket gauges. We had to put some patches on both floors but were only pin holes to start. Seam sealed patches also. There is very little bondo on this truck !!!!!! There was no rot !!!! Floor start, Interior is all original with the stock door panels, etc. New door handles I could go on and on with all that has been done to this truck. Serious inquires only please, as this is one sharp little truck. It has the three speed on the floor (rare as most were on the column ) I have the original title but not back in my name (haven’t sent in yet) Have another antique plate and title also If interested please email me or you can call me 814-328-2879 This truck and bed and side steps, etc, etc is totally rust free and should not be driven in the winter months. It is THAT nice. It has not been out in the rain since I got it done It’s not perfect, but for someone that really wanted to take it to the next level, you will not find a nicer 49 There is no e-brake hooked up and the heater is not in it (have a nice one to put in that has been recored Please, only serious buyers that really love willys pickups I don’t have internet where I live and have to go to the local library so calling is the best way to reach me thanks.

“WILLYS JEEP TRUCK 4X4 WITH PLOW REGISTERD AND INSPECTED RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD PLOWS GOOD ELECTRIC HYD. CONTROLS 6CYL. SUPER HURRICAN MOTOR 3 SPD TRANS”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
This truck looks good, though it has two different types of rims.
“This auction is for a 1950 4×4 Willys Jeep Pickup. It is in turn key running condition with a transplanted small block ford V8 mated (289) to a 3 speed manual transmission. It has been fully painted (Corvette yellow) from frame up including the interior and engine bay. It has full new interior with Ford explorer seats. all door pannell and custom roof piece done.
Tires are oversize from stock and rims are aftermarket. Has original style spare on drivers side of bed. Wood bed rails custom built and installed. The tail gate has been hand painted with wood effect. All glass in good condtion. The truck has a electric fan for cooling and a new Optima blue top for exellent starting. Cooling system has had radiator fully flushed and pressure tested and new thermostat. Also has new starter and new starter solenoid.
Fires right up on the first turn of the key. Doesnt smoke or anything funny. Front and rear bumpers are in pretty good shape. Over all the truck is pretty straight. If you look in the pictures you will see that the floor in the bed is not perfect and pitted but the actual panels and fenders all over are nice clean and straight.
This truck has the V-Grill. Cab is solid and floors are not rusted. I have the before pictures as well so you can see that it is not just thrown together with bondo and some cheap paint to hide a nightmare. Truck is drove at least once a week so its not just a show pice either. Nevada based truck sot thats a great thing because of our dry desert. This truck definately gets the looks and is only being sold because the owner has a willys wagon and shevy pickup that are taking more of the priority. So it needs to go to make room in the garage. Owner hates to see it go but figures its the smart thing to do. Title is clean and clear with current Nevada registration. Ready to sign it over to its new home.”
This is supposed to ahve the original deck. It looks nice. I can’t tell whose logo is on the size.

Bob’s down in Spanish Fort, Alabama, to photograph the Godaddy.com Bowl on Sunday when Kent State battles Arkansas State. Of all the events at that bowl, I’m thinking the coaches wives got the best gig: lunch at Wintzell’s Oyster House (a good place to eat if Yelp is to be believed). Uh oh, now I’m hungry. Anyway, while down there, Bob spotted this poor old truck at Felix’s Fish Camp (another good place to eat). It appears rooted permanently to the beach. Of course, he thought of us ….
About the truck Bob says, “I looked under the hood and the truck still had the straight 6. Frame was almost rusted in half and the top was gone on the truck. Pretty cool though!’
UPDATE: Was $5500. **SOLD**

“54 Willys Jeep PU Has a 3.8 Buick V6 with low miles, diamond plate flatbed. The rest of the running gear is all stock. Good old jeep. Runs good.”
It looks like this only has surface rust. It might be a solid candidate for restoration.

This is a good looking truck!
“Selling my 1957 Jeep Willys Flatbed Truck that was restored a couple years ago. The truck has been kept in the garage and is in almost mint condition. These are extremely rare trucks and finding one in this shape now days is almost impossible. The truck has only 48,000 original miles and was used to hall hay on a farm in the beginning. It has the 6 cylinder Super Hurricane engine which gives it a little more torque and power then the 4 cylinders. This truck has only been used since restored in car shows and parades. Everything has been kept original with a few cleaner interior updates. The truck run’s like brand new and the 4×4 works perfect. It has always been well taken care of and adult owned/driven. Please let me know if there are anymore pictures you would like to see or might have any questions at all. ”
This runs.
“62 willys truck for sale. hurricane 6cyl. Runs! 4wd. one piece windshield and bigger rear window. extra axles and drivetrain fenders etc. lots of extra parts. torn down for restore. New rockers and floor pans. 323-eight four zero eight.”

Dave spotted this unit. He says the guy has been trying to sell it for a couple years. Dave doesn’t have the seller’s name nor number at the moment, but was able to get some pictures of it.
A thread of gas station pictures forwarded to me by Craig & Colin includes a picture of a service station jeep truck similar to the one from yesterday.
This is a nice looking truck.
“Up for sale is my 1954 Willys pickup. Body work was done prior to my purchase of vehicle, I have won 1st place in parades and car shows.
All gauges have been updated, and original are still in the vehicle, fuel gauge does not work, need new in-tank sensor. All electrical has been replaced (all new wires) and it is now a 12V instead of 6V.
The speedo and odometer did not when I purchased vehicle, but has been fixed so not sure of exact milage. I replaced the motor with another origional hurricane 4(THIS MOTOR WAS USED, UNSURE OF MILAGE OF MOTOR OR VEHICLE) .
Emergency break was completly redone. This jeep has lock out hubs, a big +. This jeep has new interior, with the origional interior push button door release.
Tires and rims are new.”
