This issue of the July 1956 four-page service and parts news introduces the Power-Lok differential upgrade, a dealer installation option. A news item on page three seems a little bit too enthusiastic about the clutch adjustments, as the article claims one in three adjustments leads to a clutch overhaul (and service profits).
Military FC Wrecker and Jeep (plus other toys) eBay
UPDATE: The seller has confirmed the wrecker does have “J E E P” stamped across the front.
Andy shared this FC Wrecker and jeep. It also includes other toys. I would have bought the two jeeps, but don’t want the rest of the toys.
View all the information on eBay
“Assortment of Auburn Rubber Military toys in great condition. The two large toys in the back are Auburn SaftyPlay Jeep and Wrecker.”
1953 CJ-3A/Truck Lanesborough, MA $15,000
Andy shared this custom rig. Listed as a 1953 CJ-3A, it appears the body was formerly a DJ-3A (mostly likely a 1956 based on the 0-8 speedometer). It also has a DJ-3A convertible windshield.

1946 Stretched CJ-2A Eaton Rapids, MI $1000

“Have a 46 Jeep Willy’s truck clean green title know nothing about it comes with plow and pump and brakets for plow it’s got a twin stick pto 4speed transmission with flat head in it I’m selling it all for what the transmission is worth 1000 come get it out of my driveway all tires hold are and rolls good”
1941? Slat Grille MB Tallahassee, FL $3500
This does not have a title, but seller has a 1942 title.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1552191575714082
“Slatgrille Willys jeep, of the roughly 650,000 jeeps made in WWII only the first 26,000 were “slatgrilles” this jeep is rough with a ton of bondo and fiberglass slathered everywhere but the tub is still restorable, I have repaired much worse. It has the original axles, t84 trans and transfer case. From the front crossmember to the rear the frame is very solid but the original front frame horns have been heavily modified and need replacements. The motor is not original and total junk. It comes with a bill of sale. I do have a 1942 title i will throw in. I may trade for a less rare but better condition military or Cj2a project, an M151 project would definitely get my attention. 570 two38 1591.”
1946 CJ-2A Project Summitville, IN $4000
Andy shared this project that includes a new body kit, along with other new parts.

Tom shared this one. It appears to be in excellent shape, but isn’t quite “100%” original. It also does not have a military tub as noted by the seller.

CJ-2A and Fiberglass Body Fredericksburg, VA **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Make Offer.
Unclear how much value is here.
“Its not a $1 its make an offer. I started at 2K so be realistic. I was planning on making a gpw looking jeep tub on a modern frame. Orange tub is fiberglass and it’s gonna take some time to bond the sides back to the floor, but its fiberglass, hood and fenders are fiberglass too. The metal tub is a 46 has the side cut outs for shovel and ax its rusty and crusty. The clutch pedals and master cylinder and a few other thing are need to xfer over to the glass body. What you see is what you get, I can load it onto your trailer etc. This is all the jeep parts I am selling, if its listed then its still for sale. I am in Fredericksburg Va. 22405”
1950s Utility Wagon Brochure From South Africa
Here’s another interesting 4-page brochure (my guess would be circa 1958) made for the South African market that I picked up on eBay.
June 1956 Willys Service and Jeep News
This four page issue notes on page two that June 1956 was “Dent’s out of Fenders” month or, I did you not, “DOOF”!?! I don’t know what to do with that info.
Page three references what may be causing a few DJ-3A noises. One note refers to the “clutch driven disc hub”, which can cause a vibration issues between 33 and 45mph, but I’m not familiar with that part. There are a couple other solutions for particular noises listed.
