The World’s Best Coffee Jeep
Here’s another reason to travel to Colombia. Sebastian’s father spotted this gem.
Sebastian writes, “My dad took these pictures today in Rio Negro, Antioquia, Colombia. I have seen Willys being used for almost everything in Colombia, but I never saw this before, a moving coffee shop. Look all the details, the art on the doors and on the tailgate, the speakers (stereo) on the roof, the coffee machine inside, the ketchup on the side, it has everything! The name displayed on the sides reads “Camperito del Café, lo mejor del mundo”, which roughly means the coffee jeep, the best of this world. No doubt about that.”

Reader Builds: Some Jeeps out of Hawaii
UPDATE: I’m running short of time tonight, so here’s a post from a couple years ago.
Here’s Frank’s flattie and some friends of his who have flatties as well. The picture with multiple jeeps was from a run last October. The next time you are vacationing in Hawaii, keep an eye out for these good looking jeeps.
1946 CJ-2A Richmond, Ca $1800
This looks pretty solid. It doesn’t run at the moment, but sure looks complete.
“This is a mostly original CJ2A that I purchased from a friend for $3,000 about 5 years ago. Body is clean and mostly rust-free, with the exception of the bed, which was rusting and covered with wood slats, which have since rotted out – bed it still intact, just needs work. Original straight 4 engine ran well before storing 4 years ago. I purchased brand new steering wheel and have a gasket set and 6 wheels/tires from a Willys pickup that will all be included. This is a classic post-war jeep (first civilian model) that would be a great restoration project or crawler project for anyone who has a little time/interest and know how. I’d like to keep it, but my wife is tired of looking at it. Can be towed or trailered (has tow rig on front).”
1948 CJ-2A Milton, Vt $5850
Not exactly stock, but looks in good condition.
“A VERY NICE 1948 WILLYS JEEP. AFTER 20 YEARS, IT’S TIME FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO ENJOY AND CARE FOR THIS LITTLE RED JEEP. NOT A RESTORATION, JUST A VERY NICE PIECE OF USABLE AND DRIVEABLE HISTORY FOR NOT A LOT OF MONEY. THIS JEEP IS EVERY BIT AS NICE IN PERSON AS IT APPEARS TO BE IN THE PHOTOS. CALL GREG DAYS AT 802-893-4316”
1950 Truck Morgantown, WV **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
This is a nice looking truck.
“This is a 1950 Willys Truck.I purchased this truck for my son back in 11-27-90.He was 16 and I thought he would like it .The problem was he didn’t have enough room for all his friends so he ended up using the family car anyway. When I purchased it was already changed to an automatic transmission and had a flat head six and the four wheel drive was not connected. The truck was red when I bought it but the paint was dull so I had it repainted.I also had the tailgate redone and installed diamond plate in the bed.I replaced some glass on the some of the windows that were cracked. The mileage on the title dated 12-4-1990 was 63,857 and the current mileage is 64,583.the truck has only been driven 726 miles in 21 years. Most of the time I would take it out of the garage to clean and wax it.This truck has been garage kept all those years.I have not started the truck in about five years so it will have to be towed.I have all the receipts to verify everything that’s been done to it.The interior is in good shape with some metal nicks but the seat has no tears but is very dusty. The Tires are OK but being that the truck has been sitting around they would need replaced along with the chrome rims. This could be a nice truck maybe to put a small V-8 and a 3 speed transmission.”

Unusual Willys Bugish thing from Cuba
Ori forwarded me this image take by Danny Koro during a visit to Cuba. You can see the ‘Willys’ stamp on the hood, which indicates the hood has been trimmed. It sure is unusual. You can see more info about the post here: http://www.carsforum.co.il/vb/showthread.php?t=372206
