Hank’s Dual Wheel Adapters

UPDATE: I have not heard from Hank in a while. Unless I hear otherwise, I don’t believe he’s got these for sale. This is informational only at this point.

Hank created these at his shop. He writes, “Thought I would show everyone my dual wheel adapters that I made at our shop. I got the dimensions from a friend that had a pair and sold them. They fit the front and rear and they have right and left thread lug nuts.May not be original but they are twice as strong, will do the job and don’t look half bad.”

Vic Hickey’s Supercharged Flathead from Car Craft Magazine

There’s an interesting article about Vic Hickey’s supercharged flat fender in the February 1955 issue of Car Craft Magazine. The cover shows a great color photo of the supercharger. Using a GMC Supercharger, the Vic made a variety of changes to deal with issues related to the installation.

Looking for something else, I ran across this 1963 J-300 dually with an unusual tale.

“This is a special ordered truck, the only Jeep J300 truck ever configured this way. I purchased this truck with 43,000 miles on it from the original owner, a timber faller, who worked up until he died at 87 years old. The original owner approached his local Jeep dealership requesting a one ton dually Thriftside and was told Jeep didn’t build one. When he told them if Jeep didn’t build one for him he would buy a Ford instead the dealership obtained one for him that had the rear fenders widened to fit the dual tires and a wider rear bumper was fabricated. This truck has OEM power steering, a four speed tranny, 230 CI Tornado motor, 2 bbl carb and an alternator was added. 1958 CJ-5 Trencher Barnhart, MO $6500

This runs and drives with an operating trencher and sports duallies.

“1958 CJ 5 Willys Jeep with a trencher attachment that was factory made for jeeps back before the industry started making trenchers for smaller jobs.

Back then it was either a shovel and pick or large diggers. This trencher fit the bill for the smaller jobs.

This unit is in complete working order and runs great. The odometer reads 4400 miles and I believe it.

The Huricane-4 motor runs smooth and does not smoke.

Also has duals on the back that are made for jeep and never seen one of these with a cab.

the floors are rusting and will need work the rest of the jeep has its
spots but where it counts under neath it has surface rust but the truck
is amazing and runs great the Backhoe works and digs great the jeep also has
down riggers that lift the back end up of the ground and the front has a Dozzer/
backfill blade mounted with a shoulder mount

The Jeep is located in Biddeford Maine and very close to I95
storage is not a problem and will provide any help needed
