Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “eep Half Cab, came off of an early Willys CJ5. A fine example of an early Koenig cab. Great shape, complete, minimal surface rust. Windows go up and down. Left window cracked. No drill holes in roof. Model number unknown. I have the missing left door flange, top piece, the spot-weld just cracked off. As you can see it doesn’t fit my CJ3A, but I don’t want to chop this nice top up!”
UPDATE: This sold in only a day. It was listed at $4000. Looks like it has a Kelly half cab.

In the meantime, Bill shared this video by Nick. In it, he obtains a ran-when-parked jeep, only to discover that a ‘2-hour’ repair job took a little longer than he planned. This is always the danger of a ran-when-parked jeep. Note that this has a rare Worman half-cab.

It’s not clear to me whether this was part of a fire department or just made to look like that. The seller is firefighter.

“I’m a firefighter and it’s time to sell my “fleet”. The fire trucks have been sold but this 1947 Willys is a solid runner. Top and bottom of original engine has been rebuilt. New radiator installed last September. Has Warn hubs and like new Toyo tires. In addition to four wheel drive the overdrive allows you to drive comfortably at 50-55 mph, Tow bar will be included. Emergency lights have been removed.”
This is an interesting half-top. I suspect it’s a nicely done custom creation.

(12/15/2020) This looks to be a GPW body on a CJ (Possible 1953 CJ-3A or CJ-3B) chassis. There’s no engine. The cowl modification is unusual, but I’d say the steering setup is especially unusual!

Based on the pics, it seems both of these vehicles are included? The ex-service station red one with the sears half-cab is definitely included. There could be value here.
“1947/1948 willys cj2a project 99% original and complete. Functional before disassembly. Was originally a Standard gas service vehicle from big timber. plenty of extras. Engine is a L134 go devil (ww2 gpw) runs and supposedly fresh rebuild. Start of PTO front and rear. Extras: axles, tranny and t case, 5 tires and wheels, fenders, grill, guages, gas tanks, window, hood, heater, generator, steering etc etc New hat channel, most rust has been replaced with fresh steel. Needs: some more body work Springs, wiring and some break work. 1500 OBO or trade.”

Looks like a Koenig hardtop for a CJ-5 or M-38A1.
“The cab is solid on top and sides the rear of the cab has rust , the doors are both there as shown and are not rusted and the hinges work too glass is good in the doors and the 3 cab windows. The roof and front header are solid the 2 posts, that the doors mt to are ok, just screw or braze them onto the roof and screw them to the sides of the fender.”
This looks like one of the lengthen CJ-2As out of the Spokane area.

Turbo 400 trans w: ultra bell housing, dana300 transfer case. Model 20 rear axel , Dana front axel. Nice interior, am/fm/cd with amp and subwoofer. 39/18.5×15 Mickey Thomson Baja’s on aluminum wheels. This is not a show truck, it is super clean and built to drive. This CJ-5 has low miles with a working Auburn Trencher, rear helper coil springs, and a Koenig half-cab.

“1965 Willys CJ5 with Auburn Trencher. Front blade bracket/no blade. Dual wheel adapters with extra set of rims and tires. The Jeep has the-overload coil springs with leaf springs in the rear. It’s all there. Practically no miles on motor to speak of 5,000 +or – runs great, trencher works great. I do have dually adapters with the rims and tires that will go with it. Zero rust, great piece of history.

Looks in good shape. This is the 535 “Standard Cab” from Koenig, a model seems to have first appeared in early 1956.
“This is a rare Koenig Iron Works CJ5 half cab. The doors are in great shape and have roll up windows. The cab is in good shape. Some rust spots on bottom back, but is all there and was removed bolt by bolt. $700 or best offer”
