This looks nice enough, but based on the body and grille, it doesn’t appear to be a 1945 CJ-2a. Note the odd spring behind the driver’s seat in the third picture.

“I listed this Jeep a number of weeks ago for $2500, a very reasonable price, I thought. Several people looked at it but it didn’t sell. I have too many cars and even too many Jeeps. I need to find a new home for this post WWII Jeep. It has original four cylinder motor that was rebuilt at some point, new tires, an after market overdrive. ( previous owner used it as daily driver). the engine driven winch has a piece of metal broken off of it so doesn’t work. There had been quite a lot of rust on it. This was repaired with 18 gauge steel welded in. It has new paint. This Jeep will make a fun and inexpensive (compared to a all terrain vehicle) toy or a good working vehicle. I think the carb may need to be replaced or rebuilt because I have to keep choke out or it stalls”

“For sale is a completly restored 1954 Willys m-170. With only 1,400 miles on resotration. Rebuilt engine and transmission. Brakes have been completly rebuilt including new drums, shoes, wheel cylinders and backing plates. Body includes new floor pans and body has been completly redone. New CJ6 top. New wheels and new 31X10.50R15 Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers. Drives good and rides very well. Asking price is 9,500.00. Must really see to appreciate.”

HOG spotted this Hotchkiss. The mileage is stated as 3195, which seems a bit low.

Top bows, Beachwood Canvas summer top. 3 seats (driver, passenger, and single rear seat for radio operator). Axe and shovel. Gas can (5 gallons, red). Spare tire. French army # 645-0444 on front bumper and on left rear bumperette, along with French tricolor emblems. Electrical: 24 volt system (as set up for French Army radio jeep); electric wipers; NATO headlamps. Mechanical: Willys of France (Jeep) 4 cylinder engine, LaMaltournee ’74 w/Solex carb. Jeep runs and drives well, 4wd operates smoothly. Tires: 5 NDT tires with tubes, less than 750 Km’s since new. Odometer indicates 3,159 Km’s driven. Data plates: Willys. “Cool street machine!!!!!!!!!! Highly sought after “parkway conversion” special ordered from Willys Overland by U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Forest Service and other goverment agencies in very limited numbers. These examples combined the poplar wagon looks and high visibility with increased access to rear cargo area by retaining the ” barn style” rear doors of the panel delivery. Very limited and highly sought after combination! She’s powered by a 351cu.in. windsor motor with street compition cam, edelbrock performer intake with holley 650 double pumper carb. She breaths thru 302 mustang headers into 2&1/2 inch exhaust piping with flowmaster dual chamber mufflers. The front has been clipped with a monte carlo frame member….. sway bars, disc brakes, and power steering. Rear has stock willys leafs. 8.8 inch differential with 4.11 gears and rear sway bars and lakewood traction bars. Body is clean, straight, older but descent paint, custom louvers in hood and front valance, and a moon roof! She has a T10 four speed with a strong and tight clutch. Interior is clean with Z28 bucket seats grey carpet and brushed aluminum dash plating with custom guages: fuel,temp,tach, speedo, vaccuum,voltmeter all functioning. Clairion C/D player into 6 speakers. Original wood slatting in cargo area. This Willys drives well and steering is very tight— no wandering or pulling, one finger at highway speed. The is some bubbling on paint from my living at the beach but no major rust! Boby is very solid for being over 60 years old! Feel free to call with any questions, (my preference) any time.”
