” What a find. A 1957 Willys CJ-3B Luggage Conveyor Jeep. This vehicle was owned by TWA in Albuquerque New Mexico for the early part of it’s life. It was later used by Texas Air as a luggage conveyor to load their aircraft. This vehicle is complete, minus the conveyor for loading, but the front mounts are included. The engine turns but it doesn’t run at this time. This vehicle will have to be restored. There is information and pictures of similar Jeeps used at airports at cj3b.info.”

Engine is not in the jeep, comes with a Ford 200 inline 6 and an adapter plate. Engine is in good condition and is a bolt in to replace what was in it before. Has no title, good for parts, yard buggy and offroad toy.”

“1940’s Flat Fender Willys Jeep It does burn oil but runs EXCELLENT. Has been a great camping rig for the south hills all last summer. 4×4 works great. . will consider trade for car or small SUV. It needs some TLC but it is a lot of fun! Please message me for more details.”

(04/22/2014) Here’s an odd duck. Note the seller will thrown in the weight for only $100.
“For sale is a 1950 Jeep Willys truck with a snow plow and clear title. Registration was active until this spring and it has been used yearly for snow plowing. It runs and drives well, has a 72 horse power F motor with has a 3 speed with high/low 4 wheel drive. This Jeep started out as a farm implement and at some point in time it had the frame and body modified to accept the truck bed. The interior sports VW bucket seats. It will need brake work(currently very little brakes), exhaust, tires(have tread but very weather checked), has a bad spot on the ring gear, the windschield is cracked and it has rust. There are many directions that you could go with it from continueing to use it as a unique plow truck to making a 1 of a kind rat rod. It is being sold as is, needing repairs or for parts.”
UPDATE: Still Available
(11/22/2013) It runs and plows . . .
“Jeep 4X4 for plowing snow, pushing dirt, or whatever. Buick V/6,3 speed, High/Low Range, lock outs. Body was replaced with a home made wood one, kinda neet. Has Top and Curtains, with plexiglass windows. Runs good, needs some tinkering and fine tuning on a few things. $ 1650 or trade for what have you? Rod 989 928 23 four one. Also have a Willys truck cab to go with it for another $ 150.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.

No Updates until Tuesday morning. I hope everyone enjoyed Mother’s Day!
In the mean time check out this Willys Woodie (thanks to Merlin and Craig for forwarding the link) update from Hemmings:
You may remember that this Woodie was auctioned on eBay in 2012.
UPDATE: Was $2700. Status Unknown.
The body is custom.
“Got a early model Willys Jeep Cj2a 40’s era. Has the original straight 4 Go Devil Engine very strong doesnt smoke. Recently updated the 6 volt system to 12 volt. New rebuilt Starter, coil, rebuilt Distributor, body is in really good shape, new gas tank, pretty new from the front fenders back. If you’ve ever owned one you know they will climb or push over near anything, This thing is full time 4×4 right now. The brakes have air in the lines and I think the front pads might be a little stuck from sitting cause it makes a slight noise. Runs and Drives good. Might negotiate on my price a little”
This post was originally published Nov 20, 2013. It shows a jeep that was altered into sedan.
UPDATE: This photograph pair was also published in the February 22, 1945, issue of the IBT Roundup (Inda-Burma Theater Roundup)
==========================================================================
The May 1945 issue of Popular Mechanics published this little blurb about the 8th Air Force Bomber Station’s effort to transform a jeep into a sedan using only salvaged materials.
Jake’s jeep was handed down from his grandfather to his uncle and now to him. As you can see, it had undergone some unique modifications. Jake decided to refurbish the jeep, saving what he could of the modifications while returning other portions to a more stock look. I think it looks great. You can view higher resolution photos of this project here: http://imgur.com/a/r9dLW#0
Here’s Jake’s story:
Please as you read this take note of the doors, tub, tailgate, fenders, bumpers, windshield, cab, cab seat and maybe some other little things. I know the end product is not a STOCK cj2a but it looks good. I am trying to get info on who might have done this awesome metal work job 50+ years ago. Thanks for any info anyone can give me. 🙂
Okay, here is what I know about my great grandpa’s jeep. It is titled as a 1946 cj2a. Has the overhead valve f 134 engine in it. Had a column shift tranny but the side shifters have been welded so they cant move and a floor shifter was added. I was told he got the jeep in the 70s from a gas station in Michigan. He used it for 25 years to plow snow at a church. The plow that was used is shown in picture 1.
When he passed away my great uncle got the jeep and it sat in a barn for at least 10 years.—pictures 2-4a show this—.
We loaded the jeep up back on 2009 and that is when the project began. The jeep appears to have a custom body. Except the grill. We gt the jeep home and noticed it had heavy gauge steel. Everything is thicker then it should be except the grill.— thick fenders, body, doors and hood. They look to have been custom made by someone who knew what they where doing.
UPDATE: Was $6500. **SOLD** Now in Napa Valley.
“Really rare 1949 jeepster firetruck runs drives.”
Is this a wagon made into a truck?
“1953 willys custom pick up lotsof new stuff.no rust..body at 90% done.. asking 13500 obo..call or text if u need any info”
UPDATE: Hopefully this sold.
This is the third stretched jeep I’ve seen for sale in the Spokane area in the last few years. It is possibly a CJ-2L.
“I think its a 1944 willys jeep has the original flathead 4 cylinder four wheel drive works. was used to plow the driveway has a back blade. Hasn’t been ran since last winter should run, the frame has been broke by the front leaf springs.”
