“The jeep runs great with a new starter. Body is not too bad, needs TLC. Needs: paint, sanding body work. Mileage is 87500. Not sure it’s right. New tires, wheels & beauty rims. The jeep is in original shape.4 cyl. L head 134CI. All gears work good. Some rust on underside. Good exhaust system, heater, lights work good, Electric windshield wipers . Seats are fair to good condition. Floor boards good. Tool box under passenger seat with jack goes with. Has spare tire carrier. Has normal oil leaks on old jeeps. Hubs work good. Doesn’t smoke. Full rag top with doors.

Mike forwarded this ad. Seller notes the transmission is a “4 spd. semi automatic transmission” offered by Willys? Neither Mike nor I have.

“I purchased this vehicle from the original owner in Palm Beach Fla..I am the second owner,have owned it for 31 years,been mostly in storage always run and stored w/marvel mystery oil in fuel.All original including tires(special no flat tires,no dry rot cracks at all)Totally unmolested ORIGINAL.RARE 4 spd. semi automatic transmission,Maverick model.Only 2500 of this rare model originally made,and made for 2 years only.Original carpet and burlap headliner in this model only.Top speed is 78 mph hour compared to 55 mph for all other models.You will not find another one like it in original condition/almost no rust on body,undercoated from factory.Staining on paint was from wd40,oops.Runs and drives PERFECTLY.The only thing ever replaced was the radiator and water pump, just replaced last year No repairs ever,very mint and original rare model.Runs and drives perfectly.My age is why I am selling some of my vehicles, John,three 21-30 two-20 four four, for any Q’s. Many people say they have a Maverick model and do not.Very few around and I have never seen an unmolested original, in the condition like this one.The vin#5814712927 tells you that this is the rare and very driveable Maverick model (78mph speeds)that make it very enjoyable to drive on today’s roads. “Collector and show quality vehicle. Rare Willys make, CJ6 model, and body style. FRAME OFF restored, nut and bolt, immaculate and in perfect condition. TX truck, no rust.

Hurricane 4 cylinder OHV engine, 3 speed floor shift manual transmission, 2 lever transfer case (4WD and low/high range), ‘Selectro’ front locking hubs, original new steel wheels and new tires including side mount spare, folddown and flipout windshield, vacumn wiper- driver, hand wiper-passenger. AND a front PTO powered original Koenig winch (also restored) with the additional floor lever to engage and throttle control cable.

Original front and rear seats, now recovered in leather with cowhide inserts very nicely done.
No top. Just as beautiful underneath. Good title. Must see to appreciate. Best I’ve ever seen.

“This is a 1946 CJ2A Serial Number 48768 that is in original barn find condition. It has the hard to find governor and rear PTO setup for a farm jeep. It has many original part and has the original motor in it. It does not run, the motor does not turn over and the transmission and transfer case seem to be stuck as well. It is a great candidate for a restoration or just repair what’s needed and drive it. The front floors are the worst of the sheet metal, the rear quarter near the spare tire mount will need some work as well and the windshield is shot.”
