“1950 CJ3A. 200 Ford “Straight 6” out of 60’s Mustang. Runs amazing. New ring gear, starter, battery, fuel tank, sender, etc. Aluminum radiator. New STA Coker vintage style tires. Koenig half cab, nicest half cab I’ve ever seen! I might try and keep cab if new owner doesn’t want it. Body has some rust pockets from being in Colorado most of its life. Battery shut off switch. Kill switch on dash. Roll bar. Disc brakes. Good glass. Saginaw Steering conversion. Lots of work went into making this Jeep drive very well. Interior/ seats are very nice and comfortable. Needs just a little TLC, but can go on the trail today(shifter has some play). Clean title in my name. Located in Queen Creek, Arizona.”
Neither jeep has front frame horns, so it’s not clear exactly what years these are. Both appear to be militarized CJ-2As or CJ-3As in very good shape.

“I have what I believe is a earlier 3A for sale. 3A style frame anyway, I could poke through the other differences to tell for sure.
On the positive side, I did get it running and it starts and runs quietly. Original Carter carb. Not a lot of modifications made except for a few very serious modifications that may or may not be a lot of work to correct.(like the fenders) The dash etc is pretty straightforward with a minimum of holes drilled and things of that nature. Seat frames are good, hood could be okay for a driver. Grill has a little dinger in one of the bars that could be bent back. Older but still soft mud tires on 15” wheels. Drawbar is nice. Great oil pressure. I think basically someone was using this jeep for plowing and taking care of it mechanically until they weren’t. It had clean oil etc in the engine. The starter was missing so perhaps that is what took it out of service.

Not sure how much value is here. It doesn’t look military. I’m guessing CJ-3A (lacks from frame horns).

“Up for sale is this 1953 Willys CJ3A jeep.I got this in a package deal and have too many other flat fender projects going on so decided to find a new home.Yes this has a title!! Overall condition is fairly decent. The frame has some modifications as it’s been lifted and built for some off road action.Tub is also decent but will need a new front floor board as it’s been cut to allow for a small V6 motor. It has no steering column or steering box. Since I restore flat fender Jeeps for a living I added many items back on the rig. See photos for extra items or ask specifics. Again I do have the title and the first person with 2500 OBO cash is the new owner. Sorry NO trades and if you’re not serious or just a tire kicker, don’t bother or waste my time”
This has some early Husky hubs.

I don’t think the driver’s door seals against the windshield, so it’s an area where rain can get through.

(03/03/2024) TJ shared this M-38 (thought title reads CJ-3A), nicknamed Colonel Mustard. It’s got some updated running gear, along with a some other mods, including a metal hood that reminds me a little of a Bobcat fiberglass hood.

“Meet colonel mustard. Title says it’s a 1953 CJ3A. I had plans for this Jeep but honestly have too many Jeeps. The previous owner did a in line 6 swap with a later model syncro’d 3 speed transmission. It also has a later model open knuckle big brake Dana 30. It currently has an offset Dana 44 with a Dana 18 transfer case. It will come with an additional Dana 20 transfer case and centered Dana 44 rear to complete the more modern drivetrain. The body is in remarkable shape for its age. There are no rust holes and I believe it’s the original floor. This is a perfect starter project. It has what I assume is a 2.5-3 inch lift. It currently has 31s and will clear 33s. The engine ran when parked but has started a several years. Sad to see it go but it needs a new home”
UPDATE: Still Available.
