Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Newspaper Ads in 1965 & 1966 championed the CJs and the V-6 power plant, calling it The Flying Jeep. This first article was published on August 21, 1965, in The Evening Independent.
The Toledo Blade published an article two days after the one above, noted that Kaiser Jeep faced a new competitor, the Ford Bronco:
This ad was published in a variety of newspapers. This particular one appeared October 12, 1966, in the Southeast Missourian.

A reader shared this photo. It’s a reproduction photo, but still an interesting one to review because of the number of field modifications.
“This is a nice reproduction of an original World War Two photograph showing US Army nurses arriving to provide medical support for the liberation and evacuation of the Penig concentration camp (south of Leipzig) in 1945. The Penig camp primarily held women. Size is about 5″ x 5″.”

This is a great press release photo taken a little more than a week after the Bantam arrived at Holabird for testing. Thanks to Steve for finding it.
One thing I noticed about the photo. See how the dirt from behind the front fender was thrown onto the side of the jeep. I’m wondering if the thing we’ve called the step on the sides was actually not a step at all, but specifically designed as a mud flat to stop that from happening. I just never thought about it in those terms before (maybe I’m just behind the curve on that??).

An August 20, 1954, article in the Toledo Bade discussed Kaiser-Willys upcoming demonstrations at 23 major fairs in 15 states. The article included a photo of a Jeep-a-Trench Trencher.

This ad from the February 17, 1946, issue of the Sunday Morning Star, published in Delaware, shared the news that Irvin Sachs would be introducing the new universal Jeep.
Each of the men was listed. It would be a great find for one of their descendants.

John found these photos within the Bundesarchiv in Germany and put this history together. Thanks for sharing!
The first one is in Berlin, taken June 1, 1948. the German caption reads: Amerikanische MP. fährt mit armierten Jeeps und Panzern am Tage der Währungsreform durch die Westsektoren Berlins. (American MPs travel with armed jeep on the currency reform day thru the west sector of Berlin)
The second photo has a similar caption and is dated the same day.
The third one is also in is Berlin, but it is dated in May 1, 1950. It is at the Brandenburg Gate looking into the Soviet Sector from the British Sector, which starts almost behind the jeep. The gate is actually inside the Soviet Sector.

I thought the rims were unusual. I can’t remember running across these on any jeeps for sale.

A china shop in Boston used this CJ-3A as a delivery vehicle inside the warehouse.

This March 1957 article from Popular Mechanics highlighted the 1957 Jeep Jamboree in Texas. A few days ago a press photo showing the photo of the DJ-3A (just the front of it) landed on eBay for sale.
UPDATE: You can view an article in which this photo appeared here. That link also suggests that the date listed for the photo below of Dec. 1958 is incorrect.
I just wish they showed more of the jeep! Is that a “Jeep” Dispatcher logo on the side? (see logo at the bottom). Looks like that jeep could be a DJ-3A. As for the Jeep Jamboree event, this one was help in Texas near South Padre Island. This photo appeared in the February 1956 issue of Globetrotter. The jeeps were purchased by Manila’s Labor Law Commission.
