“I have a 1951 willies jeep it is the shortest jeep made. It has a Chevy 350 engine in it that was rebuilt not sure on the exact mileage but the miles are low It has a spool in the rear end The body is in fair shape given its age The previous own wanted to get rid of tail gate to give it a smoother look a used a lot of bondo so the bondo is chipping off It had the original trany and t- case behind the 350 motor and ended up cracking the housing So I found a 4 speed trany and a t- case for a Chevy 350 to put in it Just need to put it in have some drivelines made and give it a tune up and it will run I’m asking 3000 obo. This is a great project and dont think it will last long Also have half doors”

This project is a fiberglass body on MB/GPW running gear.
“I have a 1942 cj2a for sale. It has a buick v6 motor with a sm465 transmission and a dana 20 transfer case. It is a fiberglass body with a nice red paint job. it is a little bit of a project, the electrical is 90 percent done all that is left is all the wiring for the gauges. the motor turns over and it will start. the linkage for the transmission and pedals still needs to be hooked up and it needs a gas tank, I have a gas tank that will go with it but its not a direct fit. the shallow exhaust manifold is mounted so it clears the steering rod. i bought it from a guy who had 5 other jeeps and didn’t have the time to work on this one. it has 32 inch bfg all terrains. The vehicle is currently non-op. with a little more time it would be a head turner. i am entering the chp academy soon and this is my third vehicle. feel free to come look at it and make an offer. 530 906 4645”
UPDATE: Still No Pics. Still Available.

Robin just posted pictures from the June 1950 Issue of Home Craft’s “Town & Country” Jeep Conversion. This was a two issue project.
He posted high resolution versions of this transformation on FLICKR.
Here are some of the images:
These looks mostly like Ford GPs, but the base of the windshield looks a little low.
This seller has a variety of similar old photos for sale.
“This is an “ORIGINAL PERIOD GLOSSY PHOTO” of a POST WAR AGRI-JEEP CJ-2A PROVIDES POWER FROM PTO FOR BUZZING WOOD, photo date -1945. The condition is very good and measures 8″ x 10″.”
This is a repainted Pepsi Scrambler Jeep Go Kart. Several of these are shown at the CJ-8 page, including one with the original design. The Kart should have a windshield.
“For sale is an early 80’s Pepsi Promotional Jeep Go kart. Rare, Runs and drives great. This would be a great project to restore for parades or car shows. The fiberglass has some breaks and cracks in it as you can see in the pictures. It has a 3hp Briggs and Straton motor. The last picture is of one I found on the internet to show what they looked like when new. This is not a picture of mine. My go kart did not come with a windshield or have any indication of ever having one.”
This article was published in a 1945 issue of the Country Gentleman Farmer. I can’t figure out which issue it was.
These are very early hubs.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $16,000
Nice looking jeep.
“Restored 1951 M38 Willy’s Army Jeep – Ser. No. 24,675 MFG 9-51
The M38 only had a two year production run, during which time only 62,329 were built (compared with the nearly 650 thousand MB’s and GPW’s built during WWII). It has several unique characteristics with the WWII jeep. First with 24 volt electrical system, one piece windshield, tires sized 7×16 instead of the 6×16, and last and best of flat fender jeeps, last of the flat head 4 cylinder engines, and first jeep with true fording capabilities (sealed sparkplugs and distributer) when equipped with a snorkel and tail pipe extension and of course the removable tailgate.
Though restored, this has been changed to a 12 volt system and does not have the sealed(waterproof)plugs. So here is an M38 that no only looks good, but is road ready.
The trailer is restored and used in the Memorial Day Parade. SOLD AS A PAIR ONLY
Located in Weatherford, Texas”
