My friend’s father died and he had it running last year. Gas tank is on the seat inside. No brakes and no tail lights. It is a 4WD vehicle. “So, this has been in my family for quite a while. Believe my great grandpa ‘created’ this back in the 80’s and would mainly use it as a hunting vehicle. To my understanding mostly all the exterior is fiberglass, cab space is mainly sheet metal, engine and chassis are from an old jeep (willys jeep or jeep CJ) sometime in the 1940’s-60’s. Price is OBO, if you think you have any info on the chassis and engine based on the pictures let me know, I would like to learn more about it myself. Have the cylinder head and other parts but are in kind of rough shape as you could assume”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $5500.
(10/28/2020) Lots of clearance for the F-head in this CJ-2A.

“1949 Jeep Willys Jeep CJ3A. Been sitting since early 80s, have Dana 25 axles to swap with a willys wagon frame. The willys is 100% complete down to the key and 6v battery from the 80s. The motor is currently stuck but has been bathing in mystery oil the last few months. It was parked due to front axle situation. No title but your local tow yard can get you one for cheap. The frame is solid however tub has some rot, which is reflected in the price. If you are looking for an unmolested project, here is your chance! ”

John B. is a fan of Rod Taylor, an actor who starred in the short-lived 1971 TV series “Bearcats”, which John watched as a teen. I was six in 1971 and don’t remember ever watching it. Here’s an introduction to it:
The reason this top surfaced is because John sent me a photo showing Rod Taylor with a CJ-5. The question is, does it have a Tux package? It appears to have chrome hood latches and a chrome bumper, but the bumper is straight and not curved like a Tux Park package. Did the 1961-63 Tux Packages ever used a straight bumper like that?

“1951 Willys M38 project my son and I started a few years ago. He has since moved away and is busy building his career, so it is time for the M38 to go. It had a Buick V-6 oddfire which was no good, so we built up a GM slightly later model V-6, which is currently in the longblock stage. Have most of the parts and sheetmetal, just needs someone to finish. Have title.”
The seller has the governor handle, but not the governor assembly (if I understand correctly).

“1949 CJ3a PTO assembly with the Belt Drive adapter.
Still currently mounted in the jeep so it can be used and shown to work, planning on pulling it sometime this month. Only thing missing is the Novi Governor under the hood. I don’t intend to restore this jeep to factory and it doesn’t suit any need I have other than looking really cool.
This PTO should mount to any CJ jeep or most older Jeeps that have the Dana 18 transfer case from what I know.
I’m selling just the PTO assembly, not the whole Jeep”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(10/10/2023) It’s a project that sounds like it must be sold.
