“Selling my M38 G-740 Korean War jeep. Great candidate for restoration or drive as is. T-90 3 speed transmission hi-lo and 4×4 in and out. Clean title in my name ready to transfer. These jeeps are better than any side by side UTV hands down. New tires and new “correct exhaust”. The jeep could use brake and steering adjustments. Lights aren’t hooked up. It has all the data plate minus one. Has the data plate behind the passenger seat too. Runs strong, will do 55+ mph. Looking for Ford GPW or parts.”
UPDATE II: This sold on eBay for $20,300.
UPDATE: I thought this had sold on eBay 09/2020. On the ebay ad the extra plate could be seen. It is a remanufactured jeep, completed by the Moore Corporation (data plate on dash).
The seller of this jeep, which as been stored for 50 years, claims this is all original. But, this Willys MB had GPW tool lids. It also has a small plate, probably a reconditioning plate, above the standard data plates. I wish there was a close-up pic of the dash.
Looks in good shape. It was previously listed in Portland.

“I am listing this 1947 Willys Overland Jeep CJ2A for a friend of mine. This Jeep has been in the same family for approximately 71 years and has never been licensed for the road. It was used exclusively for field maintenance and general farming related duties. Has the very rare and desirable 3-point hitch with rear PTO, along with an aluminum winter cab.
Also comes with extras, some of which include:
: A 6′ Detroit Harvester Cutter Bar ( Model MDL-MM-6, ser. # 241)
: Extension arms for the hydraulic lift
: 8″ Belt pulley
: Extra engine governors
: Chains
: Two extra rims
: Additional windshield
: Universal & Farm Jeep Mechanics Manual
Needs restoration, but in running condition with only superficial light rust on some exterior body panels, where paint has degraded over the years, and at the corner step at the left door. In fact, if you look closely underneath, where it really matters – at the frame, the suspension, the floors, etc. – there is virtually no rust, thanks to a salt-free life on the farm and the occasional metal-preserving hydraulic leak that this Jeep experienced over the years.
Asking $9,200 or R/O”

“$500 and 15 hours and it can be running and driving great. We parked it when we were putting a tune up on it about 4 years ago. Points were bad and then I got sidetracked.
It is 24 volt. It does seem to be all original.
After you, Grease it. Batteries. Coil, fluids and it’s close to on it’s way. This isn’t a big project. It’s some minor repairs and you’re off. Tires are excellent.
Bill of sale only. Spell it Willys. Willy’s. Jeep.
Not a cj5 cj7.
Military
Almost no rust through. It has been restored before. Surface rust where the paint has worn.

Per Joe-in-Mesa: “Jun’s dream was to restore/finish the M170 project as the new MASH jeep due to it’s rot-free body, then outfit it with all the ambulance gear, canvas and medical supplies. This would leave a buyer with a “leftover” solid, running M170 to sell or do the body work or just enjoy for off-roading fun in a stretched jeep.”
“Fully Outfitted M170 Field Ambulance. June 1954. #11414. 24V.

of medical related equipment.

“1942 Willys MB Jeep built 1/8/1942. The serial # is 110515, frame # 110515, engine # MB595247. This Jeep was restored 18 years ago and driven 20 miles since. The Jeep has the original metal and Tub with some rust in the forward hat channel and a dent behind the passengers seat (see photos). The engine starts easily and runs very well, the transmission works as it should. The transfer case works correctly but is dripping some oil. All gauges work except the fuel gauge. The tires are as new and the brakes are very good. All electrical is working except the horn. Correct dish wheels. This Jeep has the correct steering wheel, the later WWII jeeps had the steel spoke wheels to save rubber.
This is a good looking and good driving 42 MB.”
