1962 CJ-5 Brush Truck Frederick, MD $10,500
Body has some rust and at least one floor patch. I haven’t seen the front loop of a roll cage attach to a dash with just one bolt on each side like this one.

“1962 Willys Jeep CJ5 Dept. of Agriculture Forest Service Brush Truck 6. I do not have documented proof that this was an original fire Jeep but if it wasn’t someone went thru a lot of trouble to make it one. Starts, runs, stops and drives well. Prior to my ownership it appears to have been re-wired and a new generator was installed.
1948 CJ-2A Fire Jeep Stamp on eBay
Here’s an unusual item being sold out of Austria. It’s a 1998 stamp of a 1948 CJ-2A fire jeep.
1952 M-38A1 Brimley, MI eBay
Starting bid is $3999. It runs and drives.

“1952 Willys M38A1 4X4
This is a true military Jeep.
It starts, runs, shifts, drives, and stops as it should. It starts easy enough with pre pumping the gas, and using the manual choke. It runs good. I haven’t noticed any problems with the 3 speed manual transmission or transfer case. I don’t think it has brake lights or turn signals. Some original equipment exists like the light switch panel but I don’t think any work. The headlights and taillights function at some level, they do turn on.
Some of the electrical system has been converted to 12v from typical military 48v, battery, alternator, starter, headlights. The oil volt and temp gauges function. Not the fuel tho, my granddad used a paint stir stick on his so… The brakes are typical for non-power front drum setups. They could use an inspection but operate.
1954 CJ-3B Redmond, OR **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $300.
This has some interesting mods. Maybe was a fire/brush jeep?
“Good for parts no title grill and front fenders are solid no wheels and tires could deliver for a small fee”
1952 Navy Foam Fire Fighting Jeep Prototype
UPDATE: Thanks to Ted, below I’ve added an article and more images from a March 1953 Popular Science article about the little fire fighting jeep, also known as the “Little Squirt”.
This video from the National Archives Catalog shows a special-purpose fire fighting jeep the Navy was testing. The video is divided into two parts. The first part shows the jeep fighting a fire. The second part shows the jeep from various angles. I’ve also included some images from the video below. (If the video is slow or doesn’t work, go here to download the video).

Rudy’s Flower Truck
Jim and his wife Tracey spotted Brittany together with Rudy’s Flower (FC) Truck yesterday afternoon in St. Louis, so he took these photos. I’ve seen this FC appear in a few posts on Facebook and was hoping someone would track it down. Speaking of FB, you can visit Rudy’s Flower Truck page here (or through the website or instagram)
Brittany mentioned to Jim that Rudy’s hopes to expand its fleet by adding another FC that won’t break the bank. So, if you have an FC you’d like to sell which you hope to see go for a good purpose, contact Rudy’s.
Since Brittany is purportedly an eWillys reader, which clearly means she has excellent taste, I have some questions. Who is/was Rudy? Was this Rudy’s FC? Inquiring minds need to know!

Blitz Buggy(?) Fire Truck Lincoln Park, NJ **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** … may have been relisted here: http://www.ewillys.com/2022/12/12/1957-blitz-buggy…oneonta-ny-14500/
(06/1/2019) This has a working pump and a freshly rebuilt flathead 6. The Blitz Buggy Fire Truck’s I’ve seen (one from 2014 & CJ-3B Page) didn’t have the pump on the front. So, I’m not sure if this is a hybrid Blitz Buggy or something else.

1943 MB Fire Jeep Phoenicia, NY **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
This could make a neat restoration project.
“For your consideration, a fire department owned mb jeep.
As you can see it has spent some time outside and has rusted in the front floors mostly….will need a complete restoration to bring it back to its former glory.
The engine is an original military block and also has a lot of the original accessories. The transmission shifts fine. I have not tried to start the jeep due to electrical and fuel systems needing attention.
Would make a nice restoration project, there’s plenty of good parts to work with. Has four original combat wheels on it.”
DJ-3A Dispatcher Pizza Jeeps
Mike spotted this 1960s photo on Facebook. It shows some DJ-3A Dispatchers doing pizza delivery work for Volcano Pizzeria, a North New Jersey pizza place in the 1960s. Mike notes there were a lot of pizza jeeps in the area at the time.
Jeep Truck Cargo-Personnel Carrier Brochures on eBay
UPDATE II: It appears there were two models of the Cargo-Personnel Carrier. One brochure shows that the Willys-Overland Export Company was the only entity offering this no-door Cargo-Personnel Carrier internationally (no mention of “Willys Motors” on the end of the last page of the brochure, but the bottom brochure’s last page shows both names). Here are the brochures’ cover pages side by side:
Both are currently listed on eBay. Here’s the first:

1952 M-38A1 Fire Dpt Jeep Larkspur, CA **SOLD**
UPDATE:**SOLD** Was $5750
Bill shared this former Tahoe Fire Department Jeep. Pretty neat!
“From Korea to California, this Willys/Jeep has seen it all. If this Jeep could talk! Plenty of war wounds to let your mind run wild.
Hi, I’m selling my 1952 M38A1 Willys. The Willys has seen a very colorful life, starting with its tour of duty during the Korean War era to its rebirth as a rim fire Willys Jeep, putting out rim fires along the Northern Sierras in the Tahoe National Forest. Bumps and bruises tell the story of the life of this non-stop built to do service, Willys. 90 thousand original miles. All of the Military accessories are still on the Willys and intact. The Willys has never let me down. This is a numbers matching Jeep! Fresh tuneup, fresh rebuilt carb, This Willys is turn key and ready to go, and is a blast to drive. The ‘ol Willys get thumbs up everywhere we go, and, I’ve never washed it, the Willys has earned the dirt and dust that this workhorse wears! Below is a bit of history in regards to the legacy of the Willys M38A1….Enjoy!
