Andy spotted this one. Appears to be missing the arms and the driveshaft (1955 brochure)?

“Up for sale is a Roper Post Hole attachment that I believe goes to a Willys Jeep. Was on our property when we bought it, so I don’t know much about it. Auger wiggles at gear box, so believe gear box is free. What you see is what I have. Will sell to the best reasonable offer”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(10/13/2023) Unclear if the rear floater are original or aftermarket, but it does have side indents.

“42 willys flat fender. This is a project vehicle, it has a mid 60s 327 that will turn over but I never got started. Has bigger front and rear ends. Fiber glass tilt front end. Aluminum wheels and nice tires.”
This column-shift CJ-2A has lots of rust.

“Jeep is a 1946 willys jeep ECV .most sought after willys jeep only 33,000 or so were manufactured. Not running it is a project but really quite solid and sound .engine will not turn .tires still hold air all original .Pretty sure it was a military jeep..It has 42,000 miles .I have the windshield and hood ..”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $11,500.
(08/30/2023) Simone emailed me about selling a CJ-3B that’s been in the family for three generations. The DMV notes the jeep isn’t in the system, so the family couldn’t apply for a lost title. The DMV told them to go the affidavit of loss route in WA state (unsure about other states). The pics do show it has a serial number data plate. If you have questions, email Simone at staff @ davisinvestors.com (remove the spaces around the @) (or here
UPDATE: Price dropped to $8000.
(10/09/2022) This has some mods.

“Hi there, for sale is my 1947 Willy’s Overland CJ2A. This little jeep has been an awesome vehicle, and doesn’t need much. It has the F-Head Hurricane Willy’s engine that was torn apart and completely gone through, along with the transmission and transfer case. Gaskets and seals were replaced and fresh oil throughout the drive train.
This will start on the first crank even after sitting for a couple weeks. The differentials have fresh fluid and the manual hubs have been gone through.
The transfer case has a high and low range Newer drum brakes and it stops reasonably well.
I drive it all over town and have had it on the freeway for short periods. It will go 35 great, but should probably get some new tires if you plan on long freeway trips.
The Jeep is coated in a Linex type coating that is extremely tough. No rust on the Jeep, any old spots were cut out and repaired by the previous owner. Asking $8,500 open to trade offers.”
This ad was published in Time Magazine, date unknown, which often published unique ads that I haven’t seen other places. The use of Willys-Overland about the model name suggests to me it might be a 1947 or late 1946. I don’t remember the Jacobsen Manufacturing or its mowers appearing in any other ads.
Priced at $10 OBO, this is a nice looking CJ-2A. Not obvious date.

“Beautiful photograph from roadside America. Jeep CJ-2A with full hard top. Super-clean vehicle. Post-war period, photo is undated. Suburban background subject matter. Pic is chemically produced on glossy scalloped-edge photo paper and is a good black and white. Rectangular pic measures 3.5″ x 5.25″ and is in excellent condition.”

“1946 CJ-2A VEC (Very Early Civilian). This Jeep is an early production of the CJ-2A with a column shift transmission. I am the 3rd owner and have documentation from the original family including pictures and the history. It was purchased by a family friend who had it restored. The Jeep includes many accessories including an extended bed and an original style half cab top. I am currently in the process of installing a new radiator, new transmission synchronizers and some steering components. If you want it before I get that work done, we can negotiate a lower price.”

“Edit: buyer who I was holding the Jeep for did not come so it’s back up for sale is my 1947 Willys CJ2A. I’ve owned this Jeep for several years, I did not do the restoration on the Jeep. If you’re looking for a “correct” Willys this is definitely not the one for you. The Jeep has a mix of aftermarket parts as well as an aftermarket body kit, you DO not have to worry about rust repair with this Jeep as other flat fenders of this era. It runs and drives okay, I ended up buying a Ford GPW military jeep so I’ve lost interest in maintaining and driving it. Clean and clear PA title in my name. With a Jeep this age there are a few issues- typical Jeep oil leaks. Occasionally the transmission will grind when downshifting into second, it DOES not pop out of gear, just will grind when going to a downshift. The fuel gauge also is not accurate whatsoever, I believe this to be a float issue, the rod might need to be adjusted accordingly to the fuel level in the tank. Vehicle is sold AS IS.”
If this weren’t a 900 mile round trip, I’d snag it. It would be great for towing behind the Tour Jeep.

“This is a trailer made with a box from an old jeep willys fc170 pickup truck. The box is 9′ long on the inside and 4’1″ wide on the inside. Cheap utility trailer, or build an overland expedition trailer. You could fit 31″ tires or maybe larger. Stake pockets to easily put a rack on it and rooftop tent. No title, but it’s pretty easy to get one. It’s wired but the wiring most likely needs work. Tailgate works as it should. Safety chains.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $6250. As Muley notes, and I completely missed, this is 2WD. The engine and radiator suggests 2A, but the front frame rails have been modified, so those are no help in identifying it. The axle might be DJ, but it is five lug. So, appears a mix of parts based on the pics.
(02/26/2023) This has a fiberglass body with a solid back and a fiberglass front clip.

“Clear title. I have the hood, fenders and tailgate. The hood is the only part not pictured that is rust free. The engine in it is locked. I do have a second F-head engine that will be included that had been removed from a running 1960 model (I believe), extra front axle, and lots of extra odds and ends.”
UPDATE: Brad spotted the controls for a crankshaft powered winch. Should be like this one?
