DESCRIPTION –
How unique is this?
A surviving BUILT WWII-era model … and not an airplane or boat.
And this model is hand-dated on the bottom: “DM Aug 13-14, 1946”.
It does not appear to be a Leddy (tires are different, also shorter and narrower), Mod-AC (longer than 7 inches), or RedYCut (longer than 7 3/4 inches) model.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was listed on an auction site.
Bill shared this wagon for sale that’s listed for auction on a site that’s new to me: Fourbiexchange.com. The passenger side floor has a patch, but may be solid.
“The Willys Jeep Utility Wagon was first introduced in 1946 as a civilian vehicle, following the end of WWII. It was a departure from the military-focused Jeeps and aimed at providing a practical and versatile vehicle for civilian use. The design featured a boxy and utilitarian body style, and was one of the first mass-produced all-steel station wagons.
This Utility Wagon is powered by the original Hurricane Flathead Straight 6 that is paired with a 3-speed manual transmission and two speed transfer case with low and high ranges and manual locking hubs. The vehicle runs and shifts well, and the 4×4 system works as it should.
A recent refurbishment has been completed that included a thorough rust removal, body work, and repaint in period correct two-tone green and white. The refurbishment was fairly comprehensive (some photos included), but is not concourse quality. The windshield is new and additionally, several bits of weatherstripping have also been replaced to ensure the Utility Wagon stays leak free.
In addition to the body work and paint, fuel tank and all lines were replaced along with new filters and a complete carb rebuild on the old 2bbl Carter. New front and rear springs and shocks were fitted, new brake lines (hard and soft) installed, new brakes (shoes, rotors, wheel cylinders, etc) installed, and new wheel bearings fitted. Most of the exhaust has been replaced as well.
On the interior, the seat was pulled out and the frame cleaned up and repainted and some durable black denim was wrapped around it. The heat works and so do the lights and blinkers. The windows roll up and down the wing windows open as they should, providing a nice breeze as you drive.
Service recently performed includes a re-grease and oil change in both the rear Dana 44 and front Dana 25 axles.
This Utility Wagon comes with 1 set of keys, a CT Registration, CT Q1 form (official transfer of ownership form), CT Bill of Sale and a letter of title exemption from the state of CT.”

“1949 Willys Overland (Jeep) pickup. Sold in 1950 as a 1950 model year. Runs and drives beautifully. Everything original except portions of the interior. No rust other than light surface on frame. Always garaged and driven a few miles a year when the weather is nice to keep fluids moving. 4wd with 2 speed transfer case, go-devil 4 cylinder. Inherited from my dad so I don’t know a ton about it but I’ll do my best to answer questions. Had to put in a price for the listing but Best Offer gets it.”

Sadly, this is the last issue from the batch of Jeep News issues purchased last month. I’ll watch for more to hit eBay …
The eight pages of the November 1962 issue of Jeep News directs most of its pages to the new jeep models, which isn’t too surprising. Apart from that, page six covers the 3rd Annual Jeepathon race at Las Cruces, New Mexico, while page seven highlights more support for the Hatari movie.
I won the ebay auction for these two interesting wood jeeps. Each measures 6-1/2″ long x 4′ high x 3″ wide. I tried to look up some information about them, but didn’t have any luck. That said, I just had a gut feeling that there was something interesting here, so I bought them. Anyone know more about them?
I just happened to run across these hubs. That the box is included suggests they might not have much wear.
