This MB was restored by the seller’s father who served in Japan. If you live near Williamsburg or are/were an MVPA member, you may have seen it in local parades.
“1944 restored Willy’s Army Jeep. My late WWII Veteran Father purchased this restored Jeep in 2000 from a Gentleman in Louisville KY. My Dad drove one like it in Japan during the War. He used this one for local parades.
He had a stroke in 2008, and I became his driver for the events. He just passed this April at 94. It needs to go to someone who can appreciate it and use it like my Father did. Selling to help settle his Estate.
New Tires put on 10/2017 Coker 6.00-16 Military Tires
All oils changed two years ago. We only did about two Parades a year, dependent on the weather. Last parade we did was in 2019.
Everything works at it should. Very low maintenance vehicle.
Was stored in my climate controlled drive-in basement.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $17,500.
(05/27/2020) Looks like a nice combo.

This could possibly be a late 1948 or 1949 CJ-2A. Either that or it is a 3A with a replacement 2A body.

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/cto/d/san-gabriel-1956-willys-jeep-cj6/7174448826.html
“Mostly original – 4cyl hurricane engine, 3 spd transmission, front lock/unlock hubs, 6V. Vintage hard top with glass in-tact. Matching spare wheel. Engine bay reasonably clean, engine and drive train needs solid cleaning. Gauges mostly not working, 6 volt, wiring has had a few things added but it is mostly original. Floor boards rough. Tires hold air but are not road-worthy. 26xxx on the ODO but it isn’t working. Needs fuel line cleaning and new gas tank (or have it refurbed). Originally forest green. Bring a trailer or get ready to tow it (2” tow kit installed and goes with vehicle).
There’s some kind of bar installed between the front frame rails. Unclear what it did/does.
https://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/bar/d/mckinney-1951-willys-jeep-mb/7135110745.html
“All original!! Original four-cylinder 60hp motor, all lights in working order that air raid light/blackout light is the light on the fender as well as the headlights even the gauge lights work! Tires are almost new but I have been driving it quite a bit lately… Original windshield wipers that are exhaust fed, original front and rear seats, original plates on the dashboard As well as all the brackets on the bumpers for lifting and towing… original even down to the front tow rope. Too many extra list!
Mechanically this jeep is amazing! The brakes have been re-done recently you can see it in the photos… This jeep goes maximum speed of 50 miles an hour most of these jeeps only go 30 to 35… It’s reliable starts every time even when it hasn’t been driven for weeks! Transmission is great all the gears work including the low and high, all the axles work, this is a running machine and I’ve been using it to drive my daughter to school each day and take the family out on rides on the weekends.
No tire kickers please serious inquiries only! I don’t have time for time wasters that have a lot of questions and want to talk about history… Serious callers only… Text is great and if we want to proceed we can talk on the phone…”
This CJ-2A looks in excellent shape. It’s got a few updates/mods.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was auctioned for $17,500.
Blaine shared this Bring-A-Trailer auction for a nice looking FC-170. I love the old school washer bag hanging from the dash. I have an OEM foot actuated bag in Patterson, but don’t have pics at the moment; instead, here are pics of the Allstate washer bag that came with Patterson.

“This 1963 Jeep FC-170 is finished in two-tone red and white over beige vinyl and is powered by a 226ci Super Hurricane inline-six paired with a three-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. The truck is equipped with a bed-mounted spare, a hydraulic plow frame, and a rear-mounted winch. The selling dealer acquired the truck in 2017, and service during their ownership included an oil change and replacement of the brake lines as well as the rear brake drums and hardware. This Kaiser-built Jeep Forward Control is now offered in Indiana with a clean Pennsylvania title.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $60k.
This has been available for at least a few months. I wonder how many of these M-38A1s are left with a rifle?
“M38A1 With Mounted M40 106mm Recoilless Rife The M38A1 was the first vehicle to feature the round fender design that would later become the distinguishing body style of the CJ-5 (part of the Universal CJ series). Produced first in 1952, following the retirement of the M38 model, the M38-A1 was re-designed as an “stand-alone” improvement, featuring round front fenders, a contoured hood, a two-piece windshield, top mounted windshield wipers, and powered by the new “Hurricane” F-Head engine and Warner T90 transmission.
